Thanks for messages, feeling a bit more settled but need to do a wee again . Can't face going to the loo either! Just keeping everything crossed.

boodleboot · 14/02/2010 16:32

hello to my lovely peeps...sam fear not, i'm sure its nothing to worry about...

have you ever smelt runner beans? i have just chopped some for the roast and OHMYGOD they are the most amazing smelling things in the whole wide world. So wonderful that i burst into tears.....

seriously.....hormones are knocking me for six and i cry at everything. DH and I were at a convention last night and he was speaking at the podium and said some really lovely things about me in his talk and i blubbed like a baby then when it was my turn to speak my lip was quivering the whole way through and lots of people in the audience cried along with me....

i have turned into an UTTER girl....

SamanthaB123 · 14/02/2010 16:37

Thanks Boo - all well today and nothing since yesterday. MC at this time last time so will be glad when I get to the end of the week and am still pregnant. Anyone heard anything from Mrs R? I haven't seen a post from her since her BFP - I really hope she is ok?

randomimposter · 14/02/2010 20:51

Sam I had that too a couple of weeks ago; it was literally a tinge of pink (like Rose white on a paint chart...) but I was worried too. I'd been in a car with heated seats and was convinced that I'd done some damage... what IS it about TTC and pregnancy that makes you go totally loop-the-loop!!!!????

I've since been paranoid as my CM has been dark yellow for a few days and thought it was moving towards brown. But no. Think it's likely that's I'm ridiculously dehydrated. Am feeling really nauseous mostly in the afternoon, and really tired; partly cos DS is not sleeping very well. But still hanging in there at 9+2. So every day is a positive.

Boodle love the beans story. Take it no moomin news?

Hi everyone - take care x

Sarahlou8 · 14/02/2010 21:22

Hi everyone,

I'm cautiously beginning to feel slightly more confident today, BFP was 5 days ago now and after a frightening day on Thursday (a bleed which I am hoping was implantation) I seem to be okay.

boodle I have just cried at Hayleys performance on Dancing on ice. I thought I was being a right emotional 'girl' too until I saw Karen Barber doing the same!

Cheepz - I am chuckling at your 'secret' POAS addiction! Yes, I was a bit like that last month. This time it only took one, 4 days early, to show positive and I've been VERY good and ONLY done 4 more!

Sam this is spooky and I'm beginning to feel like a stalker - just been over to the Oct thread (which I am defo not brave enough to join yet) and seen your stats, and I am also 37, with 2 DC's age 9 & 11!! Hope you're ok today x
Hi to everyone else x Still playing 'catchup'

SamanthaB123 · 14/02/2010 21:54

Sarah I'm really glad that you haven't had any bleeding since Thursday. It is really scary isn't it? I don't think that you are a stalker, but it is a coincidence. Do you think that much has changed in the world of preganancy in the last 12 years???

I only did one test. I am terrified to do another one as that was what I did in December. A few days after my first BFP I did another test which was negative...mc followed. I can't face doing another one. I did wonder though, how many days after AF due should a CBD show 2-3 weeks rather than 1-2 weeks? On 13DPO it said 1-2 weeks, so if I was going to do another one and be able to see that the hormone was rising when should I do it? Just a thought...feeling really sick right now and I need to buy a bigger bra. My boobs are uncontrollable.

Jollster I'm glad the same thing happened to you (well not glad you had to go through it) and you are still fine many weeks on. I did read lots of stuff on the internet that made me feel much more positive that it could still be ok.

Hi Everyone else, off to bed. Shattered with all the excitement!!! SB

Cheepz · 14/02/2010 22:07

I am in Scotland. Thank god there is wireless. all well here, no AF and no more tests but am sure I am pg now. Feeling ok, no cramps like last month and no backache. Hate going to the loo as am totally paranoid every time there will be pink, but by tomorrow morning will be past last months mc day CD32, and once I am past CD38 will be past the last summer one too, will register with doctor when get home to get early scan, I don't think I will really start to relax until 6 weeks, and then only a little. But I am here. So far I am fine and I am feeling optimistic that it will be ok.

