Anyone due in August?

I am due my second baby boy on 18th August. Just went to midwife on Thurs and was told he is breech - panicking slightly, as I thought by this stage (34+ weeks) they pretty much stay in the same position! Midwife tells me there is plenty of time for him to turn, so fingers crossed!
Would hate to have to have c-section as I found giving birth to my first little boy naturally 16 months ago very painful, but the most rewarding and fantastic experience I have ever had.

Princess - I hate to tell you this but if you are induced on the 10th you could still have the baby on the 11th! Induction isn't always quick !

Oh, I dyed throughout pregnancy. Just didn't have the chance to get to the box before my waters broke!

PPH my dd was born 11/9/99 (due 9/9/99), weirdly I knew nothing about the incidents of '9/11' until tea time because we were busy doing 'birthday' things but afterwards was awful. I feel sad that her special day has a dreadful focus for many people.

I spoke to a dear friend earlier today who has many reasons to remember the worst bits of 'that' day who said he only thinks of it as my dd's birthday and it's special to him just for that.

Not sure how he finds the inner strength to do that but grateful he can.

Hopefully you'll be able to keep your knees firmly clasped until 12/9.

had another stretch and sweep yesteday dont feel any different, think I may have had a show this morning just clear mucus no blood. being iduced on saturday so I feel I'm getting near the finishing line they offered to induce me on thursday but what with dd starting school this week I thought Id try and wait until saturday. Poor dd had all pre-school jabs this morning but she's ok waltzed into school today on her first day as if shed been there forever feeling much happier now

Back from hospital yesterday. Went in for the induction, but didn't need it, just had waters broken as things progressed. Did need lots of other horrid things tho - some kind of drip to try to turn the baby's head into the right position. My epidural didn't work (and they took ages trying to get it in anyway) so had to have that re-sited. Second epidural made me numb right up to my chest - I think they started to think I wouldn't be able to breathe. And ventouse. Think I must be really naive, but i was honestly shocked at how medicalised and lengthy the whole process was. Couldn't believe how many different docs, midwives etc came in and out of the delivery room, and how many tubes and straps and who knows what were attached to me. Anyway, all OK and Hannah Louise finally put in an appearance at one minute to midnight on the 10th. And she's gorgeous.

Congratulations - Glad all ended fine but once you get your waters broken you do end up in management mode... seems like you got a dip of syntocynon too... very unlucky that the epdural was such a struggle. Was she your first ?

yeah, she's my first (still looking for the manual) we're all settling in pretty good now thanks

My baby is due in August, I have a son of 14 mnths and am looking forward to having another. I cant wait

You must only be about 3wks pg????
