Thank you again you lovely ladies.

I don't know that there are any answers for me. All my tests have been clear. I've even been lucky enough to have been tested for NK cells at Epsom and that's all negative (or positive!).

All the best AdT and Redhead and digging - apologies to anyone I've forgotten with scans this week.

boodle you really made me laugh with the LG comment.

fatlady thank you for your positivity.

SamB, where are you? slightly concerned at no news of your 20 week scan...

Redheadgal good luck for this evening. Hope you're not suffering too much with nerves today, it's a horrible wait

jollster lovely to see you! Hope this month is your month and you're back here really really soon

MsJL how frustrating for you. I also have a friend who had 4 MCs before the first of her 3 children, there is definitly still hope, sounds like you've had really rotten luck so far if no causes found. All the very best for tomorrow, hope it goes as smoothly as it can, horrible to have to go through.

Goodluckbear when's your 12 wk scan, I know it's this week... still crossing fingers tightly for you!

Good luck for Friday diggingforvictory, and welcome.

Boodle and gilda thanks for the house points and top of the class -- I always was a geek, makes me feel very proud

toomuch I haven't seen a midwife yet, or even tried to book in. They don't do much early on except tell you lots of things you already know. I knew I was having nuchal scan privately though, so can afford to wait till I know whether that's ok. Hope they get going quickly to get that arranged for you.

I'm sure I've missed someone......... where's Brian when I need him....??
Oh yes, Malteser, where are you? Still thinking of you and hope you're ok?

Waves to everyone

Scan was wonderful. huge baby compared to last time, lots of movement, heard heartbeat as well as seeing it... 178bpm, which is apparently good. measuring 10+4 according to scan machine, 10+3 according to computer... either way, a day or two bigger than last time which is good... have amended my dates and plumped for the middle of the three days I now have! Bloods taken and appointment made for full nuchal scan, in 2 weeks, so will be able to get full results there and then.

right -- off back to work. Nice and relaxed for a while, won't start panicking till next scan imminent...

thefatladyscreams · 09/06/2010 15:46

Alba - that's great news!

Redheadgal - good luck for tonight. For my scans, I found myself sitting in the waiting room as a nervous wreck thinking of all you girls - lots of positive vibes your way!

Dashing in as behind with work. At this rate will need to set aside a whole week to catch up properly - this thread is so busy.

Will post properly in the next few days

MsJL - I guess the tests are a positive thing - must be frustrating not to get any answers but good there are no problems they can identify.

malteser1981 · 09/06/2010 17:20

MsJL - thinking of you.

Alba - fabulous news, and I'm sure you know the stats, but as a positive reminder, the presence of a fetal heartbeat at 10 weeks gestation gives you very fabulous 99.7% chance of continuing with a healthy pregnancy. So chuffed for you!

Redheadgal, good luck too.

I'm sorry I've been AWOL, the stress of working on a busy delivery suite whilst battling the extreme fatigue on nightshift has meant that I've not been much fun or good company.

I am soooooo pleased to report that I had my combined screening and NT scan on monday, and not only do I have a very healthy 12+4 baby break dancing inside me, the results came in yesterday at a very reassuring risk of 1:50000.

I am officially pregnant and have told anyone who passes (and the women on the checkout at Tesco today!) the good news, break out the bunting and balloons because I am having a baby on the 18th December!!!

Hugs all round, and good luck vibes to all those being scanned soon!

thefatladyscreams · 09/06/2010 17:47

Malteser - yipeee that's excellent results. Still chortling at the thought of you in Tescos!

Goodluckbear · 09/06/2010 18:41

Malteser - great news!! We have the same due date now....I had my nuchal whatsit scan today and all was good, I was so relieved. By my LMP I am 13 weeks today, but the sonographer puts me at 12+4 weeks - I assume this is normal as she said it all looked good. The baby wouldn't move around, despite me jumping up and down and stuff, he/she must have been a bit sleepy or something as it wouldn't get into a decent position. I didn't mind, he waved his little hands around a bit and that was all the reassurance I needed!!

Phew!!

Glad to hear your scan news too Alba, and good luck to everyone else coming up for scans.

And welcome to Digging!!

Sorry not to namecheck properly, bit all over the place tonight.

xxxx

Gi1da · 09/06/2010 19:02

Oh woe! Just lost my post and too exhausted to re-type it, sorry.

Luckybear, Malteser and Alba outside I'm wilting, but on the inside I'm doing manic victory jigs for you gals! Woohoo! You're all having babies!!!

SamanthaB123 · 09/06/2010 19:28

Evening

Sorry for the delay in posting, nothing to worry about, just been too tired and busy! Scan on Monday was lovely, sonographer was really good again and explained everything in detail. We are having a baby girl and are delighted! Four women in one house, poor DH, a lifetime of bras and pants and never being able to use the bathroom !