Sam and Sarah, hope you both doing ok

Boo - no news of le chat?

Love to all else - not quite ready to list yet ... few more days maybe.

Have at least told DH, bless him he said 'lets hope we've got that over with!!!' think he meant all the TTC. But he is being very supportive which is great.

memorylapse · 14/02/2010 23:29

just catching up with this thread after a week in hospital..had a bleed and some pain..so ended up with steroids just in case and an insulin drip to control my blood sugars as they tend to go ga ga with steroid jabs if you are diabetic. back at day assesment tomorrow for more monitoring..scan showed baby to be fine..but none of the ctg's I had fitted their criteria.

no news from totally I assume?

boodleboot · 15/02/2010 08:25

i am coming to the conclusion that my beautiful moomin is gone forever....and it is really horrible as obviously being so emotional anyways i literally have cried through the last week. Such a shame.

physically i am a bit frightened at how quickly i am putting on weight and am actually going to go on a bit of a diet....now not a denial diet before you all jump on me and kick me just a not a 'hmm i think i will eat whatever i want' plan that i currently have been following... {altho to be fair i have been so sick that had to just eat what i could....}
Now i am happily eating meat again it should be a bit easier to keep the unecessary weight gain down.

wow....cheepz you are pregnant....that is sooo cool.

hmm totally must have had the baby by now eh?? how exciting....

Everything's fine over here. I still don't think mini amyboo has moved, and am starting to get a little concerned about the possibility of a c-section. seeing the gynae on Wednesday, so hopefully we can talk about the options then.

I know what you mean about not feeling ready hoops! I'm ready to finish work in 4 weeks, but not sure I'm ready for what comes after!

So sorry to hear about your bleed and hospital stay, memory. I hope it all sorts itself out... good that your LO seems to be coping well.

sarahlou, SamB, cheepz the first few days are soooo worrying, aren't they? I'm glad the bleeds appear to have been false alarms. cheepz enjoy Scotland! Indeed, you have lots of SWOI to look forward to now. Except you'll probably be too knackered and sick most of the time .

boodle so about your cat.
I hope you and Lee are feeling a bit better on the sickness front.

News from my side:
DP just got promoted, and it's a massive promotion, quite unexpected in its scale. The financial details haven't come through yet but we're looking at something like 30-40% payraise... yay!
We are now planning a holiday - we haven't "properly" holidayed (meaning: Just the two of us going somewhere) since 2007, when we went away for a week in a camper van, and before that it was 2004, 2 weeks in Arizona (because DP had a conference there). In between there has been plenty of travelling, but always work related or visiting family back in Switzerland; and about a week per year staying with my parents at a friend's house in the south of France. So, no lack of getting around, but it's just not the same as "proper" holidays (I know I'm very privileged for being able to say this).
Anyway, I'm soooooo looking forward to this, at least two weeks at a beach, and as we've sort of saved up our holiday quota, we're going to splurge!

We had tea with friends yesterday, and told them about being pregnant. I was alone with the woman at the time, the men out fixing the computer or something. She congratulated and immediately offered help, which I appreciate a lot as we know few people around here and our families are in Switzerland. Then I mentioned that we hadn't been telling people yet as we were worried that things might go wrong, particularly as I had MC'ed before - and she opened up with her own story... she had unexpectedly become pregnant at Christmas time (i.e. same time as me), and just when she'd got used to the idea and started looking forward to having a 3rd DC, she MC'ed. Complete with complications and emergency hospital stays. I felt terrible for her... dealing with all this and then along comes me and springs the news that we're expecting a baby at the same time hers would have been due... Also glad I mentioned the MC as otherwise she probably wouldn't have said anything and just suffered quietly.
Somehow I'd been thinking MCs only happen to people I know on MN.

