That's great news lee. Must be such a relief for you.

Loving the new name hoops. I think mine should be "amybooismostlyupsidedown" - am spending many minutes a day upside down in an attempt to get mini amyboo to move. He's not having any of it though. Going to try lots of handstands in the pool again tomorrow - how ridiculous must that look?

Very excited for you Totally. Hope everything goes OK on Saturday and you manage to get some rest before then. I can't believe you're ready to go already. Where has time gone?

Cheepz · 11/02/2010 11:44

woot woot go leebean

HoopsIsGettingMassive · 11/02/2010 12:35

amyboo LOL!! You should be going everywhere on your hands and knees, then you would be 'amybooismostlyactinglikeadog' you must look a bit like a crazy lady in the pool!!

Also good luck to totally, can't believe you are nearly there, how did you sweep go today?

thefatladyscreams · 11/02/2010 13:07

Oh Lee - fantastic news! You must be so relieved. Bet you sleep well tonight.

thefatladyscreams · 11/02/2010 13:11

Sorry forgot to post the rest of my message in my excitment [duhhhh]

totally - sounds really exciting. Wishing you a good (and itch free) night's sleep tonight.

Love your new name Hoops

Can just imagine the looks you'll get in the pool amyboo - sounds like you've got real limpet in there, bless him.

louisesh · 11/02/2010 13:18

Fabulous news LEE. How many weeks are you now? I m thinking of putting my scan off to 8 weeks......

Good luck TOTALLY

Hi to all X

Meita · 11/02/2010 14:30

Yipeee Lee! Great news!

totally Isn't it just unfair that when in theory you should be stockpiling sleep (as you won't get much of it for a while once baby is born) - you hardly get any at all? That you should start labour already exhausted? Why do we do this to ourselves?!
Hope all goes well today and Saturday. Does MrTotally know he needs to update us?!

amy hope your LO changes his mind soon! Doesn't he realise you just want what's best for him?

jollster re scan results: I think the reason for the delay is because the bloods need to go to the lab. You can potentially avoid the delay by having your blood test done a week or ten days before the scan.
When I had my scan 9 days ago, they measured the NT and told me immediately that it was nothing to worry about. I then went over to phlebotomy where they took my blood and got the "overall" results by mail just today. I am pleased that at 1:340 the risk is nothing I'd worry about, whilst it is indeed a bit higher than the average risk for my age - which I was expecting.
If things weren't ok, I think they'd call you rather than just writing. But most importantly, they probably WILL tell you the results of the NT immediately, so even if you have to wait for the letter, you should have a pretty good idea of what to expect.
Sorry to hear that you have been poorly. Fingers crossed that it will all improve soon!

TFLS glad you're feeling sick again . I just realised that I don't know if/when you are having an early scan. I wasn't offered one and decided not to go for a private one, although DP wanted to. I figure I was trying to at least pretend that I was being carefree and relaxed about it all .

boodle still no news on your cat?

Meita · 11/02/2010 15:23

oh and cheepz - I know you asked on the other thread but things are sooo busy there... just wanted to say that I started the baby aspirin a few days after the BFP, and stopped last week though I believe it's ok to keep taking it until the last trimester or something. Louise on the other hand, correct me if I'm wrong, took it already whilst TTC. HTH and good luck in the next couple of days!

TotallyAndUtterlyPaninied · 11/02/2010 17:01

Good news Lee

I've just been to hospital. Baby's water is now FAR too much. If my waters go her cord could prolapse so they can't sweep and I've got to go in tomorrow night for induction and water breaking. I'm so scared. Had terrible prostin pains last time

thefatladyscreams · 11/02/2010 17:21

Oh Totally, it must be scary but you are so close now. Wishing you tonnes of luck for the next few days. You will be holding your baby soon. We're all rooting for you. Lots of very unMumsnet hugs!

boodleboot · 11/02/2010 18:24

Brilliant news lee - what did they date your bubba?

OP posts:
boodleboot · 11/02/2010 18:30

sorry totally .....really hope you have a peaceful birth experience.....it'll all be worth it when you are holding on to your little bubs....

OP posts:
Meita · 11/02/2010 19:46

totally, obviously you're worried. I think birth is scary at the best of times... let alone when things don't all go to plan. Wishing you all the best for the next days! It's not far now.

Cheepz · 11/02/2010 20:03

been in two minds about whether to post, its sooooo faint.... but it is there ....

thought you should be the first to know ...

louisesh · 11/02/2010 20:38

Good luck TOTALLY fingers crossed for you XX

OMG CHEEPZ told you so!!!! Well done [grin, grin, grin]

louisesh · 11/02/2010 20:39

That was suppose to be;

randomimposter · 11/02/2010 20:43

lee that's fabulous news - congrats. Hugely reassuring - hope you can relax and enjoy.

cheepz OMG - that's brilliant. Buckets of stickiness to you.

meita - I read the thread earlier on my phone which doesn't tell me the name of the poster (am sure I could fix it if I was clever enough ), but I KNEW it was a post from you. You have a truly maternal manner - your posts are always full of concern and (excellent) advice and dare I say it without sounding cheesy, LOVE. I guess I've been spoiled by going to Kings previously where you get the results straight away, they do your bloods, and then you have your scan, a short wait and then you are talked through your results. It just seems the proper way to do it in my mind? But totally get what you say, just would hate the wait and the call if not all well.

totally thinking of you, know it's so scary, but soon all so worth it.

Hi to all - hope everyone doing ok - boodle any cat news?

OP posts:
Cheepz · 12/02/2010 08:40

thanks meita you can be excited for me as I am allowing no excitement at all especially since this mornings test is I would say at best inconclusive. I did the test, nothing seemed to appear in the first 5 mins despite much scrutinising, then DS kicked off and by the time I got back to look it was after 10 mins - by then there was very faint line - almost more so than last nights tests (2!).

So not sure if that is valid as the cheapies say don't read them after 10 mins.

Now please don't shoot me down for what I about to tell you next, I won't be telling the other thread and noone else in the world knows my embarassing secret but ......

Because its all abit ambiguous I got this mornings, last nights two, the three from the night before and one from very early in the week (from the bin) and taped them all together to compare how they loook when they are dry and what 'tidemarks' might come out and from the first through to most recent the tidemarks seem to be getting darker...the very early one doesnt seem to have a line at all, the ones from two days ago have very faint lines, yesterdays lines are more distinguishable and todays is getting more prominent as it drys

what does it all mean!!! I don't dare get a CB Digi as I am not sure test would be strong enough and not pregnant after rummaging through the bin and selotaping tests together might finish me off. Think I am going to haev to wait a little longer. Symptoms wise - I don't really have any - no cramps for AF or PG, CM is greeny yellow which is more likely to be PG than AF based on my norms. Am tetchy as hell but think thats the uncertainty. Boobs are biggish, but haven't lost Xmas holiday weight so could just be that am a porker at the mo.

Sorry for rant but apart from Viv, Zayja and Barren there are not many folk on the other thread who I 'know' very well'.

God I love you girls... x

Now I know all this pakes in comparison to the fact that TOTALLY IS HAVING HER BABY TODAY. Will be thinking of you all day

louisesh · 12/02/2010 09:55

CHEEPZ think you ve only echoed what we ve all done!!! I m still doing tests [only as i ve got some in the house, the free ones from work!!!!]
