I've just discovered I am 5.5 weeks pregnant.

In the last 2 years I have had 2 mcs and our dd2 was stillborn at term.

So I don't feel like I fit into the antenatal threads, and don't want to frighten anyone with my experiences.

Anyone else out there who needs a gentle thread?

Hello everyone. I just wanted to point out that there is a long running antenatal thread for people who've had previous problems in pregnancy

here

I've recently graduated from it myself and it was a complete life-saver for me to hear how many others had the same fears and symptoms as me.

If you want to pop over then please do It's very friendly and warm there.

Dear All,

Thank you for the reassurance it is really helpful.

I will just keep busy in a relaxed way.

Sorry to interrupt again, but we've just filled the old thread, the new one is here

It's so nice to see everyone supporting each other at such a difficult time. I've got my fingers crossed for all of you.

woollyjo · 23/10/2009 14:38

Crap, started a very light, bright red bleed today. Can't get to speak to a doc until 4. Not much they could do anyway .

Please don't let this be it

Wooly, big hugs sweethheart, praying that all is ok xxx

joesgirl · 23/10/2009 16:52

woolly, try to think positive -- I know it is difficult, but there are so many cases where bleeding happened during the first trimester and still all went well.

I also had a lot of on and off bleeding (including bright red) since week 5. It has stopped for now (week 12), and of course until my next scan I don't know if all is ok (I am also one of these who already had 4 or 5 scans ).

But just wanted to let you know that there is hope!! Praying for you that all is ok.

woollyjo · 23/10/2009 19:02

Thanks for the support - I've got a scan set up with EPAU on Sunday morning which is thankfully really quick for round here (I had to wait 5 days for a scan with my other two mcs).

Trying to keep positive.

Hope you all have nice weekends

Oh woollyjo i'm so hoping things go ok for you - i've been really hoping i could join you on this thread sometime soon but so far it's not to be. We'd been ttc before ds2 died in march and have been been since. here's hoping xx i'm thinking of you and yours tonight.

OneBabyPlease · 23/10/2009 22:45

Hey Woolly - hang in there - there seems to be lots of ladies who've had bleeds with happy endings so I've got everything crossed that you're one too, it seems pretty common. Stay positive & hoping Sunday comes round very soon for you. Thinking of you x

I'm ok thanks Hairy, got an early scan date for 3rd when I'll (hopefully) be 7+3. Hope everyone else is ok too. Take it easy girls. . . .

woollyjo · 25/10/2009 13:04

Scan showed a 7 week(9mm)old blob with a heartbeat!

Having been there twice before receiving bad news this is a very welcome relief.

As always I am amazed that something that is (officially) the size of a baked bean can make me feel so rough - not complaining mind.

Phew!

Hey, woollyjo I'm so glad to see you here, and with such recent good news as well. You felt like my twin on the other thread with DDs of the same age .

I'm 38 weeks now and counting. I really hope that you get all the support you need for this pg here, and from your hospital. Will be thinking of you

mrsrvc · 26/10/2009 08:21

Wooly Jo,

I am so sorry you have had such a rough few days. That is really great news though to see your little bean.
Hope everyone else is doing ok.

Listening to the news today I hear they are starting to roll out the swine flu jab to pregnant ladies - any takers?

I'm really not sure ......
