UNBUFFY take care X

Will check in later X

LucyT66 · 19/05/2010 14:48

So sorry to hear your sad news unbuffy. Take care you and DH.

Great scan news louisesh, TFLS and BLP. Hope I haven't missed anyone.

Fingers crossed for those of us just inching towards/past last mc date. For me, it's tmrw. Feel so different this time - still feeling as sick as a dog, still weepy, still moaning to my poor DP.

Love to all xxx

toomuchteaching · 19/05/2010 19:34

Hello all, I have a couple of days off because school is so crazy and suddenly I'm two pages back.

So sorry unbuffy, hope you and DH are doing ok.

So nice to hear all the good news about scans, really pleased for you bestlaidplans, TFLS and louisesh.

Now I just wish I could get to a scan point myself. The only one I've had was to confirm my mc at 10+4, so I'm kind of scared... because on the one hand what will happen will happen, so maybe I should just wait, but on the other I'm desperate to know. So I'm 6+4, what do you think about private scans? Would love some opinions either way.

Have a lovely evening ladies, xx

Redheadgal · 20/05/2010 09:35

TMT - I'm going for a private scan next Wednesday when I'll be about 7+2. Having had a mmc last time, I need to know this pregnancy is progressing. It's pricey (£140 - ouch!) so it'll be just the one before the 12 week dating scan, but I think it's worth it. I can't wait another 6 weeks to find out there's nothing there. My nearest EPU doesn't give reassurance scans until after the 3rd mc, so private is the only way to go. It's at the same place though - they run an evening clinic.

Hope that helps...

Sarahlou8 · 20/05/2010 17:33

Hi all

LucyT Thinking of you today. I've just passed both my due date and my mc time, which coincided - and I really feel much better now, like there's nothing to link this pregnancy to the last one now.

Tfls, bestlaidplans and Louisesh brilliant news that your scans all went well, 2 weeks and 5 days till mine (not that I'm counting !!)

Our house move is looking imminent, we should have a date fairly soon. I've had a tentative look at prams and cots etc but need to move before we take the plunge, we have no space to store anything here!

big hug to unbuffy hope you feel a bit better today xx

Goodluckbear · 20/05/2010 17:45

Oooo, Sarahlou, are you moving too? We are trying to buy a house at the moment. I'm trying not to get too stressed about it right now - we have spent so much on surveys/searches/etc. and now it has come up as high flood risk. I wish we weren't only just finding this out now, we seemed so close to getting an exchange date and now I'm not sure about anything!!

At least it means I can worry about something different for a change

barrenbrook · 20/05/2010 17:54

Unbuffy ((((hugs)))) so sorry to hear your news, thinking of you and your family. Fingers tightly crossed for tomorrow.

louisesh · 20/05/2010 18:48

Hi all , again thanks for your lovely wishes.

Toomuchteaching i too had a private scan this time was £90 i ended up having it at 17 weeks as my epu were scanning me every 2 weeks as i had luteal support from 9-14 weeks.I think it was well worth the money for the reassurance and would have no qualms of doing it again.

Good luck with your move sarahlou, hopefully the wait will go quickly if you re busy moving house.

Lucyt all sounds very hopeful this time....know its HARD waiting to pass those previous stages.

I m fine, tired due to work.....nearly the weekend yeh!!!!

Hi everyone, hope all are well X

Popping in very briefly (back later) but just wanted to say good luck to Unbuffy for today. So sorry to hear about your FIL. Hope you get a ray of happiness today (will have my fingers and toes crossed for you).

Great news re the scans Louisesh and BLP!!!

Catch up properly later.

Effilump · 21/05/2010 10:23

Good morning everyone, I hope everyone is well, and not too stressed on this fine sunny day.
Sorry about your FIL unbuffy, wishing you the best of luck for your scan.
I have my 20wk scan next wednesday, so its time for me to start panicking again, I know the baby is ok, because I can feel him/her moving, but after my awful experience with the sonographer at my 12wk scan, and then my high risk test results, im worried something else is going to show up, I just want the rest of the pregnancy to go as smoothly as possible, so if I can get past the scan, with no further bombshells, i'll be happy!

HappyGirl1 · 21/05/2010 10:51

Unbuffy best of luck for today - you really deserve some good news today after your very very tough week

Gilda - well done on being in unchartered territory that's fantastic news and a great achievement!

No real news here, failed my driving test this week but in the greater scheme of things all I care about is the little bean, i'll try again though. Getting extraordinarily exhausted from midday every day and feeling nauseous a lot of the day but I just don't mind, to get some symptoms is some way relieving.

My belly has got so big it's incredible, again a great little sign but because it took such a huge spurt in the last week, every night i'm like DH did it get bigger today and obviously it can't get bigger EVERY day but I'm just super paranoid all the time!

Still it's a gorgeous day here in the North East so thinking positively lots of positivity.

toomuchteaching · 21/05/2010 15:39

Just calling in to check on unbuffy - hope it's gone well today, been keeping my fingers crossed.

Thanks for the advice about private scans, i'm scared to have one and scared not to, totally useless I know!!

Enjoy the sunshine...

