When is your early scan Mrsseed?

sh77 · 20/12/2009 19:26

Hi everyone

Please can I join. I had an ERPC 1 month ago. I found at 9 weeks that I had miscarried. I think I ovulated last Saturday and, well, made the most of it with hubby. A week later, my boobs are pretty sore but I have had on/off boob pain since the MC (but not as bad as now). Please could anyone tell me if they had boob pain after their MC and how long it lasted?

blondieminx · 21/12/2009 23:41

Hello all

Should be a ble to spend a bit more time on here now - started my maternity leave on Friday, yipee .

It's lovely to see some more new ladies on here too - I found this thread a great support through those scary first few weeks where you're pertrified of losing again. I wish you all LONG and very uneventful stays on here. Do add yourselves to the list as and when you feel ready to do so. Take each day as it comes and look after yourselves (sometimes not easy at this busy time of year I know).

Festive sparkly sticky vibes to all currently concieved and a big hi and hug to all the graduates and their lovely bambinos!

Ciara11 · 22/12/2009 12:41

Afternoon Everyone

Lucky you Blondie im still at work, finish tomorrow with our xmas lunch and im due 2 weeks today

I cant believe that within the next month, LO will be with me.

Im now starting to feel all the pressure of the head being engaged and its very uncomfortable to walk, sleep, eat you name it, but heh it will be worth it in the end

I cant believe this snow though, it took me two hours to do a 10 min journey last night, lucky my DP works with me and we were in car together, cause at one point he was having to push car as we got stuck in the ice

Good luck to all the newbies on here and hope you all have sticky beans and are here to stay.

From Christmas Eve, i should be able to post more, as long as i can get my internet working at home

Christmas Wishes to everyone

blondieminx · 29/12/2009 18:46

Hi all

Hope everyone had lovely and very uneventful Christmasses? Would be good to hear how the newer ladies are getting on these days?

Ciara how's your mat leave so far? With you on the head being engaged thing - BlondieBump has settled with his/her head on the inside of my left hip and it feels sort of grindy as I walk sometimes! Am doing yoga funny walks to encourage widening of the pelvis to help with that - cue funny looks from DH!

Quietish here - getting runs of BH's still but no sign of a show or anything. Going for a curry with the girls from NCT tomorrow night though so that could start things off I guess!

Happy new year all

Allthe8s · 30/12/2009 14:52

Hi just popping in to say hi in the run up to NY.

Am 6 weeks today, took my booking letter to St Georges this morning - quite daunting being back at the antenatal booking/delivery suite office with lots of people hanging around outside waiting for news of new fresh bubbas.....last time I was on that floor on the hospital I was leaving without mine.

But I felt positive once I'd left and they lady at the desk told me I will get an appointment next week for early checks.

Nausea not too bad, just knackered and tres emotional......and very bloated.....

How is everyone else doing feeling?? mrsseed how did you get on at your scan? Sh77 and Buckler how are you doing?

Fingers crossed.......for everyone! x

Ciara11 · 30/12/2009 17:38

Hi Blondie maternity leave going ok, although was back in work yesterday finishing a few bits off, not good eh?

DP and his dad are currently upstairs putting up new bedroom furniture before LO arrives, better hold off on curries etc until its done eh

Now at the uncomfortable stage with sleeping etc but LO still only 4/5 engaged at last checkup at 38+1, so looks like im gonna be late, i now just want to be holding LO in my arms.

Hope everyone had a good christmas and new year

alys78 · 30/12/2009 20:03

HI,

Just , thought I'd check in and say that apart from a stinking cold and no voice we are fine.
Had a bad day on boxing day, such bad backache, so much pain, I was convinced it was all over. uch to our releif I think was more due to trying to walk in the snow, combined with the cold.
Anyway, it's 2 minutes past my bedtime now!!

Happy baby thoughts to all

xxx

blondieminx · 31/12/2009 18:06

Alys stay in the warm, rest up and look after yourself!