They did find a cyst on my right ovary which either wasn't there or wasn't picked up at the 12 week scan. It's quite big and I am going back for a monitoring scan in four weeks. Trying not to worry and just to think of it as another opportunity to see my baby girl. She was so cool on the scan, really cute and doing loads of stuff - she was everso busy in there. I couldn't feel a thing! I've had a couple of decent kicks today though.

Congratulations to those with good scans today and terribly sorry for MsJL - fingers crossed for next time. Hope all well, SB

AlbaDeTamble · 09/06/2010 19:47

Great to hear from you Malteser especially with such fabulous news... have added you to the list, assuming you have no objections now. Thanks for those stats, didn't know it was quite so good, you've made my evening. And your 1 in 50000 -- wow! super healthy baby. Don't know how you're doing nightshifts... 9-5 office with the occasional night waking from DS is as much as I can manage and I'm still wiped out.

Fab news for you too Goodluckbear - noted date change and amended

Hello TFLS, good to see you!

still crossing fingers for you redheadgal, hoping you're getting good news this evening

SamB, so lovely to get to know what you're having, feels so much more real when you can say she rather than it... are your girls thrilled?

Ooooh what a day of lovely news. Well done GLB, Alba and malteser, how great for you all!

Hoping all's good with you too redhead.

Not worried about my lack of booking appointment as such, it's just the waiting for things to move along. She can't see me next week either now, so I'll (hopefully) be nearly 12 weeks before it gets done. To be honest it's really just the next scan I'm waiting for, the nerves are killing me!

Enjoy the rest of the evening ladies.

clareanna · 09/06/2010 20:56

Fab news Alba GLB sam and Malteser another BFP on the MC thread too - woo hoo!

Had a bonkers hormonal day yesterday - kept crying at the drop of a hat. Drove past the hospital on the way to work - burst into tears. I drive that way EVERY DAY.
Ended up bursting into tears in a bar with some friends last night who noticed my non-alcoholic lager and raised their eyebrows in a knowing way... gah - the embarassment.

Still, new day today, have got nipples that would poke you in the eye if you got too close and am not feeling sick yet so all's good again.
Am now 5 weeks (IS THAT ALL?!?) so will add myself to the list

Morning all. Excellent news Alba, GLB and Malteser. Malteser, that's a brilliant ratio.

Redhead, still thinking of you. Hope to hear ggood news soon.

29 hours to go. I'm turning into a nervous wreck. If only my hospital had a walk in EPU! (I'd be there every day...)

Redheadgal · 10/06/2010 10:39

Hi guys! We're feeling so relieved. Saw our little bean last night with a lovely healthy heart beat. Gave us a wave .

Sonographer reckoned 9+3 which puts the EDD at 9/11/11. Slightly disappointed by this - was loving the palindrome due date of 11/1/11 .

ToomuchT - my midwife is snowed under apparently - my booking in appointment isn't for another two weeks - when I'll be pushing 12 weeks. There must be a hell of a lot of ladies upduffed in my area recently! Was beginning to panic about arranging my scan and obstetrician appointment (need to be monitored closely because I have epilepsy). But at the private scan yesterday, the nurse told me she could arrange the NHS scan for me directly. Have you spoken to the ultrasound dept at your local hospital, they may be able to make a booking without the mw referral.

Congrats to Alba, GLB and Malteaser and to SamB - a little girl! How very exciting.

Clareanna don't worry about those hormones - you're pregnant! Time for a bit of indulgence me thinks. Especially envious of you going to bars - my bedtime is about 8pm these days.

Ok I'm going to attempt the list.

Hello Ladies,

Sorry I haven't been on in the last week, I was really busy in work and then away for a few days.

Gilda I've added myself to the list! (At last!).. so i'm being positive pauline today instead of negative nelly!

Redheadgal great news for you! Congrats! Really pleased to hear the good news.

Clareanna I am an emotional mess too although feel in control today but that's new for me! Last week I cried when shopping with my sister as I didn't think I deserved my eyebrows threaded! Honestly and then i spent the rest of the day admiring hers! Totally daft and crazy!

Malteser and GoodLuckBear - congrats! Both of you have had great news.. really pleased for you both!

Need to get back to work but will catch up on the thread properly later on.. wishing u all a lovely afternoon! I'm ravenous here need lunch badly

Redhead, that's great news. Love the worry about the non-symmetrical date! When I was having my son, they started the casearean at 11pm on 10/10. I asked them to hurry up so he'd be born on 10/10 not 11/10! They made it by 15 minutes.

Evenin all

Feeling very sorry for the swollen ones mieta and Boodle in this heat - dunno what it's like wherever you are, but it's muggy as all Hell here and not even that sunny with it! I suggest sitting wiz ze feet raised and doing as leetle as possible... TFLS too, how are you, are you wishing to join the Ankle Club also?

Alba, really pleased for you, fandabidozie! And while we're on the subject, also Teaser and GLB! I also have very lazy bean who would not move to be scanned, they make you do some vrey silly things, non? Ah, 'tis going to be busy round here come Christmas toime! Redhead very chuffed for you - are you a bit less nervous now? And SamB too, another girly! so not too much shopping required...? Is that all the good news scans? Have I missed anyone??

