Hi everyone!

Well, I got my BFP on Friday morning and it is only just starting to sink in! According to my dates I am due 2nd Feb and I thought it would be nice to have a Feb babies thread, where we can all share our news/worries/excitement!

Cant wait to hear from you

Hi LalZee83 so weird water makes me feel more sick too! So I sent DH out last night to get me original lucozade and it really helped settle me.

Everyone always says to drink water but the way it makes me feel I'm only having what I absolutely need....

Let us know how you get on with your iphone app!

caramellokoalalover · 15/06/2010 16:58

Lalzee83, am intrigued about the app, do update us! It might be my chance to convince DH I need an iPhone

Feeling very bloated today too all those other bloated ladies out there. Had to let the belt out a notch to be comfortable, and hadn't even eaten an insane amount. I fugure though that I will eat as much as I can now as if/when the sickness kicks in I won't be eating much then!

Diamondback · 15/06/2010 17:03

Angels1, I'm so sorry! Didn't mean to cause panic! Chocolate is fine, it's just that my little fish doesn't like caffeine so I can't have a single cup of tea or a chocolate bar without giant headaches!

I miss tea Decaf just isn't the same!

sweetnitanitro · 15/06/2010 17:26

I had those sea band things the first time around, not sure if they helped or not but they are worth a go. Just don't get black ones or you'll look like an emo I had this aromatherapy stuff too but I'm buggered if I can remember where I bought it or what it was called.

sweetnitanitro · 15/06/2010 17:29

Just googled and found it! Aromatherapy stick

angels1 · 15/06/2010 17:42

no panic diamondback - it doesn't take much to worry me!! I just microwaved some of that rice in pouches for my tea and then paniked I might not be allowed to have it, as rice is a funny food re: food poisoning, so thought it might be on the avoid list, but after internet searching I discovered it should be fine - thank goodness for the internet to answer my questions!!

tadjennyp · 15/06/2010 17:42

Anyone else suffering from constipation? I am in agony and spending ages on the loo. I wouldn't mind but I had a hot curry last night!

angels1 · 15/06/2010 17:44

sweetnitanitro - I've been wearing the black sea bands for a few days - so is that why I've been getting odd looks?!!

sweetnitanitro · 15/06/2010 18:00

tadjenny I did the first time around, have already put those little yoghurt drink things on my shopping list in anticipation. Drink loads of water too even if it makes you want to pee every 5 seconds.

angels1 you should be OK as long as you're not wearing loads of black eyeliner and going on about how no-one understands you

angels1 · 15/06/2010 18:02

lol @ sweetnitanitro ...although with these pg emotions and my DH not helping, I'm getting dangerously close to moaning about how he doesn't understand me!

moocowmrs · 15/06/2010 18:49

Just joining in, if I may ! BFP today (well really was a faint line) but just confirmation really af late. This will be DC3, I have a ds 4.6 and dd 2.6. Very excited, but in shock still I think, have been ttc no 3 for what seems like forever now ! I am a end of feb baby, so even might share my birthday ! Anyway will read all your posts when the dcs are in bed just wanted to join the fun asap and share with someone as DH still at work although he knows !

Quick question, have those with other dc told them yet?

Oh due date according to mumsnet 22nd !

sweetnitanitro · 15/06/2010 19:04

Congrats moocowmrs!

I have told DD but she is only 20 mo so she has no idea what it means at least I don't think she does!

angels1 · 15/06/2010 19:12

moocowmrs you're sharing my due date I think -yipee ;)

gigglet · 15/06/2010 19:13

Looks like I'm pregnant!

DH is away for work, haven't told him yet! I just couldn't keep my excitement in so I thought I'd shout it from the rooftops here.

This will be our first. I'm (rather embarrassingly) not entirely sure on dates. I've plugged in a few and the average seems to be the 24th.

Its really weird, for the last couple of days before I even knew I've become obsessed with pregnancy and childbirth. It was actually what lead me to do a test. I've been telling myself how silly and clucky I am! Well now I have an excuse

So, DH gets back from work late on Friday, and we are going on holiday Saturday for a week. I'm going to try my best to wait until he gets back to tell him and we can spend the holiday obsessing over it together.

tabbycat76 · 15/06/2010 19:16

Chocolate?!? I will NEVER cope without chocolate, I mean I can down a box of chocs in the first half of Corrie!!! And combined with coffee at work (they don't have caffeine free so I may have to take in my own) will put me right over the limit! So why the limit for caffeine anyway?!?!?

tabbycat76 · 15/06/2010 19:21

By the way, loving the names you're calling your bumps - they have to have a name cos they can't be 'baby' all of 9 months, not special enough! ;)

And welcome all the newbies! Congratulations!

sweetnitanitro · 15/06/2010 19:22

Congrats to gigglet too! Don't worry, most people's due date changes when they have a dating scan anyway. At least you've got a vague idea

tabby High levels of caffeine have been linked to miscarriage but I think you'd have to have loads. It's one of those "best to be on the safe side" recommendations.

