GiPi - to hear your news. Look after yourself.

Sunnydale · 28/09/2009 20:01

Gipi so sorry to hear your sad news. Hope you are being looked after - stay away from anyone who might not be kind enough to you, and have plenty of snuggles with your DCs. Thoughts are with you xxx

amyboo · 29/09/2009 12:53

It's very quiet on here at the moment. How is everyone getting on? I'm still exhausted, but the other symptoms seem to be easing up a bit. Hoping the tiredness might go away soon...

memorylapse · 29/09/2009 13:31

im still exhausted and sick..am 8+3now..had a private scan on sunday and all looked ok..bean was actually wriggling..and I heard the heartbeat..got some lovely pics too

amyboo · 29/09/2009 15:55

That's great news memory! especially after the scares you've had. Glad the private scan was worth it, but sorry to hear you're feeling so rough.

TotallyAndUtterlyPaninied · 30/09/2009 19:46

Hi all so glad there's still some of us about!! Thought this thread had gone. Glad things have gone well memory.

I have my 20 week scan next week. Can't believe it's 20 weeks already! Baby is kickin hell outa me tonight and I have bad braxton hicks.

This pregnancy has flown.

Amy- how are things for you?

amyboo · 01/10/2009 08:02

Wow - 20 weeks already totally? Time does seem to have flown! How are you getting on? Are you still suffering?

I'm doing OK. Starting to get a bit of a bump and have taken to wearing bands to hold my trousers up. I'm also getting bad backache from sitting at my desk all day, so I think I might have to get the ergonomics peole to come and rearrrange my office... Still panicking regularly that this one might all go wrong again, but I haven't got another gynae appointment for 2.5 weeks. I'm hoping the tiredness, aching back, boobs and small bump are all good signs.

TotallyAndUtterlyPaninied · 01/10/2009 10:38

I'm fine at the mo thanks, got SPD but I don't care!lol. Happy enough though a little schitzey with hormones. Walked in on my boss slagging me off just after I told her I was pregnant, it was awful.

You've definately got good signs! How many weeks are you now? Have you started to think about the birth yet?

amyboo · 01/10/2009 10:59

I'm nearly 14 weeks. Trying not to think about the birth part, as this will be DC1 and I don't want to scare myself!

Sorry to hear you've got SPD and a mean boss. Are you going to find out the sex at your next scan? I can't wait to find out (am generally rubbish with surprises).

memorylapse · 01/10/2009 19:32

Totally, cant beleive you walked in on your boss slagging you off..how very unprofessional of her.
amyboo..I cant wait to be 14 weeks, hopefully the sickness will have eased off by then

amyboo · 02/10/2009 11:50

Totally (and anyone else on here who's not on DC1) - any idea if abdominal pains are normal around 14 weeks? For the last couple of days I seem to be having periods of sharp pains just above my pelvic bone. It seems to be worse when I've sat at my desk for a while and then get up to move around or something. Is this normal? Not sure whether to ring my gynae...

memorylapse · 02/10/2009 14:18

amyboo-Im already getting pains like that and remember having them with my last couple of pregs, I think its ligament pain, sometimes its catches me when I stand up after sitting down..

amyboo · 02/10/2009 14:49

Thanks so much for your response memory. I don't know what I'd do without this site sometimes!

TotallyAndUtterlyPaninied · 03/10/2009 17:50

amyboo- I got told it was ligament pain and the baby moving up out of the pelvis. The pains r horrible arn't they? Hope you're ok.

Definately going to find the sex out this week eeek can't wait. If they can't see, I've got a 4d scan booked anyway so will find out at that.

Memory- the boss has been nice as pie since, she can be a cow at times and apprently she had to have a hysterectomy young so I wonder if that's part of it. She hasn't got any kids. How far on are you now?

I was in pure agony last night, couldn't move in bed as my back and groins had sort of locked. Thought would have to get a doctor out today but it eased through the night. It's still not pleasant though.

It's my birthday today, yay Having a lovely day

amyboo · 04/10/2009 11:45

Happy birthday totally

Jacanne · 04/10/2009 11:49

So sorry to hear about your bean GiPi - loads of hugs to you.

I am still here and hopefully my bean is too - still having symptoms but not as strong as with the one I lost. I have my 12 week scan on the 20th - so d-day is then.

I'm glad things are going well with everyone else - glad the private scan showed good news memory

hoops997 · 04/10/2009 14:04

Hi amyboo I'm having these horrible pains but it's only in my right side, I know exactly what you mean, they are quite strong and painful when you stand up........I spoke to my midwife about these and she said that they are good as it means everything is stretching and growing and that she would be more worried if I wasn't getting some sort of pains.........hope this helps a bit.

It's still worrying though isn't it?

Happy Birthday totally

Hope everyting is going well for everyone

memorylapse · 04/10/2009 14:16

Happy Birthday Totally..Im 9+1 now..the 12 week mark is just visible in the distance..had to go for a meal last night to celebrate DM's 60th birthday..I took my cyclizine tablets and even managed some of my dinner..although I stopped eating it when I saw the chicken was pink..eww..hopefully I didnt eat any of the pink bits.

as soon as I got home..I threw up..but at least I sat through the meal.
Ive been quite violently sick this morning, so much so that I could feel the pressure on my pelvic floor from my stomach muscles going crazy...Im sure it cant be good..just something else for me to worry about along with getting listeria from the chicken!

TotallyAndUtterlyPaninied · 04/10/2009 18:30

Thank you, hade a lovely day.

Memory- 12 weeks is approaching fast (and Jacanne too!!) Can't believe how ill you are what a shame!! I don't know what to suggest, I always felt sick but was rarely actually sick IYSWIM. Hope you're ok.

Hoops- my pregnancies have been full of aches and pains and I think it's a positive thing. The baby will be kicking soon and you'll be able to chill out and enjoy a small person jumping on your bladder

hoops997 · 04/10/2009 18:54

totally I can't wait to feel this little baby kick, it still doesn't feel real and I'm 14+2 today.....

Glad you had a good day

memorylapse · 04/10/2009 18:54

Totally..I just feel constantly sick.... feel guilty because DH is having to do everything..from the school run, to the housework and go to work too..he is worn out and pretty grumpy today...but as I pointed out to him..its partly his fault that Im so poorly!

amyboo · 05/10/2009 12:09

I know what you mean about it still not feeling real hoops. I've got a bump, but it's only really enough for me and DH to notice, so I really sometimes wonder if everything's still going along as it should. I can't wait to start feeling movement!

Thanks also for the reassurance about the pains. They seem to be a bit better today. They seem to be worse when I sit in one position for a while and then move.

Really sorry to hear you're feeling so sick memory - must be horrible.

Big wave to jacanne - glad to hear you're still going strong. The 20th is only a couple of weeks away, but I bet you wishe it was this week already. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. How are you feeling apart from that?

Hope you had a nice birthday totally?

I finally seem to be getting a bit of energy back. Haven't yawned once yet today and I've been in a dull meeting all morning
