hi all thought i'd check in with all! I'm now 8+3 and got booking in appointment tomorrow.

Feeling sick morning til night and have thrown up everyday for a week! Guess that is good news but not sure I agree when I'm head first over the loo!

Hope everyone else is doing ok

hoops997 · 08/11/2009 16:42

hello everybody, checking in.......I'm now 19+2 and feeling great, apart from itchy nipples....they drive me up the wall!!

I have my 20 week scan this coming Friday and I absolutely can't wait.......I bought one of those Angelsounds doppler things the other day and it's fab......I know that most people won't agree and say that they are bad especially with what happened to the lady that lost a baby cause she couldn't feel her baby move and checked the fetal heartbeat but picked up her own and never went to the hospital to get checked out.......but I think just as long as you are sensible with it, it's fine.

I have been feeling junior move a little bit now and each time brings a huge grin to my face, looking forward to seeing my little baby on Friday at the scan.....

Anyway enough about me, ope everyone else is feeling ok

memorylapse · 08/11/2009 20:34

Im still here 14+5 now...I now hear the HB when I see the MW which is wonderfully reassuring.

hope everyone is ok?
Hoops..re the doppler..if you ever have any worries about baby not moving, its always best to go to hospital as even if you picked up the heartbeat..its no substitute for a well being scan or CTG. Thats so sad that she thought the HB was her babies as the fetal HB and maternal one are usually very easy to differentiate.
must confess Ive hired a fetal doppler

Im very of you being nearly 20 weeks

Im off for a GTT on tuesday as Ive had glucose in my wee 2 weeks running..not looking forward to the fasting

hoops997 · 08/11/2009 20:42

glad to hear you're still with us memory it's such a lovely sound those galloping horses isn't it?, my mother has heard it and she was surprised at how good the sound quality was, it was as good as the midwives one at my 14 week check-up.

Excuse my ignorance but what is GTT....am I being really thick?

It won't be long til you're 20 weeks, the 8 weeks between scans has gone mega-quick and I have been counting the days!!

TotallyAndUtterlyPaninied · 08/11/2009 21:29

Woohoo everyone's coming back to the thread! We need to make it our mission to check in more often guys as I cannot believe how far on everyone is now! It's flown!

I'm 25 weeks and suddenly going 'oh my lord, I haven't even sorted xmas let alone got things sorted for the new baby arrrghh!'.

Glad things are going well for everyone, don't forget to broadcast to us the sex of the baby if you find out.

I'm busy writing my maternity leave letter so better go... speak soon.

memorylapse · 08/11/2009 21:50

Hoops..I love that sound..very easily different to the slow whoosh of my pulse..
GTT is glucose tolerence test..possibility of me having Gestational Diabetes..I hope not.

almost 15 weeks and still feeling sick..although not actually throwing up now.
Totally..wow cant beleive you are 25 weeks already..I can remember buying DD;S pram and car seat at 26 weeks, everything felt quite real then

amyboo · 09/11/2009 08:16

OOoh hoops you're so lucky having your 20 week scan this Friday. Out here they like to do it between 21 and 22 weeks, so I don't have mine till Tuesday 24th Can you feel movement already? I haven't reallt felt anything yet - should I be worrying? Like you, I'm 19+3 today. I keep feeling a sort of hardening of my tummy area, and occasional kind of bubbly feeling, but no actual movement yet... Argh - does the worry ever end?

Glad to hear you're still going strong memory and bluesnow although sorry to hear you're both still feeling sick. Hope you start feeling better soon.

hoops997 · 09/11/2009 11:00

amyboo I had the bubbling feeling last week and now can feel definate movements, the 24th will come really quickly......I am so excited about my scan, my DP can't come but I have my Mother and sister tagging along. I can't wait to find out if junior is a he or a she.

I also find out the severity of my bi-cornate uterus, if it's too severe then I will probably have to have a c-section at around 32-34 weeks, lets hope that all will be ok

I have a definate bump now and all my work colleauges keep laughing at me and singing 'who ate all the pies' which is funny at the moment but will get grating towards the end no doubt!!!

Anyway I hope everyone is ok, I'm off work today due to feeling like rubbish and have a slighty raised temperature......uuuurrrgghh!!

Jacanne · 09/11/2009 16:14

Hi - lovely to see all these messages and to hear that you're all doing well. Amyboo I didn't feel either of my daughters until after the 20 week scan. Having said that I think I have felt the odd movement with this one - just about once a day - I do have the tightenings (though tbh I've been having them right from about 6 weeks). I think my placenta was at the front with my youngest dd which meant I didn't feel stuff as early - this time round it's at the back so perhaps that accounts for me feeling it a little earlier. 14 weeks now still utterly paranoid though.

amyboo · 09/11/2009 16:19

OOOh - 14 weeks already jacanne. Time is flying by!

