Ooh well i like both of your twos sets of names....my DS is also called James MRSR....best boys name in the world and still not very popular altho he is one of two in his class. Ella and James would sound fabulous lee...infact mine are Ellie and James.

i go from the ridiculous to the sublime on names but have finally reached the conclusion that DH is a no frills no nonsense man and as such doesn't want a poncy name....i have promised him to pare down my names to simple but gorgeous names and on the list are

girls: Niamh/Neve, Lily, Rose, Anna, Beth, Katy, Emma. {in order of pref}

Boys: George, William, David, George or George...

Off to Rochester today for a meal with friends as the children are with their dad and family still....infact DH and i have been in bed til now reading our books and snoozing which has been total luxury as we never are able to do this....mood slightly improved now.....only slightly mind and i reserve the right to slip right back into a strop at a moments notice thanks you very much.....

Another couple of weeks lee and you will feel AND look pregnant rather than just fat....i understand how you feel tho and yes walking is wonderful....especially in fitflops or MBTS....those destabilising shoes...they are just fab. great news about choosing the buggy. Mum treated me to a gorgeous black herbie mama and papas pram/buggy set the other week and it is great to see it in its box waiting for me and oh so stylish in black....i love it...

MrsR - stay off AIBU....its just not worth the heartburn IMO.....

Hi all, hope you are having a lovely Easter.

I'm lucky enough to have a bit of time off over the next couple of weeks as one of my jobs is term time only. Hopefully the rest will do me good, the sickness has really stepped up a gear this week, I feel crap from 10.30am until I go to bed. Wierd I know, but it's a relief to wake up in the morning and feel fine. Whoever named it morning sickness?
I have a scan date come through for 21st April. I was warned it may be delayed as there is a real baby boom around here. I will be just short of 14 weeks by then. I'm feeling very nervous. I am painfully aware that I'm approaching the time it all went wrong last time and just pray I make it til then and the baby is ok this time.

Unbuffy I know just what you mean about feeling like you should be past this stage. I feel like I have spent half of this last year feeling sick - going through it all for a full three months for nothing, and now this time around as well. But like you say, sickness is a pain, but it is reassuring too.

louisesh Lucky you - Derby! I live about 10 minutes down the road. Be warned, it is like a building site while they build the new bypass. Other than that it's ok! Especially if you like shopping.

mrsrigby has your doctor said why you can't fly? I'm going away in July at 27 weeks and my midwife just said to approach her 4 weeks before I go so she can certify it, she didn't see a problem with it at all.

Lee yes flitflops are supposed to be very good. Other than that, cover up! Which is exactly what I plan to do. My existing stretch marks are like a map of Britain so goodness knows what they will be like by 27 weeks! It's nice to have holidays to look forward too.

And finally... (apologies for the mammoth post) oooooh names!

boodle Neve is top of my list for girls, and also Grace or Holly - second name Isabella after my late Aunt.
Boys, haven't a clue yet, I really struggle here, not because I don't like anything, but everything I do like, I know of one and can't use it (friends/relatives children)
I have a very boy dominated family.

Hope everyone else is well and not eaten too many easter eggs! xx

lovely to see the babies list getting longer - congrats to all the new arrivals. Lovely names, hope all settling in well, and you're getting some rest!

meita SOOOOO jealous you are off to M, had my BEST hol ever there. Not even with DP!!! Went with a close friend 4 years ago as had just been made redundant... lovely place. Have a smashing time.

Hi to all those bumps, hope all feeling ok.

Unbuffy · 06/04/2010 18:58

Ooooh Congrats Amy that's fantastic - and HUGE! cs definately a good option there
Jumping up and down a little at arriving babies.

Re babynames dh seems to have come up with all the Js for boys

Jack
James
Joseph

Just hope we're not going to have twin boys

(Actually I'd love it. But one name might have to be something not on Himself's list...)

Freezingmyarseoff · 06/04/2010 19:52

Congratulations hoops and amyboo, so happy for you and you've both choosen really lovely names. I'm celebrating with a large glass of wine or two

Jollster and Meita would love to hear more about Mauritius (when you get back Meita). DH has to go for a business trip, and so we've decided to splash out abit and make it into a holiday for us both as we could do with a bit of relaxing chill out time. (I'm also on the other thread now Jollster)

Unbuffy I like all of those boys names

Good luck to Effilump and Domestic Goddess for your scans.

I'm feeling abit more upbeat this week after a lovely Easter weekend walking in Wales. Will lurk on here to keep up with everyone's news. thank you for all your kind messages of support last week.

MrsRigby · 06/04/2010 20:46

Normal pregnant women are supposed to have constipation, me, I get diarrhoea. Lovely.

unbuffy when I was 5 months pregnant with James, we went to St. Lucia (we like our luxury beach holidays). The reason the obstetrician and haematologist are telling me I can't fly this time, is because of the pulmonary embolism (am I ever going to stop banging on about it) and the increased risk that I'll have another one .

Can't have a homebirth, can't go on holiday - seriously, I was amazed when they okayed eating chocolate .

This all said, I also think they're talking out of their arses and are being over cautious.

Fucking doctors, they're all a bunch of quacks. Case in point, my GP. After being sick for almost 2 weeks, I went to see him last Thursday. I said I had an infection and needed antibiotics, he said I was congested and just needed to take some nasal spray and steam. I went back today, still feeling sick (oh yes, my Easter weekend was fucked and I had to cancel meeting our Jewish and only friends yet again - 6th time I think) and he agrees, I have an infection and has prescribed me antibiotics.

I'm shocked, I really never saw that coming .

DH (Matthew) is also sick and has also been prescribed antibiotics and nasal spray.

I'm like a sodding 70+ year old, or more realisticly a heart failure patient (they can digest well up to 30 different medications a day). I'm now taking:

Fragmin 7,500mg bd (sorry, medical secretary's habit - that means twice a day);
metformin 850mg bd;
simple linctus tds (three times a day);
amoxicillin 500mg tds;
Otrivine nasal spray tds and last but not least;
Pregnacare 1 od (once a day).

So there you go, you've now learnt a bit of medical terminology .

emmielou81 no and no again, but thanks anyway for the kind wishes .

leewt I like your sharing. At least you have an ups list . I'm very much a pesimist. Oh, and nice choice of buggy. We brought the Mothercare Xcursion, a blatent rip-off of the iCandy (why has everything got an i before it nowdays?). I think our next pram/pushchair will probably be a Mothercare tandem or a Phil and Teds. And car seats, probably another Britax.

amyboo congratulations . I love your choice of name Matthew is my husband (I love saying that, never want to get divorced) and James is our son.

hoops how do I look at pictures of Benjamin???

How is everyone else doing???

HoopsAndBaby · 06/04/2010 21:19
