Hi guys - thanks a lot for your comments re our twinny situation! Means a lot. Amazingly we're coming around to the idea. I must admit, I feel abit cheated that I'll only have potentially one pregnancy and a complete family as I'd have liked to have gone through all this again (but you never know, if we have two boys or two girls I may be convinced to try for another!) However, since I'll be 34 by the time these babies come, I'll be feeling a little old to try again esp with all the risks involved - sorry to all those older than me, it's juts how I feel. a ready made family in one go, can't be bad! I've been doing research on it and apparently, we've 50% chance of having a b/g, 25% of g/g and 25% of b/b. (We believe our twins to be fraternal ie two eggs and two sperm hence the stats).
grannyapple - my mum apparently carried twins with her first and lost one and carried the other to term, so that's our gene history. They're supposed to skip a generation so I guess in that respect, given my mum missed one, it's our generation now.It sounds like if your mum was a twin it would be the next generation carrying the gene?!? I may be wrong tho. Ha, another twinny on here, that'd be good!
I've still not heard anything from the mw to book in yet. I went to the GP last Monday so I would have thought I'd have heard by now, at least for a booking in appt. Oh well. Soon enough I guess!
Does anyone suffer with irritable bowel at all?? I've been told that IBS and pregnancy do not mix and I've been suffering with the most nasty cramps. I'm sure now it's IBS related but it's making me worry about work. I'm on a/l at the moment but when I go back in a weeks time I may be in the throws of m/s (just have nausea at the mo) or having nasty cramps still. What would people do?? Talk to their boss and explain or take time off??
Hope everyones well and have a good day. I'm off to a BBQ and the husbands gone off to watch footie at a friends. Let's hope ENgland win eh?!?!?