Thanks for the reassurances about movement everyone. I'm sure it's all OK as my rapidly growing middle seemd to confirm, but I can't help worrying...

memorylapse · 09/11/2009 17:35

Im 15 weeks tomorrow, still feeling sick!
Definitely feeling delicate little movements..heard HB again today, MW put the doppler straight onto my tummy and picked it up immediately!, no pressing and rooting around..that re assurred me that (hopefully) baby is growing well.
Ive given in gracefully and bought some loose trousers..Ive got a very obvious bump now..but I guess my tummy muscles are a tad slack

Jacanne · 09/11/2009 18:54

I'm still feeling sick too Memory - though not every day now - just thrown up thanks to the smell of cat food - very unpleasant! I havent seen the MW since my booking in scan - she doesn't want to see me until I'm about 18 weeks I think so no doppler for me. There is a bump though - I already know my stomach muscles are crap so it's not a suprise.

memorylapse · 09/11/2009 19:04

ewww I think cat food would make me barf too..must admit..I still cant stand the smell of washing powder and fabric softner

memorylapse · 11/11/2009 16:22

15+1 and I have a huge bump overnight

Had a glucose tolerence test yesterday and Ive got gestational diabetes

Jacanne · 11/11/2009 16:30

Ah, bad luck Memory - it would have been nice if you'd had an uncomplicated rest of your pregnancy. Still at least you known and can stop it being a problem. I have a couple of friends who had it and they and their babies have been fine.

I have a GTT book for Feb due to family history - am a bit concerned about the size of my bump though - it is rather huge but that could be 3rd baby and 2 sections resulting in complete lack of stomach muscles

memorylapse · 11/11/2009 16:44

Jacanne..I think C sections do tend to mess up your tummy muscles and your womb never quite goes back to its pre pregnancy size(according to my MW)

hoops997 · 13/11/2009 20:57

hello ladies, just checking in, had my 20 week scan today and it was fab!! I'm having a little boy and everything was perfect, I saw everything down to 10 little toes, didn't start too well cause junior was lying face down so she couldn't get a good enough view so had to go for a walk and a cup of tea, when I got back he was on his back and she was able to see everything.

Got loads of pictures, when I get a minute I'm going to upload some onto my profile so you can see mini-hoops!!

How is everyone else getting on? Hope you all are well x

memorylapse · 13/11/2009 21:08

thats fab news hoops..looking forward to seeing pics.

Im feeling a bit rotten today..although sickness has eased off I find I seem to have some sort of hormone surge every friday so today I feel quite nauseas again.
Im a bit miffed to find that our health authority dont scan until 221-22 weeks so I wont get my scan till after christmas.
Ive got my appt through for the diabetic clinic for next weds..am keeping fingers crossed that I wont need insulin

hoops997 · 13/11/2009 21:29

hello again, pictures now on profile page

memorylapse · 13/11/2009 21:42

fantastic pics hoops..and loads of them too!

Jacanne · 14/11/2009 10:00

Glad it all went well Hoops - fantastic pictures

TotallyAndUtterlyPaninied · 14/11/2009 21:34

Yay, Hoops, boy, congratulations.

Hope everyone is ok and sorry to hear about the gestational diabetes I'm starting to wonder if that's what I've got

I'm poorly sick today. Feel dreadful. I'm run down, bmp has suddenly got ridiculously massive to the point that people have gone past the 'oh is it twins' comments and are really starting to ask questions. I'm only nearly 26 weeks and I look literally 9 months. The muscles in my stomach have pulled like mad and it feels all bruised. Everything's aching, I feel like I can hardly walk.

I've still been turned away for SPD physio and counselling on the grounds they 'can't fit' me in

So I'm on a huge whinge. Looking forward to 4d scan a week today though.

hoops997 · 15/11/2009 15:36

hi everyone, hope you all are having a very chilled weekend, sorry to hear you are poorly sick totally hope you feel better soon. I bet you can't wait for your 4D scan, i'm in 2 minds whether to have one of these......I might use the Health in Pregnancy Grant money for it

Is anyone having scans this week? If so good luck

memorylapse · 16/11/2009 11:45

Totally..sorry to hear you are not well, rest if you can , maybe get checked out at the doctors if you dont feel any better

I had a scan last week at 15 weeks, baby looked more like a baby with a little button nose and was sucking its thumb

Not sure when Ill get my anomaly scan appt through as they dont do them round here until 21-22 weeks.

amyboo · 17/11/2009 09:03

OOOoh hoops - a boy! That's fab news! Congratulations. Lovely photos as well... I have my scan a week today - I'll be 21+5. Can't wait to find out the sex. I'm definitely feeling movement now though - keep feeling the occasional bubbly type sensation in my tummy, and dh was able to feel it last night, so I can't be imagining it!

Sorry to hear you're feeling so rough totally. Really sucks that you're not getting the physio you need.