Digging calm, calm, rest, relax... all pointless words I know, but do try. We're all rooting (geddit) for you tomorrow.

Happy Hello! Hope you had a nice big lunch, and well done on finally jumping onto the list. Hoorah, it's official!

Clareanna Hormones kick in, Brian checks out. I keep crying at rabbits (FIL's favourite) and dd being ubercute at the moment. Don't worry, only another few months/years to go before it all settles down again. Apparently.

Toomuch midwives. Huh, don't talk to me about midwives. There are 2 covering our whole area. And they are not connected to the hopsital. grrr. Are you having to invigorate exams atm? (Am presuming you are a teacher...)

Gilda How's it going? Hope you're a bit less exhausted tonight, this preggers thing is really tiring! Am only just getting a bit of energy back - managed to do a proper dog walk and some gardening yesterday and got a haircut today - I can see again hoorah!

Hope I have not forgotten anyone although I am sure I have. Waves to Culina, Marrow and the whooshy ladies, also everyone else. Am off to make pasties for supper - dh is dribbling... x

Evening all!

Redders wonderful news hoorah! Dead chuffed for you

SamB fantastic, a(nother) little girl, how fabulous. How pink is your house??

Diggin at your date tampering tactics! Good for you!

Happy am DELIGHTED you're on the list. Positive is the way to go. To infinity and beyond!!

Malty lol at you declaring you diffness to all! Hoorah I say! I bet everyone gave you a huge sunbeam smile when you told them. I plan on telling the world next week!

Clarea I cried at Lambwatch. And at that Halycion River thing when a Mrs kingfisher got dumped for a new bird and had to fight to the death to keep her territory. And at that JLP advert with the woman ageing along to the Billy Joel soundtrack. And at Waterloo Road last night when the baby was born. And and and .... oh it's just tragic.

Toomt buggery about the booking in. Prob won't delay your scan but I know it seems to take F O R E V E R to come around [peeved]

Alba still delighted for you on the happy scan. HIGH FIVE!

Jolls and when will we be poa-sticking? I'm imagining it all soap-drama-esque - shot cuts to Jolls (poker face for dramatic effect - maybe a raised eyebrow or pensive expression), shot cuts to clear blue screen... a pause... BINGO!!! Music kicks in... DUFF DUFF DUFF-DUFF-UP-THE-DUFF.

fjkkle jdeis asoe...

Big wave to Meita, TFLS, and Boodle at the top of the list, hope the cooler weather this week has been kinder to you ladies.

And another big wave to Cully, Marrow, Dorcas, Lotta and Ba8y at the bottom, I know it all seems to take ages in the early weeks, but time will pass! Hang in there!!

And a big wave to anyone in the middle I've missed out. Louisesh do you have a leaving date for work now? Gawd I am so looking forward to that!!

Not forgetting you, Buffyduff, hope all's good in your world.

LucyT hope you had a good reassuring scan today. Hugs.

And

MsJL have been thinking of you today. xx

Yo Buffy X-post as it took me years to type all that, and to spell check. Came very close to weeing myself laughing at a pedants grammar thread on here last night while I wilted away on the sofa.

I'm so ready for the blooming to start. I toyed with a little paranoia this week as I didn't feel sick anymore. Then DH kindly pointed out that I'm not exactly symptomless since I look transparent and make a five-toed-sloth look athletic.

Next Tuesday's scan cannot come round soon enough!

Glad you got your barnet done (not that I'm saying you needed it), but it always feels grand to have a fresh chop to flick about.

ooo 'Stenders is on!

Have a lovely evening Buff. Save me a pasty?
x

Gi1da · 10/06/2010 19:32

or should that be pedants' grammar thread?

toomuchteaching · 10/06/2010 19:32

Good effort on the name-checking ladies... I'm too tired I'm afraid (having had OFSTED for the past two days!!) but just had to reply to Unbuffy, I just love the idea of invigorating exams... it sounds fun! But no, we don't have to do invigilating anymore thankfully, it's so boring. And with exams I've got lots of classes missing, although I did nearly fall asleep in my office today, which is considerably better than the staffroom I guess!

Great news redhead, how nice our dates are so close... I look forward to it all going well for us both over the next few months (fingers crossed!)

Unbuffy · 10/06/2010 19:44

There was a loooong (munfs and munfs) debate in Private Eye about what to call their Pendants' Corner and where the apostrophe should go... in the end they've settled for 'Pedantry' instead (sorry, am sad type person).

DAMN, Gilda, was doing so well on the namechecking and then you came and did better. . Bet you type quicker 'n me too.

Bah humbug.

Unbuffy · 10/06/2010 19:46

ps toomuch dh used to teach and have to invigorate. He used to count the bricks in the wall and do all kinds of mathmatical stuff to make it more interesting. And play Teacher Chicken - head towards each other down an aisle and see who changes lane first...
