Happy it all sounds like it's going really well for you! I hope you can keep busy enough over the weekend that it goes quickly and Tuesday will come around to give you great news x

Gi1da · 28/05/2010 12:12

Oooh Boodle that's exactly where I'm going! Really great to hear that you had a good experience there. Thanks

Honestly, I AM working.... just finding it hard to concentrate today!

AlbaDeTamble · 28/05/2010 12:59

gi1da fingers crossed for you this afternoon, know exactly how you're feeling now and it isn't fun. I was exhausted afterwards and just wanted to cry, even though all good... Mad eh?
Good luck to Meita for this afternoon too
and to Happy for Tuesday... So much catching up on this thread today!
I felt so happy this morning, starting to let myself believe all may be well this time (then just spent 10 mins in the loos at work retching... Yuck. But all good - though anyone worrying about symptoms, this never happened with DS...)
Waves to all x

HappyGirl1 · 28/05/2010 14:24

G1lda best of luck today! hope it goes great

ALba you poor thing hope you feel okay this afternoon but good to have a sign though too at the same time but hope you feel well soon.

Gi1da · 28/05/2010 16:00

OMG!!!! Bean was there and disco dancing!

Am SOOO relieved. Strong heartbeat, all perfect size for dates and wriggling about.

How utterly amazing!

I'm quite overcome.

AlbaDeTamble · 28/05/2010 16:23

Excellent news

MsJL · 28/05/2010 16:28

Gi1da - hooray for the dancing bean.

Alba - feeling very happy for you.

Sparkly - have an amazing wedding tomorrow. I'm sure you won't be looking at emails right now but my thoughts are with you for a fabulous day. I got married 7 weeks ago and loved every minute of it.

Happy Good luck for Tuesday.

I am trying not to think about what Tuesday may bring for us although I'm feeling a bit more chilled out today.

Have a good long weekend all of you. x

toomuchteaching · 28/05/2010 19:01

Hello all, thank you for the well wishes. I think I'm feeling more confident, not because of the doctor though, who just said "wait and see, oooh it's hard isn't it!"... erm thanks for that. So I left in tears! But I guess he's right, so far no bleeding, so it's so far so good for me too.

Am so pleased I booked the private scan for Tuesday though, counting down to 3.00. Should probably consider driving across the country since here it's £120!! My nerves are going to be in shreds by then though.

So happy for Gi1da and Alba, lets hope the good news is catching. And Sparkly have the most amazing day, I loved getting married so much... enjoy yourself.

Tuesday is going to be a big old day on here... fingers crossed all round.

HappyGirl1 · 28/05/2010 20:13

Hiya, signing off for a week as we're on our hols but just wanted to say good luck for everyone with forthcoming scans and brilliant news for those of you that have just had them.

Have a fantastic day tomorrow sparkly looks like the weather is going to be beautiful.

Gi1da you're the first person I've come across who has gone off carrots - I couldn't eat them either! They tasted of metal and I thought they had gone off until I bought some from somewhere else and they tasted the same!! I'm so pleased your scan went well xx

Have a great bank holiday everyone, I will attempt the mammoth catchup when I get back.

Massive hugs and love to all xx

barrenbrook · 29/05/2010 16:08

Happy Hollibobs Saralou have a great time

Happy, Toomuch, MsJL hope you're all having as relaxed weekends as you can. Thinking of you.

Big wave to everyone. Super exhausted here, have stuck to the sofa for two days now, wish I'd had the foresight to get some DVDs from the library, can't believe I'm watching Catwoman, it's pants!

Gi1da · 30/05/2010 13:32

Ps WestYorks saving a place for you here for when you're ready x

AlbaDeTamble · 30/05/2010 15:47

Hi Gi1da, thought this thread was quiet because everyone was off doing exciting things and having lovely weekends. I've been in bed most of it, feeling utterly dreadful. Sick and tired... and the sickness gets worse through the day, not better. Feel like I shouldn't really complain, and have read it's supposed to peak at 9 weeks (was never this ill with DS, or with MMC), so crossing my fingers it'll get better again soon... sadly I can't even look at a screen for too long before I'm retching again. This pregnancy has to work, I can't go through another 1st trimester ever again... have been pregnant almost continuously since November (11 weeks to MMC, then a few weeks off, then chem preg, then fell with this one the following month) and it's starting to get me down, much as I really really want to get to the baby at the end of it all.

