OOOh - that's great news cheepz. Keeping my fingers crossed for you.

Totally - best of luck with everything today. I hope it goes OK. I read your other thread and can see you're really nervous about it all. Thinking of you.

Boodle - we started a list a while ago, so I'll repost it here and then everyone can update and add themselves. I'll update me and hoops and we're on the same timetable

ah cheepz... smile ... I still have all my early tests, nicely in order, hidden away in my knickers cupboard

Definitely the lines get darker every day (didn't do more than one per day).
After doing three cheapies, I went out and got a First Response and two CBDs. Did FR on day four and was amazed at the speed and clarity of the second line. Counted this as my BFP-day. Quite a different experience to second-guessing faint lines on internet cheapies! Another cheapy on day 5, then first CBD on day 6 (pg, 2-3 weeks). Many more cheapies after that, until day12 when CBD#2 was called for (still said 2-3 weeks).
You'll just need a little patience... help yourself to a generous portion of sticky vibes too (passes platter around).

totally go go go! Though must say, if you hold out until after midnight, your baby would have the best birthday ever (mine...)

list have been thinking about it - how did you guess, boodle? Was thinking that perhaps we could add stuff like upcoming appointments/scans, and how do you all feel about adding DC#, age, location? Or we could say that everybody just adds the info they want to disclose.

Anyway will update for myself and boodle and once we're a bit more up to date, there will actually be a point in updating the list every day. I'm also moving Becky to MIA as she hasn't checked in for a long time, and am roughly updating (by some educated guesswork) for Jacanne and Memory.

Am seeing doctor at 520 as we are away next week and i want my blood results - they werent due til next week but the surgery says they have them - whether pg or not getting the results will be good, maybe doctor will do a test ....

LeeWT · 12/02/2010 13:46

cheepz i defo think its first response time.. Similarly to Meita, I had internet cheapy line not faint but definately not strong and did a fr i had in the cupboard and was surprised at how quickly it bounced up! but the drs will do a test too tho apparently their tests arent very sensitive.. i still think it will be a bfp - i think it was meant to be that you graduate with me and boodle!

boodle lmao at your carnivorism!

totally good luck!!!

Can I have any suggestions for help with ms? Basically I spend most of the day feeling like i'm going to puke, then i eat something and it calms down for like a minute. Any suggestions for healthy snacks to eat to keep nausea at bay? miserable!

lee - chicken and bacon salad....hmmmmmmmm. had it for lunch and usually nausea has set in now but am feeling pretty ok......i really think the protein and creatin plays a big part.......

cheepz - GO AND GET CBDIGI.....internet cheapies are good but not as reassuring as seeing it ping up on a digi.....i have never got on with FR. I know we arent celebrating yet (hell i aint even celebrating for me til 1st mar) but still....yippeee

OP posts:
Meita · 12/02/2010 14:50

Lee healthy snacks for eating between meals:
Grapes, litchees, dried fruit (cherries, in particular, are supposed to be good against feeling sick), Ryvita (thanks to TFLS for that). Anything really that you can eat little of, but often. The aim is to keep your blood sugar levels pretty even rather than bouncing up and down.
A similar aim is achieved by eating for example cereal for breakfast rather than (white) bread, butter and jam. The white bread and butter will send your sugar soaring but this is invariable followed by a hole. The cereal (I mean a Musli style, unsweetened thing) will instead gently lift you up and keep you up for a much longer time.
Bananas: Not so good as will have same effect as bread&butter; carrots: Good as similar to Musli.

All that said - what I really want right now is a huge slice of creamy, chocolatey CAKE. I think I'll have to go out to find some.

boodleboot · 12/02/2010 14:53

or chicken and bacon salad!!!!!!!!!! xx

Meita · 12/02/2010 14:54

oh, and: I hope you feel a bit better soon. It's a miserable time isn't it? Poor DPs/DHs have to bear the brunt of it too, as you can't really go complaining to everyone who doesn't know yet... AND you're supposed to feel happy and excited...

thefatladyscreams · 12/02/2010 15:06

Oh Cheepz - I know you're whispering but I am so excited for you. I have a digital test in my drawer - where are you and I'll leap in the car and come over with it!

I'm of the "a line is a line" school. My first 3 BFPs were on internet cheapies and didn't even show positive until day 31 (got negatives on days 29 and 30 of a 28 day cycle) - so I think any line is good news. Oh please, please let it be a BFP. Whatever, we are all rooting here for you. xxx

You've made my day. I woke up feeling blue as today would have been my due date. But your news has blown alway all those blues.

