I'm 36 weeks and so bloody fed up now. Fed up of not being able to get comfortable, needing the toilet every 30 minutes and most of all people asking me how long to go, "ooh haven't you popped yet?", "It could be another 6 weeks yet if you go over". ARGH!!!!!

So I thought I'd start a thread for all us pregnant ladies who are fed up of waiting. I know there was one a few weeks ago but I couldn't find it.

I have a kidney infection!! Again 3rd one this pregnancy. The pain is smiliar to contractions but it is constent so I knew it wasn't labour but the out of hours gp said it was labour and made me go to the labour ward. The MWs checked I wasn't having contractions and then sent me to the GP in the hospital. I felt so bad that I had to go to the labour ward. I was secretly hoping it was labour though.

I am 40+3 and feeling so fed up it is unreal!
Just WISH this baby would come so I can eat, walk, sleep again!
Actually the sleep thing is the worst at the moment! I was up this morning at 4.30am and so I am really tired and grumpy now. Just waiting until I can "sleep when the baby sleeps" after it EVENTUALLY comes!!!!! [grrr emoticon]

mabel1973 · 17/11/2008 12:23

Kayz - what a nightmare for you, hope you are feeling better?

pookamoo - are you booked in for a sweep or anything?
I had reflexology on friday and I had the best nights sleep I have had in weeks on friday night...maybe worth a try?
I know when I have a bad nights sleep i think to myself, well I can't give birth today because I am already far too exhausted!

mad4mybaby · 17/11/2008 12:37

i had a curry sat night and was seriously tasty but i couldng be bothered to waste having a hot curry which i hate so i had a lovely mild korma! mmmmmmmm

I have just had my 3rd reflexology and she said there were def things going on(duh!) and she has 'done' the points to encourage labour and that if it IS going to work it could do something within the next couple hours or next few days.... With ds1 i had it done and was in full on labour 12 hours later with a 4 hour labour so i feel it def helped then...

i found the reason why the top of bump is flabby, he has turned his position literally flopped himself over so facing the opp way and is really curled up...

JennysMummy · 17/11/2008 13:00

mabel1973 I'm the same way.. I hope every night that the BH will turn into the real thing but no such luck! I hope the sweep works for you.

mad4mybaby I hope the reflexology gets things moving for you! I actually did a course in reflexology but it's a bit awkward performing it on myself, especially with the bump in the way! I've tried acupressure though.. not that it seems to have done much.

These babies need to come out now!!

cravingchocolate · 17/11/2008 13:05

So glad that I am not the only one! Currently 37 weeks with number 3 and have number 1 at home with a temperature and just collected number 2 from nursery who is tired and stroppy - should be a fun afternoon! Got to take both of them with me when I go to see the midwife this afternoon.

I too am going to commit GBH to the next person who tells me that they can't believe that I haven't had it yet!

Good luck to everyone waiting!!

babylove123 · 17/11/2008 13:40

Can i join in?! Due this friday date wise, next monday hospital date wise. I've started having some "shows" so i want her out! Just had lunch so will wait a while but will get bouncing on the ball in an hour or so - see if that gets her going!

Am sick of the raspberry leaf tea - it is so gross! Cant find the capsules locally though - grrrr!

kayzisexpecting · 17/11/2008 13:41

Yeah I am feeling better now thanks Mabel. The anti-biotics work really fast.

I'm 37 weeks on Friday and I don't even want to think I'm not due for another 3 weeks yet. I'm just so tired and I can't get even slightly comfortable.

babylove - i think there is a national shortage of raspeberry leaf tea capsules!, I tried both our local Holland and barrett stores, but they were sold out, ended up finding them in a little independant health store.

babylove123 · 17/11/2008 17:34

Yeh i tried holland and barrett too - they said they were sold out! Indeed, must be a national shortage!