Here's a link that tells you what to eat and what to avoid-Food standards pregnancy advice

tabbycat76 · 15/06/2010 19:27

Thanks sweetnitanitro - will bear that in mind - only trouble is, when you feel absolutely exhausted even without a pregnancy because you get up for work when everyone else is still probably in their warm cosy beds, caffeine is a must to get you through the day! Hmm, only another 35 weeks to go! Haha

Has anyone seen their midwive yet??

sloathy · 15/06/2010 19:32

I am starting my 6th week today and definitely feel like the symptoms have stepped up a notch. No vomiting yet but nausea waves lasting longer. I had a meeting with my boss today and had to quietly gag behind my hand because someone in the kitchen next door was eating fish!

I also feel wiped out and totally incapable of doing anything when I get home apart from veg on the sofa. Must do some housework at some point...

Does anyone else have a weird pain in their upper back - kind of between the shoulder blades? I've had it for about a week and it seems to come on in the evenings - probably nothing to do with being pg but I associate everything with it these days!

tabbycat76 · 15/06/2010 19:42

Excellent link sweetnitantitro thanks for posting that.

I'll be 5 weeks tomorrow and like you sloathy I feel the symptoms rearing their ugly head. Just nausea at the moment thank goodness and even then it's infrequent during the day.

One thing I am suffering with tho is lack of sleep already! I just can't seem to get comfy for lower back pain so wake up constantly! I'm exhausted. Is anyone else experiencing sleeping problems??

moocowmrs · 15/06/2010 19:55

I can't decide to tell or not too tell at the moment, so it is great to be able to share and get excited on mumsnet ! I only joined after dd was born so this is a new one for me.

We are going to France next week with my mum and dad so going to be hard to keep it from them and DH works with his parents and we live close by so tricky to keep from them also, but on the other hand they will want to talk about it in front of DCs who will not be able to keep it a secret at all. DS who is 4.6 is a real chatterbox and would not just forget !

Grannyapple · 15/06/2010 20:26

Hi ladies-I'm sames as tabby dates wise, but feel totally fine, only a tiny bit tired, so long may it continue!

This might be TMI but is anyone experiencing a lot of discharge?! Was beginning to think I was imagining being pg (even bought another test!) but boobs have started to ache again..think I need to get me that book u were on about, tabby! also seeing mw same day as u now too..

Also father's day cards excellent idea-gonna get dh one too!

tabbycat76 · 15/06/2010 20:33

Are we living mirroring lives or what grannyapple??! I've noticed my boobs have become more tender over the past day or two too - my poor husband bless him hasn't had a look in since we fell pregnant! He doesn't quite understand how sore they are!!

Yes get that book, it's great!

nicb79 · 15/06/2010 20:34

Would recommend the travel sickness wrist bands, used them in my last pregnancy, but its a bit of a give away if you're trying not to tell anyone.

Am aching today. No nausea yet though. Am paying particular attention to peoples symptoms who are due near me. Tabbycat76 thanks for the 2.5mm tomorrow, sooo cute.
Sleep has a been a problem for 2 weeks, but think some of it is brain overload, the rest is probably hormones.

I've got the baby brain mush, it never really comes back properly after each one, so I've got no chance on my 3rd. Haven't told my other DC age 5 1/2 and 3, will wait till I tell others as they will overhear too many conversations.

Have told a couple of friends as I think its helping me get used to the idea, haven't told my family yet.

GinaFB · 15/06/2010 20:56

Hi all, had a panic this morning after what happened in Feb I had convinced
yself that we wouldn't get to 20 weeks as I was sure at 12 they would say bean didn't have a heart beat! As MW appt won't be until 10 wks I booked in for a private scan thus afternoon and saw the bean for the first time, all 4mm!!!

Lots of tears, of course I now realise how hormonal I was and that really was a BIG symptom that everything was ok! OH was very understanding!
