Hi guys, I've finally got a physio appointment for a few weeks time. Woohoo

Got 4d scan tomorrow and can't wait!! I'll let you all know how it goes.

Good luck with the scan amy xx

amyboo · 22/11/2009 15:19

Any news on the 4d scan totally? Hope it went OK. Congrats on finally getting the physio appointment as well - that must be a relief.

Starting to worry about the scan on Tuesday. Am terrified that they'll tell me something's wrong...

TotallyAndUtterlyPaninied · 22/11/2009 19:45

Amy don't worry. I got well het up over the 20 week scan and it was fine. Had an emergency scan on Mon and all fine again, then had 4d scan on Sat and it was amazing. I'd totally recommend it.

Baby was already 2lb 7oz by yesterday! She was 2lb last Monday so she's growing fast bless her. Hopefully that means if she was born she'd be ok as my sis's baby was 1 lb 11 oz and she's ok.

Baby's definately a g irl and she's got the cutest button nose. She's gorgeous and looks just like her daddy and brother lol.

So I'm all cloud 9 today. 4 weeks til the xmas hols and then only another 4 weeks at work after that

Scan man said baby is measuring 27 weeks and 4days when it should have been 26 weeks and 3 days... so does my due date change?

hoops997 · 22/11/2009 20:00

totally that's absolutely fab! 2 lb 7oz already that' great that she's growing so well...... so would you recommend having a 4D scan then? I'm still in 2 minds, my family are dead against them but I don't know.

amy don't worry about your 20 week scan chick I was terrified but because my bladder was so full thats all I could think about, it's great seeing a fully formed baby in there, will be thinking of you on Tuesday

TotallyAndUtterlyPaninied · 22/11/2009 20:04

hoops- I totally recommend the 4d scan. I was a little but it's such a fantastic experience. You just get to watch them kick around and do the cutest things for ages. Our little girl was scratching her head with her toes even the sonographer was laughing at her. You can see they have cute button noses and the fingers and toes just look amazing but you can't see exactly what they look like IYSWIM. Just certain characteristics. I'd go every day if I could Most of it's actually in 2d and just parts are in 4d.

amyboo · 24/11/2009 11:01

Just got back from my scan. Everything was fine and I'm having a boy! Very exciting! They found one small anomaly on one kidney - apparently it's very common. It's a small cavity that helps shunt urine to the bladder. Apparently it's a bit larger than normal on our baby, so will need monitoring. It's not serious though - just might cause UTI's when the baby is small, but should require no further intervention, and should close up either before birth or by the time he is 2 years old.

Such a relief to know that everything's OK!

hoops997 · 24/11/2009 11:16

amyboo that's fab, is there anythere different about us?! Glad to hear that everything is ok, it's great seeing your little baby on screen isn't it? Are you a lot more relaxed about your pregnancy now? I know I am, when is your next appointment? Mines next monday, will have another listen in and get issued my MAT B1 form, woo hoo

Did you get some cool pics? Have you seen all the boy's on our ante natel thread?

I'm so happy for you xx

memorylapse · 24/11/2009 12:07

fantastic news about all the scans

Totally..glad you finally have a physio appt.

Im 17 weeks today..no appt for 20 week scan yet as they dont send them out until just before.
got a lot of stress going on at home as our landlord has come back from the far east and wants his house back

amyboo · 24/11/2009 12:34

I know - it's a bit wierd isn't it hooops?

I have a follow-up appointment with the gynae on Friday morning to check blood pressure, etc, and then will apparently need another scan around 28 weeks to if check the kidney "dilation" on the baby has grown or not. Not sure if I'll have any appointments between then or not...

We haven't got great photos, as the baby was in a funny position and wouldn't really move (despite much pushing and prodding from the ultrasound technician), so they couldn't get a decent sideways photo. We got lots of photos of the head, legs, spine, etc on CD Rom but I can't figure out how to get them off the CD

Definitely feeling a little more relaxed about the pregnancy now. I thought I might have jinxed things by getting baby stuff off my sister-in-law already.

Can you post the link for the ante-natal thread you're on hoops? I might pluck up the courage to join now....

Jacanne · 24/11/2009 18:36

Glad to hear about all the positive scans - I'm supposed to be seeing the MW on Thurs and am dreading that they wont be able to find a heart beat (haven't managed to relax yet) I had that at 17 weeks with my youngest and ended up spending 4 hours at the hospital waiting for a 5 min appointment where they did find it! I am half longing for and half dreading the 20 week scan - am 17 weeks on Thursday - three weeks to go.

shinyred · 24/11/2009 20:19

hi everyone. found out last monday that im pregnant. all very excited. but in tuesday i started bleeding until friday nothin major but enough to put the fear of god in me.. going to see doctors tmora im well worried..

hoops997 · 24/11/2009 22:03

amyboo this our ante-natal thread here come and join our mega long list of boys!!

