WHO'S THE DADDY???

Okay, so here's the problem and please dont judge I'm pretty mad at myself as it it. I have a 28 day cycle, I had sex with Mr. A on day 12 and 13, sex with Mr. B on day 18 and sex with Mr. C on day 19. All three were unprotected. Now I'm pregnant? Who's most likely to be the daddy????

Bump is 20 weeks tomorrow and a pink one aswell

Flightputsonahat · 08/08/2008 18:14

No not joking, I am totally serious and it did happen to me, I am laughing with you not at you...please don't go away

Honestly can I be helpful in a more sensitive way - I can tell you my experience if it helps x

lollipopmother · 08/08/2008 18:15

Except that Mr A got double bubble, so I'd say he has more of a chance than the others, as surely it's just as likely that any of the four nights were 'the' night??

Flightputsonahat · 08/08/2008 18:16

Can you really get PG 4 or 5 days after ovulation??

Chacha - really, we don't mean to take the piss, it's just your post sounded very lighthearted so we assumed you were being lighthearted and Ok about it. If you'd come across as more desperate or unhappy we'd have been very sympathetic, really. Sorry to have upset you x

oi · 08/08/2008 18:16

how on earth are we supposed to know?

were you going to do a poll and tot up how many people said a b or c and then rely on the answer?

there's only one way to find out and that's dna test - there is no other way

wonderstuff · 08/08/2008 18:17

I don't know but good luck!

lulumama · 08/08/2008 18:17

i agree that all are in with a fairly equal chance based on a 28 days cycle.. but possibly more likely a or b

get tested immediately for STIs

i think you need to ask yourself why you have taken such a big risk with your health in having unprotected sex with multiple partners too

chacha1976 · 08/08/2008 18:18

Will it matter if I added that Mr. B & Mr. C didn't "come" inside me. (Sorry to be so blunt but couldn't think of a more PG word)

OP posts:
DontNeedAnything · 08/08/2008 18:18

Yes Flight. You can get pg up to 4 days either side of ovulation.

lulumama · 08/08/2008 18:18

egg survives 24 - 48 hours, sperm can survive up to 5 - 7 days so yes, flight, it is possible, especially if ovulation later than mid cycle

Flightputsonahat · 08/08/2008 18:18

And my 'lush' typo (that's how you do a blush emoticon, except I missed the B by mistake) was totally aimed at myself, not at you.

Honestly. I do know how crazy it can make you. I spent hours and hours gazing at the scan pics trying to see who it looked like because I hated Mr. B and loved Mr. A (who was married but that's another story...)

It nearly certified me.

Hope you are still around.

lulumama · 08/08/2008 18:18

withdrawal is not contraception

B&C could have released sperm inside you before ejaculation

DontNeedAnything · 08/08/2008 18:19

Well in that case I would increase my odds to 90% MrA, 5% MrC and 5% MrC

Flightputsonahat · 08/08/2008 18:20

Chacha that would make it more likely to be Mr. A. Like I said I looked up the odds with my two potential fathers and the one who came was 95% and the one who withdrew was about 5%.

On the 4 day thing, I meant 4 days after ovulation. Not after day 14 iyswim.

Surely then 48 hours after ovulation is the max?

PhyllidaPoisson · 08/08/2008 18:20

Unprotected sex with three different men in one week is playing with fire re your sexual health.
Only way to tell paternity is with a DNA test after the birth.
There are other tests you need to have right now though - I hope all turns out OK for you.

DontNeedAnything · 08/08/2008 18:21

She didn't say withdrawal was contraception....but it does decrease teh odds for B&C IMO (and IME )

Flightputsonahat · 08/08/2008 18:21

Don'tneedanything - I disagree - in fact I'm sure you can't because the egg being released is ovulation, and if it only lives for 48hrs then 4 days is way out.

beanieb · 08/08/2008 18:23

does the OP know when she ovulates?

hannah001 · 08/08/2008 18:23

I vote A too.

Flightputsonahat · 08/08/2008 18:23

Chacha - that's correct about the DNA thing, you can't have a DNA test before the birth. I checked. I was so worried at the time. I think both fathers were as well so we tried every avenue.

Nothing can be done until baby arrives unless you are having other invasive tests such as CVS or such (if baby likely to have some problems)

So best to keep it to yourself and not worry everyone iyswim - in my experience anyway.

ElfOnTheTopShelf · 08/08/2008 18:23

Unless Mr C was "wearing a hat" it doesn't matter if he didn't erm... gush forth with happiness, so to speak.

lulumama · 08/08/2008 18:23

i realise that, but the OP might have thought it was or why mention it?

i think the uppermost thing right now would be testing for infections, esp. clamydia & HIV

DNA tests can only be done after the birth anywayt

ElfOnTheTopShelf · 08/08/2008 18:24

Who do you want it to be? Out of interest - no way suggesting you try to pass it off as theirs, just curious!

DontNeedAnything · 08/08/2008 18:25

I thought it was up to 4 days either side. I will concur with Lulu though, oh glorious font of all knowledge pertaining to nookie and products of nookie.

Still could equally have been any of them (wihtout the withdrawal comment) as we do not know what day ChaCha ovulated on

MatBackFack · 08/08/2008 18:26

A, surely, is most likely. Surely ejaculating inside ups your odds massively. And I speak as someone who tried to get pg for over a year. The fertile window is actually very small isn't it - though depends how old you are I guess. What will you do when the baby is born - will you do the test and then tell the one? Do they all know about each other? Try not to get too stressed, it is not good for you or the baby. What will be will be, you can't change it now. Good luck.