Anyway -- what I meant to say before that little rant, is comiserations on the tiredness and hope all of us in horrid scary early stages bloom and enjoy this once we reach our second trimesters...

Hope everyone with Tuesday scans not having their long weekends blighted with worry, will be crossing fingers tightly for good news from all.

LucyT66 · 30/05/2010 17:41

Excellent news Gi1da and others who have had great scan results recently.

Sparkly - hope you had a great wedding.

Sorry, I've not been on much. Like Alba, I've also been in bed feeling godawful. The nausea is hell - I can't even put on my moisturiser cause the smell of it makes me gag. Oh please god make it go away soon. I feel so terrible for moaning because I was so desperate to get pregnant after the mc but this is much harder than i ever imagined. I think i'm actually suffering from a big of antenatal depression, if such a thing exists.

I'm also thinking, I can't go through a 1st trimester ever again. How the hell did my gran manage to have nine!

Feeling pathetic and sorry for moans and whines.

Fingers crossed for everyone with Tuesday scans xxx

sparklyrainbow · 30/05/2010 18:32

Hi all

will just put my head round the door quickly and say THANK YOU for all the lovely messages, we had a great day despite the rain, though very tiring...

Glad your scan went well Gilda it's so exciting! We saw our little bean this afternoon, was so much more nervous about that than the wedding, but it is spot on for dates and did a little wriggle for us Kind of put the cherry on top of yesterday really!

Hope those of you who feel rubbish start to feel better soon and good luck for Tuesday Happy and Toomuch. And enjoy half term any fellow teachers! x

MsJL · 30/05/2010 18:47

Am glad you had a fantastic day Sparkly and great news today. Wonderful.

So after no bleeding for the first 6 weeks, I bled yesterday. I know many people have good experiences despite bleeding but it was the one thing I was holding on to as apositve sign. I think I posted on this thread too soon ladies. Am already feeling sorry for dildo-cam lady on Tuesday morning.

Am wishing the rest of you the best.

Alba and Lucy hope you start feeling brighter soon.

x

toomuchteaching · 30/05/2010 19:18

Can I add that I too have been lying on the sofa feeling dreadful all weekend. It also is not helped by the fact that DH seems to honestly think I am imagining it. The only thing that makes me feel better is eating, but then 2 minutes into doing that I feel worse again. I'm leaving it so long I start feeling all lightheaded too. Grr... and there I was on Thursday sobbing about not feeling sick. I am an idiot.

Can I have one more rant... the time to Tuesday 3pm could not be going any more slowly. And nothing is taking my mind off it.

So pleased for you sparkly, on both counts (esp the wriggly bean). Alba, Lucy and Gi1da hope you feel better soon, thanks so much for the well wishes. And MsJL will keep my fingers crossed for you, I really hope all is ok.

Enjoy the bank holiday everyone, particularly those not lying around feeling dreadful!

HappyGirl1 · 30/05/2010 20:52

MsJL u poor poor thing.. Really hope things r still okay for u so much u have been through a lot already. Best of luck on Tue.

Sparkly great ur wedding was fab and great u saw ur bean wiggle thats fantastic.. Def the cherry on top.

Alba, Gilda, Lucy hope u all feel better soon. Ive been lazy all weekend but feeling fine so cant complain but then worry cos i feel fine. U cant win i guess. Just so tired again now after doing vlittle all day. Weekend going vslowly. Mind racing at a million times a minute. Going to go into town 2moro for a few house things to hopefully stay busy. Just wishing the bean well all day every day, just so hope its okay.

Enjoy rest of weekend everyone

Gi1da · 31/05/2010 13:23

Gi1da · 31/05/2010 13:34

Zayja congrats on passing the 12 week mark! Is there a standard ceremony for this? Or do we just give a rousing WOOT WOOT and hang out the bunting?

zayja · 31/05/2010 16:51

Thanks gi1da, happy to have passed that mark - but to be honest, still a bit worried. My last scan was at 10+2w and now will have to wait until approx. 18w (although have an appt. at 14w where they'll use doppler for hb). Just really wish I could have a scan about now!

Congrats on all the positive scans! It's nice to see everyone progressing along so well. Those with a touch of spotting, hang in there! It is totally normal to have pink or brown and "no big deal" so I was told when it happened to me. Just don't wanna see the bright red.

Well enjoying a day off today but really should get some work done. I'm a teacher and have lots of work to grade before the end of the school year