TotallyAndUtterlyPaninied · 25/11/2009 05:06

Hi all.

Jacanne- I was always up the hospital for hours with DS, I've avoided apart from twice this pregnancy and I'm 27 weeks. Once was for the heartbeat and once was an emergency scan due to bleeding.

Shiny- Congratulations. Was it heavy blood and was it red or black? black can just be old bits coming out. I had a little bleed this pregnancy and they said it was my erosion on my cervix, so nothing to do with baby. Hope it's the same for you. Fingers crossed

Memory- we get our 20 week scan appointment at our 12 week scan here! What if you need to get it off work?

Hoops- then 4 weeks after your Mat B 1 you'll get your health in pregnancy grant forms. I haven't been back for mine yet, don't want to end up spending it on xmas prezzies, I want to spend it on a double buggy. Maybe put it towards a P&T sport.

Amy- congrats! Is everyone here having a boy but me? Shall we make a list again? Add your details girlies.

Totally- GIRL- 27 weeks- due 24th Feb
Amy- BOY
Hoops- BOY

Yes I am on here at 5am, I've been up since 4. Got really bad stomach ache and I'm worried about work, having a naff time there. Hope it gets better over coming weeks or else I wont want to go back after maternity leave!

hoops997 · 25/11/2009 11:36

Hello ladies, yeah a list sounds fab......I can fill in both mine and amy's details...

Totally- GIRL- 27 weeks- due 24th Feb
Amy- BOY 21+5 weeks - due 02 April
Hoops- BOY 21+5 weeks - due 02 April

hope everyone is feeling great, I'm not, am off work today cause I didn't feel well within myself today, I have also been sick, not pleasant but then I haven't been sick/nauseas at all, so maybe it's catching up with me now!!

memorylapse · 25/11/2009 12:24

congrats shinyred..try not to panic..it could be implantation bleeding.

Totally..yes its a bit of a nightmare that the scan appt is so last min..oh well ho hum..I do know that it will be no later than 22nd december.

I saw my MW yesterday and heard the HB again..Im 17+1 today and the midwife was shocked by how big my bump is..its already above my belly button and measuring 22 weeks...MW could feel that baby was curled up on my right side..as it was firmer..strangely all my children seemed to favour that side of my womb

amyboo · 25/11/2009 15:51

Hello to shineyred

Thanks for adding me to the list hoops Sorry to hear you're not feeling great today though - hope it's just a passing sickness bug or something.

I'm spending the afternoon sitting at home waiting for the new washing machine to be delivered. The old ones keeps sporadically throwing water across the kitchen floor, so we figured we'd better change it before baby comes along. Why do delivery people always make you wait forever?

Glad the midwife appointment was good memory. It seems a shame you don't know your scan date yet though. Hope it's soon.

becky78 · 25/11/2009 16:00

Hi girls, I've been following this thread and the TTC one for a while but not posted as talking about it too much feels a bit like tempting fate. amyboo · 30/11/2009 08:45

Great news jacanne. And good news about the scan date memory. Glad everything was OK on Thursday - that must have been a bit horrible.

Everything's going well with me. Feeling movement quite a lot now, which is nice, and my bump seems to getting bigger almost every day! Off to hunt out some new clothes at lunchtime...

TotallyAndUtterlyPaninied · 03/12/2009 19:27

Hi Girls,

Had some bad news yesterday- baby has an irregular heartbeat. They said if I had been further than 28 weeks they would have delievered.

I'm being sent to a specialist hospital to see what's going on with her heart. Got a good few days/weeks of hospital ahead of me.

Very scared and just glad she is so active.

Homebirth out of the window not that I'm bothered, I just want her to come out safely and not yet!!

Hope everyone else is ok x

hoops997 · 03/12/2009 20:13

I'm sorry to hear about your LO totally, I hope that she does come out safely xx

well it has been a bit of a day for me as well!! I hadn't felt mini-hoops move since 9pm last night and that was at midday today, so I phoned my midwife who said right get yourself in and we'll have a little listen in, so went feeling very worried but he was in there and hiding, anyway just coming out of the hospital and twisted to pick my keys up and pulled a muscle in my back!! So took myself to the docs and he has signed me off work for a bloody week, it never rains it pours............

And to top the lot off, doc said he misdiagnosed me a few weeks ago, when I went in complaining of feeling like rubbish, he didn't check my blood results properly and I have needed iron tablets for nearly 3 weeks!!! I was told to deal with the tiredness cause it's all part and parcel of pregnancy, so have struggled on, hopefully now I should start feeling better......

Anyway enough about me, needed a bit of a rant....

How is everyone else?
