What a lot of activity since Friday! It's taken me ages to catch up! Thinking of Banana - big hugs!
I'm so glad to hear all your stories. It's so reassuring! I'm still not feeling very pregnant - no nausea, and my boobs, having had a bit of a spurt initially, have now settled down too. Sometimes I feel weepy, or have some funny pressure in my tummy, but then, if I wasn't looking out for it, I'd probably say that was normal? I lost over a stone for our wedding in May, but put a pile on during our honeymoon indulging in cocktails and huge meals and lying around doing nothing, expecting to lose it when I got home, but that's not going to happen now!? So I'm feeling a bit podgy around the middle, and find tight waistbands make me feel achy by the end of the evening.
But I'm still convinced that the embryo has stopped developing, having had such sickness last time, and swing between complete denial to woeful depression about the matter. To read your experiences convinces me that I'm not alone, and that this is probably perfectly normal. Thank you everyone! My booking appointment is next Tuesday, so perhaps the mw will reassure me even more then.
On my more upbeat moments I consider that my 2 cats may have their noses put out of joint by the arrival of a small howling human into their serene little lives. I expect they'll adapt though. I'll have to keep them away from the bedrooms or they'll think the lovely, soft, snug moses basket was designed especially for them!
I was actually planning on doing some gardening this afternoon, and will wear some gloves and wash my hands afterwards for fear of cat poo. As a farmer's daughter I'm fairly relaxed about the animals in my life, but I won't be feeding any pet lambs for a bit, as Honeywitch recommmends...
Rusty it's nice to have another 40+ mum on the team - congratulations!
I've told my mum and my brother and a best friend so far. If I have another mc I'd need their shoulders to cry on, and they're thrilled for us.
Right - I'm off to see what I can do with a trowel, a tray of Sweet Peas and a couple of Hydrangeas!
Bye for now!
PS I've got Mr Teapot a Fathers' Day card already - and a little present. He'll love it!
