I'm 36 weeks and so bloody fed up now. Fed up of not being able to get comfortable, needing the toilet every 30 minutes and most of all people asking me how long to go, "ooh haven't you popped yet?", "It could be another 6 weeks yet if you go over". ARGH!!!!!

So I thought I'd start a thread for all us pregnant ladies who are fed up of waiting. I know there was one a few weeks ago but I couldn't find it.

Thanks everyone - we love her to bits! We bathed her again 2nite - she didnt cry this time, think she actually enjoyed it! This means her hair has gone even more punky now! Plus its started to go curly at the ends - i think its growing already! Dont tell me shes going to need a haircut soon!

Congratulations to you Jen! Sorry to hear it was a little complicated but so glad that shes here ok!

Kay - keep plodding on, it'll soon be your turn!!!

I'm 34 weeks and already seriously fed up. Pregnancy this time (2nd) has been difficult all the way through and I am a moaning, miserable, enormous cow 90% of the time!

kayzisexpecting · 06/12/2008 08:06

Mumnanny1, I honestly think that having DS already is part of the reason I have found this pregnancy so much harder. When I was expecting him, I could laze around, have little naps and had much more energy. But now he wants playing with and he has so much energy.

Hi All, 34 weeks tomorrow and am soooo struggling. Nothing too eventful with this pregnancy, but have a DD, who needs looking after etc so know exactly where you are coming from Kayz.
I have come down with a rotten cold aswell, so all in all feel and look like poo.
Enuf moaning from me, but do feel better for it !!!
Not long to go Kayz...you can do it.

hkz · 06/12/2008 21:10

Hello mumnanny1, kay, mppaw, I hear what you are saying....please excuse the following moan...
I am sooo fed up too...I am 34 weeks +5, have a 19month old dd and am completely over this pregnancy. It seems so much harder this time physically...and two weeks to go til maternity leave starts...and I am the size of a whale this time! Hearburn, back ache, pain in ribs, going to loo a million times in the night , piles (tmi...sorry!)...blah blah blah...
Thank you...thats better..

kayzisexpecting · 08/12/2008 21:13

I was having proper painful contractions earlier. They have bloody stopped! I want to cry!!!

I have had a bath and covered my bump in Clary Sage. I'm going to make sure we have sex tonight. How unfair that it seems to start and then stop.

any new arrivals on this thread? I am 39+ something and ready now!! I always go over so not too hopeful it's imminent!

babylove123 · 11/12/2008 22:49

Kay - thats what i had, a false labour - was having 4 min contractions for 8 hours, went to hospital and was on labour ward and everything, then it all stopped! Started again 9 hours later and was back to the 4 min mark a further 9 hours later.....keep plodding on!!!

Kelly7 · 14/12/2008 10:25

Me? I'm bloody tired, grumpy (or evil) depending on whether you're 11 year old son or (partner) lol
Sick of needing the loo and not being able to sleep..wake up at 12 and can't sleep till 4-5 am
This is my third and i was NEVER this grumpy.
Spent ageeesss waiting for maternity leave to start, had very grand plans about what i was going to do with time off, none of which has happened, got all day in the house but still get nothing done.. sick of daytime tv, only so much i can take of the jeremy kyle show haha
I want my baby!!

ShirleyL · 16/12/2008 12:29

Hi all, I was due yesterday, feeling huge, two of my friend who were due after me have just had their babies. Had a scan yesterday head nowhere near engaged, cervix is closed but soft so i'm hoping thats a good thing. Midwife said she would do a sweep later in the week. This is my second dc and really don't want to be waiting another two weeks.
Have tried sex, curries and pineapple. Just bought some clary sage oil but don't know what to do with it.
Just want my baby out!!!

Kelly7 · 16/12/2008 12:51

Hi Shirley, im due today and in very much same position, Ive resorted to skipping up and down my hallway!!!

My midwife isnt due to see me until Friday - so im hoping they give me a sweep - do you think they will?

Ive had enough now - the thought of going another 12 days! ;(

ShirleyL · 16/12/2008 13:35

Hi kelly, well they were going to give me one yesterday but the consultant said there wasn't any point because nothing was happening and it wouldn't do any good. You could get them to check anyway. I would love to have it over and be home for Christmas

babylove123 · 17/12/2008 13:25

Hey,

I went overdue and was having false starts, bh's etc. I had a sweep which helped but didnt kick it off. I thought i was in early labour so i decided to see if i could help things along - i got gardening! It was raining and there i was 40+3 weeding, digging etc, everyone thought i was mad but it made the contractions stronger and she was born 36 hrs later! That was nearly 3 weeks ago.

Worth a shot?!

deebs21 · 03/06/2009 19:26
