Hi everyone - just got back from holiday and checking in.

Barrenb - so, so sorry my dear. I can't believe you're going through this again - wish I knew what to say, but sending you a huge hug.

Welcome to everyone new - great to have you all on board. Never worry about being a worry wort - some of us are champions!

Meita - glad you're back and had a good holiday. Hope the tummy troubles have cleared up - I seem to alternate between two extremes IFKYIM and never find that happy medium!

Got my 20 week scan tomorrow and really petrified (what did I say about being a worry wort!). Had a family member who had a termination at this stage after discovering the baby had severe problems. Roll on tomorrow afternoon (scan is midday).

Also have my inlaws staying (been here 3 weeks already, been on holiday with us and another 3 weeks of their visit to go) - so probably not helping me feel chilled!

Have missed you guys!

Sarahlou8 · 17/05/2010 17:47

Hi TFLS hope you've had a great holiday.

Good luck for tomorrow, will be thinking of you. I have mine on June 8th and yes, very nervous here too.

I'm still feeling only very intermittant movements, and can go a couple of days without feeling anything at all. Is this normal? Felt the last two continually from 15 weeks onwards. I'm beginning to suspect my placenta is on the front, I know this can cushion it for a while. 17+3 today.

Much quieter round our house today, everyone has gone out and left me...

louisesh · 17/05/2010 19:59

Hi to all NEWBIES welcome X

Hi TFLS nice to "see" you!!!! As always we re doing things together!!!! I too have my scan tomorrow at 12.10...Good luck..X

zayja · 17/05/2010 21:19

Hi Ladies,
Been checking in w/o posting for a while. Just seems there's so much to catch up on, and when I've done that, I don't have time to write.

Well barrenbrook my heart is broken for you I hope you do get all the support you need, hang in there. It's not right that it happened again, at least now you may get some answers. I'm not sure if I mentioned this to you before, but my doctor put me on progesterone suppositories when I got pg after mmc. He said it can only help, just passing along possibly helpful info.

meita, I agree that it sounds exactly like a UTI or bladder infection. Maybe double check? Could be your antibiotic killed off the good stuff too!? Welcome back from hols, eh?

limelight, I was also bummed that I had let myself go for the year after my mmc. Had stopped exercising, was eating whatever, etc. Anyway, I've just tried to do a turnaround while pg, taking walks, eating well, etc - it's all we can do at this point.

Congrats and welcome to all the newbies! So glad you're here and as meita mentioned - you are pg now, so TRY to spend more time celebrating than worrying (I know it's hard!!!)

TFLS - good luck with your scan!!!

I just had a 10w scan today and everything looks "normal" - so that's good. Heart rate wwas 177bpm and length is 3.3 cm. Didn't get to see any wiggling around which I'd been hoping for after watching 10w us videos on youtube - but I guess a heartbeat will have to do! I think I dare add me to the list now. Still a bit aprehensive til I pass the 12w mark, but am trying to think the best.

AlbaDeTamble · 18/05/2010 09:41

morning all
hello TFLS good to hear from you, was wondering where you'd got to, lucky you, off on holiday. My fingers are very, very tightly crossed for your scan today, and also for yours Louise. Looking forward to hearing from you both how wonderful it was to see your babies faces and that they're in the best of health.

Zayja, great to hear yours was all good.

Malteser, didn't you have a scan scheduled for yesterday? I do hope it was all good news, keeping my fingers tightly crossed till you post.

sarahlou, with DS I seem to remember not feeling movements every day at your stage, whenever I started to really worry, I'd eat something calorie dense, then have a lie down, so he'd be full of energy and I'd be more easily able to feel him -- got a wriggle and reassurance many times that way.

Gi1da I'm with you on the nerves and the queasy. I'm discovering I got off very lightly on the MS with DS, only ever a bit queasy and lemon and ginger tea always worked. This time, I find something that helps a bit and it works for a day or two then I can't face it any more, and last night I threw up. Rare for me and hideously unpleasant. Wondering if nerves aren't helping. This week is as far as my last little one got, although I didn't find out for weeks, and try as I might to think positive, it's really giving me the collywobbles. I'm counting the days till scan next thursday and dreading it all at the same time.

randomimposter · 18/05/2010 10:12

just popped on to send a big wave to TFLS for the scan today, will pop back later

Alba, know what you mean; had no sickness at all with DS, but both subsequent pregnancies had lots of sickness. Can empathise with how you are feeling, have all crossed for you for next week x

lovely to see RHG on the list - look after her for us
.
Hi to all - glad all tumbling along nicely.

barrenbrook · 18/05/2010 10:26

Just popping in to wish you good luck for scan today TFLS thinking of you

Cheepz · 18/05/2010 14:05

Go TFLS go, been a while but keeping tabs on you all and hoping for all things good for you today

Goodluckbear · 18/05/2010 14:49

Hey TFLS - hope the scan went ok xxx

HappyGirl1 · 18/05/2010 16:13

TFLS best of luck with your scan today really hope it goes well

thefatladyscreams · 18/05/2010 16:17

Hi guys - all went well. Phewwww.

Was a nervous wreck beforehand needless to say. But sonographer was lovely and kept telling us that each bit was fine as she went along. Mind you, she did put our pictures in the bin at the end and had to retrieve them!