I might ring the local health food store and see if they have any - probably not!

mad4mybaby · 17/11/2008 19:42

the best cand cheapest place to buy them is ebay ladies, i know this as i stocked up a while back and arnice for after

mad4mybaby · 18/11/2008 16:47

cant believe no one has been on here today! Does that mean your all off having babies???

JennysMummy · 18/11/2008 18:30

Sadly no baby here yet. I have a sweep booked for next wednesday & I saw a consultant today who said he'd induce me in two weeks' time (when I'm 41+2) if I haven't had her by then!

It's DD1's 2nd birthday tomorrow so for the first time I'm actually hoping DD2 doesn't make her appearance yet.. I doubt they'd appreciate having to share a birthday when they're older!

mad4mybaby · 18/11/2008 19:25

no, prob not! My 2yr old ds is very poorley and has just projectile vomited across the kitchen so i too am hoping no labour within next 24 hours or so!

kayzisexpecting · 18/11/2008 19:57

I wish Mad4 but no such luck.

I was having BH's this morning and I had my fingers crossed and had 2 cups of raspberry leaf tea to try and turn it into real labour.

No babies yet then.

I have convinced myself now that it is ages away! Although I had a dream where my sister told me that I would give birth this Sunday .

With previous two, I always thought I would be early and first was three days late and second on her due date. So this time I am being realistic and not getting too excited.

I picked up dd1 from school on Friday and her teacher came running out in front of all the other parents and said "I hear you are having your baby tomorrow, AND you came in and helped this morning!" Dd1 just stood there grinning...

Does anyone find that their BHs are at the same time each day. Do you think this will reflect time of day labour will really start?

mabel1973 · 19/11/2008 09:51

No baby here!
jenski - my BH are always in the evenings, but it is the only time i seem to get to relax....and then they start!

I have reflexology booked in again for friday, so I am hoping it might move things along and so avoid my sweep on sunday.

I managed approx 2 hours sleep last night...i am exhausted...thank god for cbeebies....

babylove123 · 19/11/2008 12:20

No baby here yet - bounced around on the ball last night and thought that it was finally beginning - got the contractions etc, as soon as i went to bed, it all stopped! Mind you, baby decided to go crazy - i was crying with pain, when she starts kicking and moving like hell - i just sob and scream! I want her out!!!!

kayzisexpecting · 19/11/2008 17:09

No baby here. Been really ill all day though, but I'm not getting my hopes up.

I am so bloody sick of it though and I'm only 37 weeks on Friday, could have another 5 weeks of this.

OP posts:
babylove123 · 19/11/2008 20:06

Kay - i was the same as you, am now 39+5, time goes slowly but you just plod along and live in hope of it all being over soon!!!! I do anyway!

I have the raspberry leaf capsules - found a shop with stock! Started on them 2nite - am hoping they're my miracle!

mad4mybaby · 19/11/2008 20:13

im glad someone out ther at the moe. I feel so angry with the world at the moment.

babylove123 · 19/11/2008 20:20

I do too - i woke DP up in the night sobbing saying i couldnt do it anymore - i sometimes feel really annoyed with the baby - i know it is just hormones but still, it isnt nice. I just want it over with!

mad4mybaby · 19/11/2008 20:23

i know. I think being angry at it makes it stay in there longer! I was convinced that id have him by now esp as ds1 so early (stupid theory i know) so even tho i still have 6 days until im overdue i feel it now. I cant believe how stroppy i feel right now!

kayzisexpecting · 19/11/2008 20:24

I honestly feel like I could cry all day. I have really bad heartburn and nothing works any more. I'm so uncomfy and I can't get comfortable at all. I feel so sorry for DH as he has to put up with me feeling like this.

With DS up until 3 days before he was born I felt like I could climb Everest if I wanted to.

OP posts:
mad4mybaby · 19/11/2008 20:26

its def harder 2nd time round kay. i dont feel sorry for my dh as he never here but do feel sorry for my 2yr old ds as im no fun anymore. We always use to do stuff together and we dont at the mo. I cant even sit on the floor to play with him coz of frigging spd.