Ciara that last bit might engage soon for you! Those physio balls are great for encouraging baby into position - and you can pick them up for less than a tenner these days! So, nursery furniture all done now? I keep popping into our nursery and I can hardly believe it's all real and that there will be an actual baby in there soon Hope you really are on leave now (no more popping back?) and can relax a bit? Naps in the day are a good way of catching up if you're not sleeping that well at night (I can't seem to manage more than about 2 and a half hours without waking up to go to the bathroom/being uncomfortable!)

Allthe8's oh that's good news, good luck for next week [fmsile]. I know exactly what you mean about visiting certain bits of the hospital (at our hosi, the ultrasound dept is just next to the EPU) and the memories - fingers crossed things work out MUCH better this time for you!

My news: 2 weeks ago I was 2/5th engaged - this morning I was told it's fully engaged and "could come any day now really but they come when they're ready" - baby's not actually due for just over a fortnight, I thought I had more nesting/freezer stocking time before this baby actually arrives . Eeek!

Anyhoo HAPPY NEW YEAR ladies, I hope 2010 brings lots of happy healthy knicker-checking graduates and babies!

MrsS77 · 01/01/2010 20:15

Please can I join?!

I am 5wks 1day after missed m/c and ERPC back in July - and am freaking out every time I go to the loo! Today I've had pink spotting all day, but am hoping that is because I let the DH get jiggy with it yesterday?

Really really hope I'm here for the long haul!

alana39 · 02/01/2010 13:54

Happy new year everyone and welcome to all the newbies. Sorry haven't had much time to read through but at a glance it looks like everyone is doing well.

MrsS77 fingers crossed for you it is very common as I'm sure you know.

DS3 has chosen Christmas and new year for a mammoth growth spurt at 6/7 weeks so it has been a little bit stressful to say the least - Blondie and Ciara now that you've finished work make the most of all the lie-ins you can get, won't be long now before you have your little ones in your arms.

PandaEisGOTABFP · 02/01/2010 14:04

can i join in??

i got my BFP yesterday after 27 cycles, 4 MCs (5 altogether) so i will be definitely checking my pants often

i am a happy lady today though

blondieminx · 02/01/2010 23:28

Hi Alana - good to "see" you! happy new year! DH goes back to work on Monday and I think then it will properly feel like I'm on mat leave. Hope DS3 is more chilled for you this coming week . Are your other DS's back at nursery/school from Monday/Tuesday?

Welcome to Panda and MrsS77 - take each day as it comes, rest up plenty and I am sending you lots of sticky bean vibes! Do feel free to add yourselves to the list as and when you feel ready to do so. Hope your stays on this thread are long and uneventful

Buckler · 03/01/2010 11:22

Hey, how was everyones Christmas and new year?
Had a scan on New Years Eve they said everything looked normal and that i was ten weeks. Still a way to go but saw the baby move and turn upside down very surreal and wonderful!! Fingers crossed everything stays normal.
How is everyone else doing?

blondieminx · 04/01/2010 23:12

Ah that's fab news Buckler, it's so magical seeing the baby wiggle about on screen, helps make it more real eh .

I'm still here (head fully engaged now, eeeeek - and so could pop any day now!)... any news from Ciara, she's due any day now too!

Ciara11 · 05/01/2010 17:17

No proper news from me yet im afraid Blondie due today, had a show on sunday night but nothing further, baby still only 3/5 engaged but was told he could stay like that until labour. Also was told you can get a couple of shows before labour

Getting a lot of tightenings and stomach cramps but nothing concrete.

Just hope the snow doesnt get to me in Kent.

How are u going Blondie?

Good to hear from you Alana

irisfire · 05/01/2010 20:06

hey all.. been a long time.. about a year or so! (last seen on knicker check thread a few back, lol)but thought I should pop on with an update.