Laughing my head off at your newly found carnivornousness Boodle - can just imaging you zapping around the supermarket. Nothing flesh will be safe!

Sorry you're having such a rough time Lee. I'm trying to watch my weight so eating a low GI diet which keeps your blood sugar levels even like Meita suggests. Something like porridge or an oats cereal for breakfast helps but having said that, I'm having a rough day today. I've read other people say boiled sweets can help (obviously not so healthy!).

Meita - happy birthday for tomorrow! Hope you've got a lovely weekend planned. Birthdays at weekends always mean a "birthday weekend!"

Louisesh - I have this mental image of your stash of sticks! Hope your appointment goes well - let us know.

Oh feels very scary adding myself to the list!

Cheepz · 12/02/2010 19:32

my blood tests are all fine. nothing to worry about there so thats great.

one more test tonight and it came up in the time window and is a little stronger so am beginning to believe it, still abit shellshocked its happened so fats and want to let myself relax a little before even talk to dh - had last mc at CD32, and the first one at CD 38 so really am the queen of early mc's so want to be super cautious. every twinge of backache at the moment is instant anxiety...

still its good nes eh!!

SamanthaB123 · 12/02/2010 19:59

Hello,

Can I join in here too? I got my BFP on the 10th and am now terrified that I'll miscarry again. Last time it was really early (just under 5 weeks) but the temptation to keep on doing tests is driving me mad.

Really glad to see that you are all doing so well, in spite of feeling sick. I'm keeping it all crossed for you cheepz

louisesh · 12/02/2010 21:01

Hi all.

Welcome SAMB Congrats .

Well, we attended our genetic counselling appointment.Good and bad really ,the outcome is my blood results shoildn t have any impact upon me ttc or the risk of me miscarrying.Thats the good news however, the bad news is that they can t give a reason for my poor obstetric history and can t offer us any treatment as we re not applicable for ivf/screening of my embryos.

Soo good and bad really....As i asked the genetic counseller if this pg "goes tits up" where do we go from here?????

Soo we ll see what happens from here....

Hope everyones ok?

jollster I've heard of people going for the bloods early, so that they can discuss the results right at the scan. If the wait worries you, why don't you inquire if that is a possibility?

cheepz excellent news that everything is fine genetically speaking. Now it all just up to luck, I suppose... I have a feeling this one will be a sticky one for you, third time lucky and all.

SamB welcome and congrats! We've all been there (or are still there) so know exactly how you're feeling. Unfortunately noone can promise you that everything will be fine, BUT what we can promise is that we'll be here to handhold, whatever the news, good or bad.

Oh Louise that sure sounds like a rollercoaster ride. If they can't give a reason, could it have just been bad luck? It's unfortunate that they can't offer any treatment (why are you not eligible for IVF/screening?) - it puts all the more pressure on this pregnancy working out. Well I for one have everything crossed for you!

Jacanne Well I sort of worked it out from the EDD... glad I didn't mess it all up. Mat leave in two weeks - cool! You must be really looking forward to it! I hope you get to enjoy the last two weeks "at work" too

Re: totally ... I suppose IABU to think we should be the first to get news and yet... the suspense is killing me...

Hope everyone is well!

Meita · 13/02/2010 12:33

oops, x-posted (should learn to type faster! or rather, think faster). SamB's list is the one, ignore mine please...

SamanthaB123 · 13/02/2010 17:19

Hi Guys,

Not sure this is good news but am keeping everything crossed...

I've had some ewcm with a tinge of pink. Obviously fearing the worst not least because I can't think of a reason why it could of happened that is ok. We did have sex this morning, maybe that was a bad idea? Two early mc in three months would be rotten luck.

Oddly, this time, more than last I really feel pregnant in myself. I don't suppose that counts for anything though in these situations. I've still been taking my temperature and this morning it was higher than ever, so I assumed that was a good sign. My symptoms have been increasing day on day too. Boobs feel terribly tender and much larger than yesterday.

I do have another CBD in the drawer but I can't face it saying not pregnant at me. I can see I'm going to be in the loo every two minutes checking for bleeding.

malteser1981 · 13/02/2010 17:30

Sam - don't panic it probably just because your vascular BFP cervix has had a bit of a knock. Think positive. Good luck.

Jacanne · 13/02/2010 17:59

Samantha - I had that early in this pregnancy and all was well - will be keeping everything crossed for you
