Hi All,

I hope you are doing well. This is my first thread on here, so apologies if I make any errors.

I just wanted some support really. I am almost 7 weeks pregnant, despite using contraception. It was completely unplanned and has really concerned me, as I am going through some health issues at the moment.

Due to my health issues, I have decided to have a termination. It really upsets me as I didn't want to go down this route, but Im not well. Luckily, my husband is very supportive and says my health comes first.

I have opted for a medical termination. I've been in and out the hospital a lot the past few weeks and I wanted to do the termination at home. My mum is available to look after me when DH is at work and DS is at school.

I am planning to take the first pill on Tuesday after my appointment and the second lot of pills on Wednesday.

Could anyone advise me who has gone through this? How did you manage pain wise? What pain killers did you take and when?

Please don't tell me horror stories or make me feel guilty. Like I said, it's for medical reasons. I believe women should have the option to terminate if they are not in a position or ready to have a baby. Contraception can fail at any time.

Yea I guess I was lucky . My bleeding was really bothering I collapsed on day 4 and was rushed to the ER
Stayed for 4 hours with no doctor nor nurses coming to attend to me I was frustrated and had to leave ..

I spoke with the BPAS yesterday telling them about the result
And she said that it's a sign it worked and would still need me to have another test done in 2-3 weeks

So far my bleeding has been very light and sometimes thick brown

I got some anti biotics to help for infections.

I'm glad it worked for me

My appetite is back now and I'm wishing y'all luck too

I hope you are ok now @AdoremoM , sorry about your bleeding.

My bleeding is light but red. So I don't know what that means to be honest.

My nausea has come down a lot, no vomiting and my breasts are not aching like they used to. I had a lot of acid reflux before and was coughing, now my cough has completely disappeared.

I'm just very nervous, I'm scared it hasn't worked :(.

@Mummy8908 honestly! I'm going to wait the 3 weeks but I'm just a bit nervous. My boobs have calmed down a lot but they're still a bit painful. My bleedings still there a little but it's like maybe day 5 on a day 7 period if you know what I mean.

Maybe we should take another one this weekend and see what it says? Or should we just be patient?

@abitscaredd I'm actually really nervous about all this :(. I'm telling myself to wait for the 3 week mark but it's difficult. I have read for some women it can take a while for the hcg to come out of the system. I just feel like going in for surgery at this point so that I can move on.

I took my test today as instructed and pretty sure it’s negative. It said not to look at it after 10 minutes and I did and there is what I think a small indent line. So that got me all anxious but partner and mum both think negative too.

im still light bleeding that’s red. Mainly when I wipe. Feeling fine in myself other than that.
hope everyone else is doing ok 💞

That was the test they gave me, the 1,000 miu one.
I took a normal one over the counter and that was positive but I’m guessing it’s because that was 10 miu and picked up some hcg.

@Mummy8908 thank you 💞 I really hope everything goes ok for you when you test. I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you 🤞🏼 I stupidly kept the test and keep looking at the indent line that obviously got a little darker the longer it was left. I should have binned it as it just makes my anxiety play up 🙈

@AdoremoM I’m on day 15 and just bleeding when I wipe, it’s like pink tinted. It’s been that way since about day 12 for me 💞

my daughter really wants me to take her swimming and not sure if I should risk it or wait. It’s only when I wipe and nothing on the pad. Some say online wait until bleeding has stopped fully and some say you can wear a tampon after 1 week and when you feel ready. So confusing 🙈

@AdoremoM how are you feeling? My pads definitely just have light spots on them by the end of the day, but when I wipe I'm definitely still bleeding and getting clots coming out maybe every 4 days or so? How's your bleeding?

Also took a pregnancy test. It has a top window which indicates it has worked and a bottom window which must have 1 line only. I asked a nurse and she said its negative.

Like @Flowermama12 when I took it initially there was no line but I looked after and it darkened a tiny bit. Nurse said it looks negative to her.

Nausea all gone and I'm eating, boob pain 90% gone and I feel OK really. But why do I have doubts? I have a vibrating feeling in my vagina, not even sure what the hell it is? I should be relieved on the negative result but just feel down. Am I being silly?

I stopped bleeding on day 10
My lower belly was sore all through but it's all better now

I had sex on day 12 and started spotting immediately
But it stopped before morning

I got a negative test result on day 10 or so

Haven't done another
Today is the 14th day after MA

I guess it worked .

I do my best to take my mind off it always el
Although I doubt it worked

Hi all, sorry to post on here rather than start a new thread, I have my consultation tomorrow morning for MA with MSI. Can anyone tell me what sort of things they will ask and how long I am likely to wait for the tablets etc? I am just over 6w now and really want this over with. Thank you xx

Please is anyone here who may have spotted 2 weeks after a medical abortion
After 6 days of no bleeding .

I'll be 3 weeks post MA on Tuesday and just today I went to use the toilet and noticed I was spotting.
With little to no cramp .

Tested negative already

Could this be normal ?

I finally tested negative today 3 weeks on the dot. As you can all imagine this has been just one of the most stressful things I've had to deal with I'm just glad it's finally over.

I have to say a massive thank you to all of you ladies as you really helped me through this time. I hope this thread can really help people the way it helped me you're all amazing.

Is there a possibility that my period could have returned 3 weeks after medical abortion ?

Today is the 3rd week and it feels like my period had returned

Been having back aches, tummy grumbling and mild cramps in my belly..
Nothing much on my pad
But when I sit on the toilet.

I am really confused as this is really stressing me out right now.

I already tested negative with All pregnancy test
But this is really confusing .

Has anyone bled off and on after a medical abortion ?

@AdoremoM yes I'm pretty sure your period can come back this quickly. I felt like I was ovulating a few weeks ago, and I'm sure I remember my nurse telling me it was normal

Just 10days after my MA

I have just called Bpas and was booked in for an examination.

They said since I'm bleeding again with back ache and mild cramps I may have to do an ultra sound scan .

Can't believe all this isn't over yet

Very pleased for you @abitscaredd 💛. @AdoremoM I hope everything is resolved soon for you. I was also thinking your period is on its way.

Not good news from me. I have vibrations in my vagina, I can't actually explain it. I'm going for an ultrasound tomorrow. I have a strong feeling I have retained products, although my bleeding has stopped. Very fed up and emotionally drained from this process.

Hi All,

Wanted to update. I had my scan yesterday and thankfully no retained products, complete abortion and negative test.

I'm so relieved I can't explain it. All the worrying and stress has made me quite poorly but this too shall pass.

Thank you so much for all your support, kindness and patience. Honestly, this thread has comforted me in a dark and uncertain time.