Dear me, this is a loooong post... I apologise! Just had to get this off my chest.

thefatladyscreams · 15/02/2010 14:34

Hi everyone, have been lurking over the weekend and catching up on all the news.

Memory - glad you're back home and your lo is fine.

SamB - I had tinged CM at about the time I tested and was convinced it was all over before it started. It then disappeared - so please don't overworry.

How are you doing Sarahlou?

Meita - happy belated birthday - how did it go? Great news about the promotion - fantastic timing as you can have a real blow out for your last child free holiday! Sounds a bitter sweet conversation with your friend - funny how we don't open up until someone else does. Your news will have probably given her hope

Louisesh - IMHO (and complete medical lack of qualifications!) I'd read your genetics results as good news. They can see no reason why this one shouldn't be fine! I know someone with a similar history who now has a very healthy todder.

Amyboo - hope your gynae can give you some reassurance on Wednesday - or at least tell your lo to move in a firm voice

Cheepz - how did you get to Scotland without doing another test??? You amaze me! Yipeee cheepz is pregnant - I can now start yelling!

Boodle - so sorry that you've still got no news about your cat. It must be so hard just waiting. Did laugh at your welling up at the wonders of the runner beans. Your DH's speech sounds lovely .

Know what you mean about weight gain. I've had really bad naseau for the last few days - doesn't even seem to stop for long after eating and the only thing I've found that helps is lemon sherberts! I had been losing weight (without trying) - had lost 8lbs through healthy eating since I found out I was pregnant. Suspect I will be rapidly putting it back on.

Seriously, I have decided my body is falling to pieces. Can't sleep at all, feeling sick all the time and now got constipation and some sore throat lurgy. Blimey there is no dignity to this pregnancy business! Think my DH will go deaf with all my moaning - so come on here for a quick vent! And my really embarrassing question (which I could only ask here!) - I'm getting some aches in my vagina area. Any suggestions [polite answers only please and, no, I've not been doing any interesting!]

Lee - how are you doing my dear? I tried to buy some travel sickness bands yesterday without success - so can't tell you if they work.

And of course, last but not least, what news from Totally???? We are all drumming our fingers impatiently - please post Mr Totally!

SamanthaB123 · 15/02/2010 17:12

Hi All,

Mmmm...feeling a bit up and down today. I can't seem to shake off worrying that something might go wrong with this pregnancy and am over analysing everything thing that I feel. This is not helped by a number of factors - firstly, pregnancy makes you feel ill anyway and secondly, it is the end of term, I am exhausted and am usually ill with something or other in the holidays.

There hasn't been any more pink tinged ewcm since that one time so I am assuming that it was sex related . I do have a lot of abdominal discomfort and backache though and don't know if that 'means' anything. I wouldn't describe it as pain because it isn't. It is more a dull ache that is hanging around most of the time. It isn't in one place or sharp or stabbing, just there. My tummy sort of feels 'heavy'.

On the up side, my boobs are massive . You may have guessed this is not the norm for me and it is quite a noticable change. They are terribly tender too. Such is the situation that I'm going to have to buy a new bra tomorrow.

I called my doctor's surgery earlier and have made an appointment to for Thursday. The midwifery services are not based at my surgery at all so I will be referred on to them at a local hospital. It felt quite real saying it aloud to another person. We haven't really told anyway yet. I also found out where the nearest EPU is (I'm quite new to the area and didn't know) and have their number. I do feel reassured by having this just in case. I also know how to get there so I could whisk myself off if necessary.

Sorry for the rant, need to get it off my chest - DH working away this week and no-one else knows!

Hope you are all well, SB

SamanthaB123 · 16/02/2010 04:58

Well last night I braved it and did my second CBD. I was in a bit of a flap and quite worried. I am delighted to report that it still thought that I was pregnant and that I'd moved on to 2-3 weeks which is correct. Phew. I really need to chill out otherwise the next 8 months are going to be awful instead of amazing.

