booked in for sweep in two weeks - but MW reccons it could happen anytime, just eat chillies and prunes... but not really confident about that as DS1 was sooo late.. And as if I wasn't paranoid enough about the birth, she said baby feels big !
never mind, hope you all feel better soon, maybe with a swift delivery...

Kirky12 · 27/08/2008 15:14

me too, i'm at 41 weeks and did thai curry last night, it was sooo hot but had no effect.....

bootus · 27/08/2008 17:46

Hi ladies...am still here too!!! Booked in for sweep next week, am SO over it and Cyteen go for the whinge!!!!! Fucking heartburn, fucking lack of sleep, fucking weeing every ten minutes
Had reflexology earlier...will be worth every penny if I go later but am giving up hope, think it'll be born when its a toddler. Good luck all.

bootus · 29/08/2008 08:07

Hi ladies...anyone popped yet?

MiniMarmite · 29/08/2008 09:04

Hi Ladies

Haven't had a chance to catch up with the thread yet so I hope you are all ok.

Just wanted to let you know that BabyMarmite (otherwise known as Thomas) arrived safely on Monday following an induction on Sunday afternoon after my waters broke on Friday and I had extremely irregular contractions for 2 days.

We're doing really well.

How are you all doing.

MiniMarmite - congratulations!! Glad you & MiniMiniMarmite are well! (still waiting for Baby sunflower here, but no sign of her being in any hurry...)
Enjoy little Thomas!

bootus · 29/08/2008 09:39

Thats fab news...congrats and well done Am hoping things are starting very slowly, up all night with intermittent pain and nausea but been on and off for coupla days now. Good luck to everyone waiting!!!

cyteen · 29/08/2008 10:19

Yay, congratulations Marmite and welcome to the world MiniThomas

Nothing doing here, but we're actually hoping he stays put till Monday now, new school year and all that Feeling a lot cheerier than I have done for the past two days and wishing the same to all my fellow ladies in waiting.

lollipopmother · 29/08/2008 10:53

My DP is dead set on me getting to Monday as well - due date is Thurs so I expect it'll be a doddle, but even so, I'd quite like to get on with it now!

sunflower78 · 29/08/2008 11:14

Hope things happen soon here too - if not, MW booking me for induction day before DS1 starts reception class !!! maybe I'll managed to get her to book me in a couple of days earlier....

MiniMarmite · 29/08/2008 20:48

Thanks Everyone

Good luck all of you still waiting (Bootus, sounds like things are starting so fingers crossed). I'll keep an eye on the thread and I'm sure it won't be long before all the LOs on the AWTY thread make their entrance into the world

Morning ladies... no amount of all-fours scrubbing and hot thai green curry is getting this baby out...

Hope things are better with you

bootus · 30/08/2008 10:54

Morning, I'm pretty sure I've been in very early phases for coupla nights now, strongish, fairly uncomfy pains every half hour at least. Have to take paracetamol to get sleep and feeling sick but it's been like this for 2 days now....think I'm going mad!!!!! Had curry too sunflower but nothing working! Wishing you a nice quick and easy one when it finally happens.....we deserve it after all this hanging around!
ps thanks for the support marmite....fingers crossed! x

sunflower78 · 30/08/2008 11:24

bootus, hopefully soon then! having pains too, but not regular (could get 3 in 10 mins, and then nothing for hours ...), but every half hour sounds better! fingers crossed then! i'll carry on with the scrubbing....

cyteen · 30/08/2008 12:46

I remain totally twingeless

Been feeling sick on and off, but that could just be the unbelievable heartburn

bootus · 31/08/2008 07:41

Cyteen, hope those twinges start up soon. Not that I'm wishing you pain or anything .I've beeen having contractions every 7-9 mins most of night (and all evening). Trying to convince myself they're just REEEAALLY bad braxton hicks but I think it's time to admit they're not!!! Had show last night, was rather revolted at it tbh! Might have to get that tens out, in the meantime I shall carry on eating crumpets and tea and hoping this isnt the start of a 4-day event!

cyteen · 31/08/2008 09:30

Ooh, that all sounds promising, in a gross kind of way

Something has happened at last - my waters broke around 5.30 yesterday afternoon, so I have been contracting randomly and variably ever since. Been up to the birth centre to get checked out and everything was fine, so am planning to spend today walking up and down stairs and bouncing on my birth ball in order to get things moving along Here's hoping our LOs are ready to be born at last!

lollipopmother · 31/08/2008 10:35

Bootus and Cyteen - Looks like you're both graduating from this thread then, you lucky gits! Good luck!!

Cyteen - How long are you allowed to be at home after your waters break?

sunflower78 · 31/08/2008 11:30

bootus & cyteen - you're making me sooooooo !!! Spent all day yesterday scrubbing, gardening, walking.... for just the ocasional twinge that has been teasing me for weeks now....... well, good luck, hopefully it'll happen very quickly and painlessly (as it can be..) for you !!

cyteen · 31/08/2008 11:35

lollipopmother, it's 48 hours or so here. So if nothing's happened by tomorrow morning I've got to go into hospital for augmentation, instead of being able to go to the birth centre. Am really hoping I can move things along today!

claremu · 31/08/2008 12:21

you don't HAVE TO! good luck

cyteen · 31/08/2008 12:28

Well, I know I don't have to, but tbh I'm quite open to the idea...I will only worry about him otherwise Besides, I'm as ready as I'll ever be to meet my baby and go through labour, so might as well get it over with!

bootus · 31/08/2008 19:18

Just checking in on you Cyteen, and trying to distract myself!!! Back home after hosp trip....2cm dilated, all going well but don't want to hang around for hours. Starting to bloody hurt tho, god bless the tens!!! Hoping i'll go from 3-10 nice and quickly!!!! Good luck! x

claremu · 31/08/2008 19:56

Fair enough cyteen, time it for the sunshine (if there is any!)
