Normal pregnant women are supposed to have constipation, me, I get diarrhoea. Lovely.
unbuffy when I was 5 months pregnant with James, we went to St. Lucia (we like our luxury beach holidays). The reason the obstetrician and haematologist are telling me I can't fly this time, is because of the pulmonary embolism (am I ever going to stop banging on about it) and the increased risk that I'll have another one .
Can't have a homebirth, can't go on holiday - seriously, I was amazed when they okayed eating chocolate .
This all said, I also think they're talking out of their arses and are being over cautious.
Fucking doctors, they're all a bunch of quacks. Case in point, my GP. After being sick for almost 2 weeks, I went to see him last Thursday. I said I had an infection and needed antibiotics, he said I was congested and just needed to take some nasal spray and steam. I went back today, still feeling sick (oh yes, my Easter weekend was fucked and I had to cancel meeting our Jewish and only friends yet again - 6th time I think) and he agrees, I have an infection and has prescribed me antibiotics.
I'm shocked, I really never saw that coming .
DH (Matthew) is also sick and has also been prescribed antibiotics and nasal spray.
I'm like a sodding 70+ year old, or more realisticly a heart failure patient (they can digest well up to 30 different medications a day). I'm now taking:
Fragmin 7,500mg bd (sorry, medical secretary's habit - that means twice a day);
metformin 850mg bd;
simple linctus tds (three times a day);
amoxicillin 500mg tds;
Otrivine nasal spray tds and last but not least;
Pregnacare 1 od (once a day).
So there you go, you've now learnt a bit of medical terminology .
emmielou81 no and no again, but thanks anyway for the kind wishes .
leewt I like your sharing. At least you have an ups list . I'm very much a pesimist. Oh, and nice choice of buggy. We brought the Mothercare Xcursion, a blatent rip-off of the iCandy (why has everything got an i before it nowdays?). I think our next pram/pushchair will probably be a Mothercare tandem or a Phil and Teds. And car seats, probably another Britax.
amyboo congratulations . I love your choice of name Matthew is my husband (I love saying that, never want to get divorced) and James is our son.
hoops how do I look at pictures of Benjamin???
How is everyone else doing???