DH and I managed to resolve things, turns out he was doing the male hide feelings, run away thing. We sadly had another m/c in december last year and we decided to stop trying and give it a rest for a while (I think physically and emotionally I need it!)

A year on, I find myself pregnant again, a little anxious but had my first scan today, earlier than we thought at 4w+6d but they are keeping an eye on me due to history so will be having regular scans throughout.

Saw gestational sac and yolk sac, no fetal pole at this stage but have been reassured this is quite normal. First time in a long time we have seen something viable on a scan so I am keeping positive and due back on 19th Jan for 2nd scan at approx 7 weeks

alana39 · 06/01/2010 12:14

Ciara hadn't realised you were due already, fingers crossed that the show will mean it all happens soon (is the snow going to cause you any problems?). FWIW with my 1st 2 I had the baby within 3 days of the show so you never know. Very exciting that we will have another baby along shortly.

blondieminx · 06/01/2010 12:49

oooh well that does sound promising Ciara good luck, and keep us all posted won't you? Hope it stays snow free for you!

Iris welcome back and it sounds like you're having a very happy new year already, congratulations! Sending you lots of "sticky" vibes

Alana nice to see you, how's it going? Any snow out your way?

No shows here but occaisional backache/periody cramps but baby still wiggling about and apparently they go quiet just before they appear. I'm just taking it day by day! My sister rang last night and informed me I'm not allowed to pop until the snow's gone - she's snowed in just outside of Cheltenham already bless her! In the meantime I'm staying out of the snow (about 3 inches here in Essex so far!) and batch cooking....

upsoearly · 06/01/2010 15:08

Hello. I had a MMC in November last year and am rather stunned to find that I am now apparently pregnant again (especially stunned as I had to have IVF to conceive my DD).

Thing is, I feel absolutely no symptoms and am currently feeling almost certain that the same thing is going to happen again.

How early is the earliest you can have a scan to find out if the pregnancy is viable?

At the moment I'm not really allowing myself to believe I'm pregnant as I can't bear the idea of going through another miscarriage.

blondieminx · 06/01/2010 15:28

Hi, welcome and congratulations!

They can scan you anytime to check the pregnancy - but the longer you leave it (horrendous waiting in those early days I know) the more chance there is of seeing a heartbeat which is reassuring. After 8 weeks your risk of MC goes down dramatically to something like 2%. How far gone are you?

Look after yourself, take it one day at a time and we are here for support

upsoearly · 06/01/2010 16:11

Thanks blondieminx. I am not even 5 weeks yet, so it really is early days. I'll try to wait until at least 7 weeks, maybe 8... I'm going to be a nervous wreck! Last time I found out I had miscarried at 9 weeks, but it had actually happened a couple of weeks earlier.

blondieminx · 06/01/2010 16:44

well 7-8 weeks sounds like a good time to go and get checked. Do ask your GP to refer you to the EPU so you can get a nice early scan done .

When I was a new knicker checker, I didn't have many symptoms either (just an oversensitive sense of smell). Someone said to me then (and as I found it reassuring i'll say it to you!) that when you've been through MC the worry that it'll happen again overwhelms all other symptoms. Hang in there, and take it day by day - I wish you a long and uneventful stay on the thread

Oh, and do add yourself to the list as and when you feel ready to do so

Allthe8s · 07/01/2010 11:44

Hi ladies

having a down day today am 7+1 and was feeling so relaxed and positive but have just had some spotting. Going to the epu tomorrow morn for a scan.

Still feeling very sick and tired so hoping that it's just breakthrough bleeding or from when I had a cervical polyp removed in November....so am hopeful. Bleeding was very different before as it was much later and I lost dd2 at 21 weeks but its such a gut wrenching feeling be that blood there.

I am working today at home (childminding) and I all want to do is go to bed and hide

MrsGazebo · 07/01/2010 17:01

Keep positive Allthe8s keeping everything crossed for you.
Sending lots of sticky good vibes your way. X