Unbuffy · 21/05/2010 19:45

Hi all

jumping on Gilda's list as far too tired and very grateful it's already there to copy/paste. Updating stats as per scan today , am further along than thought and all is well . Am smiling for the first time in about a fortnight! All dh's family very happy, mil and sil sat for dd today and had lots of fun (??) while we did the more-than-twice-as-long-as-usual trip to the hostipal (2 1/2 hours each way ). Bean is very lazy laid back and would not turn over for its nuchal measurements even though I was sent to run up and down stairs to 'encourage' it. Everyone was so nice, such a difference from when I was scanned and it was a mmc, I'm so relieved I can't stop wittering. So apologies for the mememe post!!

Thank you so much for all your good wishes and support, has been wonderful, and appologies for not posting back much. Oh my what a week.

On the subject of early scans tmt I had one at my epu after a bleed at 8 weeks, but had talked to the mw about getting one anyway privately - not available in my area. But the nhs can offer reassurance scans sometimes depending on where, when etc. I would advise against getting one too early though as they can't seee much and you can't see a heartbeat before ?7ish weeks? (someone will know when) Not much help I'm afraid...

GLB my house is apparently in high risk flood area too - small stream running 15 feet from door and 10 foot down - so goodness knows what the criteria are!

Waves to Gilda - my tummy also vast. Have to buy new outfit for funeral next Friday! Nozink fits any more. bah, humbug. At least I don't feel i need to hide it any more and can proudly display to the world! Huzzah!

Bestest to all, and hope all are well xx

PS - Happy pants about the driving test. Just keep at it . At least you've got the written bit out of the way. I've been driving for 10 years now (late starter) but I'd never be able to pass that again without serious revision!

Hope everyone is enjoying this beautiful sunshine! God I'd bloody love a huge fat jug of pims. Elderflower cordial is sooooo not cutting it!

Effilump - good luck on the scan next week, am sure it will all be brilliant then you can have a worry free next few months.

I am 9 weeks today , and still waiting to get a booking in appt, I'm going on holiday (Cornwall) when I'm 13 weeks so they better get that scan booked in early!

HappyGirl1 · 22/05/2010 15:35

well done Gilda on being 9 weeks thats fab!

Lovely day here, unfortunately DH and I had a silly argument, im still annoyed but feel bad for bean. We had been so looking forward to wkend and now wasted the day. In fairness he was just telling me to rest as got a cold and sore throat but i, crazy woman that i am, freaked completely at being told to rest. I know he is right tho. Im just all over the place today. Sorry ladies for the down in dumps msg, hope ye r all having much nicer day!

LeeWT · 23/05/2010 08:06

Hi all, oldie here, nice to see all the newbies!!

So sorry barrenb, hope you are finding some peace and getting back on your feet..

Zayja did I know you were pregnant?! I probably did but my stupid pregnant brain forgot so I get the pleasure of finding out and congratulating you again!!

Tfls and louiseh, great news on scans!!!

Meita so glad u got away u deserved it so much can't believe you are nearly 3rd trimester!!

Have been MIA from mumsnet again, the days just absorb into each other lately. But also it has to be said Ive developed a bit of a negative outlook and just cannotimagine the big scan going well and i keep researching different foetal abnormalities and trying to figure out how we'd cope. Believe me outwardly I'm a very positive person but after this past year I've just lost a bit of that optimism.. Bet you're glad I haven't been on in a while!! That said my little one is kicking about to beat the band and that makes me smile every day! Our dd is so so excited, she just turned 3 and wants to give her cot, her bottles and her teddies to the baby :-)

so I will sign off here and go enjoy the 24 degree sunshine beating out our back garden and will check in tomorrow after big scary scan!! X

OP posts:
Sarahlou8 · 23/05/2010 10:11

Good morning, it's lovely and sunny here too!

Nice to see you Lee and good luck for your scan, is it still tomorrow? I'm sure you'll be fine - I haven't come across anyone yet who doesn't worry about it to some extent, and I know I'll be exactly the same, just focus on the good feelings that your baby is moving and your little girl is excited. I'll be thinking of you tomorrow.xx

I've had a horrendous cough all week, no cold, just a cough thats bad enough in the day and awwwful at night. I've had to decamp to the settee just so DH can get some sleep and guess what I can take for it? Yep, that's right, zilch! except throat lozenges which is brill news considering my throat is fine.

Goodluckbear and Unbuffy we have a stream running through the new garden and yet our searches brought up no flood risk at all! It makes me a bit nervous but the house is lovely and the current vendors have been there for years and never had a problem.

We have a date now, 18th June yay!! Better go and start the major clear out of the loft....

Effilump · 23/05/2010 16:24

Its lovely here too.
leeWT I am exactly the same about my 20wk scan on wednesday. Wishing you lots of luck for tomorrow.
sarahlou8 I've had a cold all week but no cough, havnt been able to breathe at night, so not getting much sleep, so you have my sympathies!
Good news on your scan unbuffy
Hope everyone else is well and enjoying the lovely weather while we have it.

louisesh · 23/05/2010 20:30

Good luck lee will check in tomorrow X