Baby very coy to start with and hiding his/hers gender but finally played ball at the end and it's a boy.

Feeling exhausted now. Went and bought some books afterwards for us to read to the baby - how soppy!

Thought of you Louisesh at 12.10 (I could see the clock on my scan monitor) - can't believe we were within 20 minutes of each other! Hope today went well for you.

10 week scan sounds great zayja!

Thanks to everyone for the really kind comments - I read them just before I left and you all boostered my morale!

Off to collapse into a heap now before I find the next thing to worry about!!!

BestLaidPlans · 18/05/2010 16:28

BarrenBrook, that's awful, so, so sorry.

TFLS hope all's gone well today.

G1lda turns out I didn't need your very kind offer of the tuna to knock me out. The last 10 days have gone by in a blur of parent's evenings, report writing and giant stack of test paper marking. not to mention not being able to keep my eyes open past about 8:30.

The scan was lovely, I needn't have worried so much. The baby wouldn't keep still so pictures are a bit blurry, but just so relieved to finally walk out of a scan room smiling! Currently teaching foetal development at work and it was so nice after teaching it last year while miscarrying to have a little private squee as I put up the 13 week pictures. Though obviously now a week has passed I am back to considering all the things that could possibly have gone wrong.

Hope everybody has had a lovely day.

AlbaDeTamble · 18/05/2010 16:29

yay! great news TFLS

AlbaDeTamble · 18/05/2010 16:31

and bestlaidplans too, cross posted

randomimposter · 18/05/2010 17:07

tfls - that's made me go awwww out loud... took me back to my 20 week scan with DS. I was convinced I was having a girl (no preference but a hunch). When the sonographer told us it was a boy I cried... she asked if that was ok, I told her I had thought it was a girl, and that my dad had died 2 days earlier.. it just seemed so right. So thrilled for you, and for all the other happy scans.

Goodluckbear · 18/05/2010 17:32

Aw, great news TFLS and Bestlaidplans - a happy end to the working day!! I bet you feel like jelly now!!

Sorry I got confused with dates, I didn't realise Louisesh was having a scan today too - so hope that has gone really well for you.

I'm finding waiting for that 12 week scan really hard now!! Mine is three weeks tomorrow - when I'll actually be 13 weeks. I was up for a couple of hours in the night crying as I played through the scenario that it would be another mmc. Complete madwoman. 3am is not the time to be running through imaginary worst case scenarios!!

So Alba - I'm with you on the waiting. 'Tis shitty, when do we get to press fastforward.

HappyGirl1 · 18/05/2010 18:14

Louiseh apologies I didn't realise you have your scan today also - hope it went well too.

TFLS & BestLaidPlans - congrats to you both that's such good news. I'm delighted for you both!

GLB I'm with you on the countdown.. my 12 week scan is 2 weeks today.

I was a total stress head yesterday for a variety of reasons (I won't bore u all!), then felt sooo guilty for being stressed and spent have the evening crying and now obsessing about everything again. I just hope the little bean is okay so so so much.

Happy evenings to u all!

Meita · 18/05/2010 19:22

oooh really happy for you both TFLS and BLP!

Gi1da · 18/05/2010 19:44

Wow what a happy scan day!

Congrats BLP and TFLS woot woot WOOT! Hope it's been exciting for you too Louiseh - I just noticed your due date is my birthday. I commend you on your timing, it's great day to be born on!

Alba I'm on the fingersandlegs crossed week too, if I get to Friday then I'm past the mc. I really do think it will be ok this time. Got a little spring in my step today.

Big mad wave at Jolls

zayja · 19/05/2010 00:25

congrats tfls great news! Now you can narrow down your names conrats also blp nice to get a reassuring scan, even if the feeling is fleeting. louise hope all was well with yor scan also.
happy - I'm with you on the stress thing girl. Cried at work today because I don't feel I can do this job much longer. Then apologizing to bean all the way home and crying. Bundled up at home on the couch now, poor dh doesn't know what to do with me I'm sure. I just hope my babe's ok - hoping he/she is protected a bit from mum's emotions. Do you think?

Unbuffy · 19/05/2010 09:52

Hi ladies

So glad to hear reassuring scan news - very pleased for you!

Wrote long post last night and lost it and was too tired to retype. Basic gist as follows! Just when I thought things had settled down a bit, it all comes and kicks you in the arse. Back at parents' house although parents away as it is closer to inlaws. Lovely FIL taken very much worse on Sat night; he died on Monday. So we are trying to help sort things out and really really hoping all well Friday now - it would be extra awful if it isn't now.

Hope everyone else continues to have a better week than we are. Love to all.

Goodluckbear · 19/05/2010 10:20

So sorry to hear about your FIL Unbuffy, that's so sad . Thinking of you and your family. xxx

AlbaDeTamble · 19/05/2010 10:56

So sorry Unbuffy, that's so sad for you. Fingers extra tightly crossed for you for Friday that some good news can give you some happiness on such a sad week xxx

Redheadgal · 19/05/2010 11:31

Unbuffy what dreadful news! Thinking of you and your DH. Really really hope Friday goes well. xxx