Cheepz · 16/02/2010 08:39

quick one from me ladies

did a cheapie this morning and for the first time, in seconds there it was - a great big fat unequivocal positive.

feeling better about that and going to officially move to grads list on other thread

Stats for this list would be
Cheepz baby#2 am on CD34 - so is that would be 4 +6? EDD is 19th October, DS is 2+8

Planning to book mw stuff when I get back and early scan at 7 weeks

boodleboot · 16/02/2010 09:34

OHMYGOD cheepz .....i am sooo pleased about this you know. It has all worked out wonderfully hasn't it...

i feel crapola again today. Two weeks til the twelve week scan but i am still stressing out about it already despite seeing the bean safe and sound last week.....i am so not relaxing into this yet....we need a nervous emoticon don't we....

sam we all understand, it is so nervewracking....

Sam..I tested every day for the first 2 weeks of this pregnancy..analysing every line wondering if it was paler/darker..and I must have spent a fortune on CBD's

congrats cheepz

just a quick post as Im shattered..been trailing round B and Q

Sarahlou8 · 16/02/2010 21:53

Hi all

Sam I'm glad you braved another test and put your mind at rest. I ended up doing yet another test this morning as I like to see the line go darker every couple of days. Showed DH and he rolled his eyes at me - think he's getting fed up of me obsessing!

I still don't have any symptoms. If it wasn't for those darkening lines I would be really worried. It's not like last time at all.

Hey does anyone watch Corrie? I'm loving the Becky/Steve storyline. I'm trying the 'baby needs a cup of tea' 'baby doesn't want to move' line regularly!

Nice to see you memorylapse, give my love to everyone on the May thread. I still pop in every now and then, I feel much happier now.
boodle yes I agree a nervous emoticon would be good, but then my posts would be absolutely crammed with them. I'm glad your last scan went well, two weeks will soon come round.

How long should I leave it before I post stats do you think? 4+3 today.

Love to all xx

Sarahlou8 · 16/02/2010 21:58

4+3. is that all? Feel like I have known forever now!

amyboo · 17/02/2010 10:47

Just back from my gynae appointment. Baby is still very much breech, so now we're seriously talking about options... ECV will be done around 37 weeks, and if that doesn't work, I'll be having an elective CS at 39 weeks. Not really what I had planned for my first baby, but I guess it's what's best for him and me that's important.

Hope everyone in those nervous first weeks is doing OK. The waiting is horrible isn't it? It's so nice to see so many people on here though.

And a list update:

Cheepz · 17/02/2010 11:09

quick question

when one does the list do you update everyone elses dates too...just checking before I add myself!

all well here for now, knicker checking is frantic - its like you almost expect there to be spotting

becky78 · 17/02/2010 11:29

Hi ladies,

Hoping to move myself back on to the list from the MIA list. Just been to midwife appointment as 28 weeks today and all is well. Baby has dilated right kidney so have been booked in for another scan at 34 weeks but they didn't seem too concerned so trying not to let it worry me either.

I don't get to post much as I tend to follow the threads on my phone and adding messages is a bit fiddly. Have been following you all every day though and congrats to all of you who have made it onto this thread recently, especially boodle and lee who have been round twice since I first posted on the ttc thread.

Just wanted to say that this will be my first baby and following a mc every stage seems incredibly nerve wracking but knowing you guys are all in the same boat and that it isn't just me being completely irrational about things has been a massive support.

cheepz - good question about the list - if you get an answer could someone add me back in? I fit between memory and meita. Details are baby #1, 28 weeks, due 12th May

I'll keep following and I'm sure once my maternity leave kicks in I'll be posting a lot more too (although hoping to move house before the baby arrives [slightly mad emoticon] so that might interfere a bit!). In the meantime best of luck all - can't wait to hear from totally to know that we have had one person go from m/c right through to baby on this thread!
