I love you LVErose....I'll let you know. 25 mins and counting My poor DP is sweating over the dinner table asking if there is an ulterior motive for the heat!! He he.

LaVieEnRose · 18/08/2008 19:49

Fingers crossed!

PetitFilou1 · 18/08/2008 20:06

Bobbins is it going to work, I eat curries all the time and haven't got into labour thus far. Have never understood this theory - why do all the women in India still have 9 month pregnancies if this were true

MrsTittleMouse · 18/08/2008 21:15

DH is predicting that this one will be early (fingers crossed). I'm not sure how I'm going to hang on even if it is only 6 weeks. It's going to be a long loonnnnggggg 6 weeks if she carries on giving me jabs like she did this evening and resting in such awkward positions.
I can remember that last time, even though I had a dreadful delivery, I felt great after DD was born, just because I wasn't pregnant any more. I hope I get that again!

MiniMarmite · 18/08/2008 21:27

OK, I've had my curry (about an hour ago), so now I guess I just sit an wait...

Made a double batch so we can always have it again tomorrow (poor DH)!

Hope it works for you bootus and thanks for the encouragement LVErose

V good point petitfilou - Thai curry my favourite though so don't mind really!

MiniMarmite · 19/08/2008 09:45

Any graduations overnight to Are we there yet...maybe/nearly/yes?

OP posts:
bootus · 19/08/2008 10:38

Nope.....still waddling and weeing every 5 mins. this is tedious.....take it you're still cooking too?

cyteen · 19/08/2008 11:00

Yeah, nothing to report from me either. Still in my pyjamas - I have given up on today before it's even started

Kezza7779 · 19/08/2008 11:23

Morning all, ive com to join the rant!!!! Im 40 wks today! im SOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooooooo fed up. my back is killing me and every move the little wriggler makes is causing me 'almost' pain! My poor ribs where her knees or something are broken im sure.
We spend all this time trying to reach our due date only for nothing to happen. I have been trying reflexololgy for the last 2 weeks and have another appt today so i hope it works!!!! Also lots of sex - dont ask me how ive summoned the inclination to do this - desperation i guess. also walking, cleaning on hands and knees, nipple stim etc etc but all to no avail. AAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrgggggggghhhhhhhh.
I want her out but im scared to death about the labour!!!!!

cyteen · 19/08/2008 11:34

Welcome Kezza

My ribs are taking a beating too, always on the right hand side as well so there's a big tender spot ready and waiting for the next strike from the little bugger darling's heels.

Am impressed at your eviction efforts, especially the sex. I have been cursed with thrush pretty much all the way through this pregnancy, so can't even sate my urges because I'm too sore

MiniMarmite · 19/08/2008 11:49

Yes, still cooking bootus

Know what you mean about the weeing - I'm sure I can't have actually drunk everything that is coming out (sorry TMI)!

Talking of cooking, I've decided to bake Parkin today. Apparently it is best 2 weeks after it has been baked so by the time this LO makes an appearance I will have something to feed guests!

Going to try swimming this afternoon. Well, maybe anyway. In a bit of sitting staring into space mood really...maybe I'll just stick with the online pyjama party ...Kezza, let us know if anything actually works so we can all try it.

Hi Can i join too please, i had just written a thread about how uncomfortable i am then i saw this one and i know it not just me i think i am gonna try a really hot chilli.

PetitFilou1 · 19/08/2008 11:55

No graduation in the pf household - still here. Going to do some cleaning later maybe that will help I suspect not. Not sleeping well now and dh is very tense so he didn't sleep either - aaargh - kept rolling into me and snoring!

toomanysweeties · 19/08/2008 12:21

Can I join the pyjama party ????
I'm 39 wks today and feeling utterly miserable ! Aching all over, can't sleep at night, have feet poking up out of my left ribs and arms punching my bladder. Have a stinking cold and chest infection and my pelvis is in about 30 pieces or so it feels. Every time I move, it creaks and crunches ........................Please come out soon !!!!

I'm considering doing some cleaning later on, but if I get down on the floor, I'm not entirely convinced I'll be able to get up ! Might leave it until just before DH is due home

bootus · 19/08/2008 17:54

These responses keep me going....am sending you all mental hugs. Apparently I'm snoring awfully as well, and have the sore throat too, dp starting to look as fed up as me!!! Not even shoe shopping helped today as my toes are like sausages. Bless you for starting this mmarmite..xxx

MiniMarmite · 19/08/2008 18:20

Keeping me going too

DH says that I snore and sound like a band-saw (whatever that is, my knowledge of saws is limited) or, alternatively, a horse. Great!

The only shoes I can wear are my flip flops

We're so desperate to get labour started that we had sex at 05:30 this morning ...

DH is going to take me out for pizza tonight though so that's cool

OP posts:
bootus · 19/08/2008 21:07

I've been compared to the boiler (when the hot tap is running), various power tools and apparently would still snore even if a pillow was held over my face...hope he's joking altho if I suspect this goes on another 3 weeks then the joke may wear thin....also, how bad is this?? I've noticed I seem to dribble an awful lot in my sleep, wtf???????? The pillow is soaked everytime I wake up (every 10mins to wee). WHY do we do this????? Rant over. Thanks.

MiniMarmite · 19/08/2008 21:14

OMG, I thought it was only me dribbling...just started in the last couple of weeks...how bizarre. V dignified this pregnancy malarky!

OP posts:
bootus · 19/08/2008 22:41

he he. hope your pizza was nice....

Kezza7779 · 20/08/2008 12:55

o my god, i just started dribbling in the last few weeks too - how weird? it must be a sign!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

bootus · 20/08/2008 14:45

At least the teething phase wont be a shock ....might have to get the muslin cloths out earlier than thought.

islandlassie · 20/08/2008 15:49

35 + 2

Oh don't say that, i dribble enough as it is! (lovely i know)

Sorry for intruding but im getting fed up already! Terrible i know!

Worst is, right now i cant do anything about it. If i go into labour this early i'd get shipped off to the mainland away from family and friends!

toomanysweeties · 20/08/2008 16:00

Are we all still here or has anyone been lucky enough to pop ??? Getting more and more bh's but still nothing exciting. Friends seem to be sending me messages every hour or so asking for updates - driving me round the bend !

MiniMarmite · 20/08/2008 16:36

I'm still here...really fed up today. Went to GP for 40 week check. Have UTI and prescribed antibiotics .

Spent morning walking between home, Dr, pharmacy for various reasons. Then had lunch and a sleep (cue dribble). Now watching Inspector Morse...not very exciting murder though (partly because I missed the bit where someone had actually been murdered)!

Gosh, sorry everyone, I sound even more whingy than normal.

Pizza was good though and might go to the cinema tonight .

Let's take hope from the fact that only 15% of pregnancies go beyond 41 weeks - I've been reading my book looking for positive things to cling onto! Good luck everyone!
