WHO'S THE DADDY???

Okay, so here's the problem and please dont judge I'm pretty mad at myself as it it. I have a 28 day cycle, I had sex with Mr. A on day 12 and 13, sex with Mr. B on day 18 and sex with Mr. C on day 19. All three were unprotected. Now I'm pregnant? Who's most likely to be the daddy????

If you have an amnio or CVS can they do the paternity test then, just out of interest?

lulumama · 08/08/2008 18:27

i don;t think i am a fount of nookie related knowledge !

Hecate · 08/08/2008 18:27

tbh, I think the only decent thing you can do now is to tell them all that you are pregnant and ask them if they would consent to a dna test when the child is born.

And get yourself down to the std clinic, pronto.

Goober · 08/08/2008 18:28

I know that if you were me, it would be Mr.A.

hifi · 08/08/2008 18:28

if true how irresponsible, poor baby if there is one.

Flightputsonahat · 08/08/2008 18:29

Yes I think so MBF but you'd need to check.

I think those involve the baby's DNA somehow or it can be isolated from the cells taken. You wouldn't want to be taking cells from a foetus otherwise as it carries a risk of miscarriage etc.

Flightputsonahat · 08/08/2008 18:30

Hifi I think that's unneccesary, OP feels bad enough already.

Twiglett · 08/08/2008 18:31

disagree strongly with Flight's 14 day assertion

because it's BOLLOCKS

the 14 day bollocks that is oft quoted (including by medical bods) is not a mode (most common) but a mean (mathematical average)

chacha1976 · 08/08/2008 18:32

I ovulate on Day 14, and I'm going with Mr. A. I also want it to be Mr. A. Thanks for the advice on all other tests, I have already done so and I'm ok on all counts, I can sit here and blame all kinds of reasons for being in this position, the bottom line is that this is what the situation is and I have to deal with it. Please note that sometimes the comments you make can be very harsh and bitter to people even if you don't necessarily mean it to. You dont know what someone may be going through or what their situation may be, dont be so quick to judge, that's all im saying. Thanks to all those, who've made some constructive comments. Its greatly appreciated.

very few women have bang on 28 day cycle every month with ovulation at day 14

i thikn you have to accept that any time you have unprotected sex, you run a risk, however small, of getting pregnant

and any manner of STIs if the person is a stranger

lulumama · 08/08/2008 18:33

does Mr A know there is a chance that the baby might not be his?

Flightputsonahat · 08/08/2008 18:34

Twig thanks for your dignified comments

I am wrong about the average thing then

I was misinformed, my fault

No need to shout bollocks at me.

Chacha - sorry you felt upset and I hope you have the result you want, i know how stressful it can be so if you need further support I'm here in future xx

We are a bit nest of vipers ish sometimes...we're alright really though

Flightputsonahat · 08/08/2008 18:36

...except Twig who is horrible

solidgoldbrass · 08/08/2008 18:37

Are you in contact with all 3? This is not meant to be sneery or anything: I have had plenty of sex with people whose last names I never knew (but have always been a condom fanatic), and I would say that if one or more are people you are never likely to see again it might be best to rule them out of the equation at least for the time being. Otherwise: how is telling them going to affect your relationships with them? While the most ethical course might be to tell all three and ask them to do a DNA test, if there is a likelihood of one of them becoming abusive over the issue, best not to. Have you thought about your options regarding the PG anyway?
Unfortunately there are bound to be a few bucketheads who will post unpleasant comments on a thread like this, but you will also find plenty of support and advice.

Goober · 08/08/2008 18:38

I ovulate days: 9-13ish. So does my sister.

ElfOnTheTopShelf · 08/08/2008 18:39

are you with mr a b or c?
I'm always fascinated by threads like these, I led a very sheltered life.

ImnotMamaGbutsheLovesMe · 08/08/2008 18:39

I think you need to be honest with yourself about why you slept with three men in a short space of time and honest with all of them that you are pregnant and you don't know who by. The child has the right to know who its biological father is.

Flightputsonahat · 08/08/2008 18:41

Not yet though NotmamaG...really unless you have found yourself in this position you can have no idea how stressful it is being harrassed by very unhappy men wanting to be angry with you out of sheer frustration of not knowing.

Yes of course OP is responsible for the situation but loading more stress onto a pregnant woman isnt going to help or make it go away.

She should tell whoever will be supportive and not tell anyone else yet.

Honestly. There will be time once the child arrives for all that.

Twiglett · 08/08/2008 18:45

I didn't shout flight is bollocks .. I shouted that your assertion is bollocks .. totally different

but, yes .. I am horrible

Flightputsonahat · 08/08/2008 18:49

I had noticed

Are you only horrible to me though? Have I done something?

Twiglett · 08/08/2008 18:50

no it's a generic horribleness that comes with years of practice

Flightputsonahat · 08/08/2008 18:51

Ah ok then, I can stop being paranoid

Thanks

lulumama · 08/08/2008 18:52

you;re not special, she has been horrible to me too!

in all fairness, i thikn the men invovled are just as much to blame for not insisting on a condom too

Twiglett · 08/08/2008 18:52

actually the 14 day thing is rather a bugbear of mine .. and if you search on my name you will see this is not the first time I have reacted with the BOLLOCKS line to it

I have heard medics saying it and I want to spit roast them over an open camp fire and use the jelly from their eyeballs as basting juice

Flightputsonahat · 08/08/2008 18:52

Am special
