hi ladies,

Firstly Merry Christmas to you all!

I supose I'm about to graduate from the AC thread but I'm worried sick.

Had my icsi pregnancy confirmed yesterday with a hcg test (14 dpo) - it was only 35
I have no symptoms whatsoever and when I tested on sunday I got 1-2 weeks pregnant on the digital test and a faint line on ERFR test...what's troubling me is I still only got a faint line today - does that mean it's not doubling properly?

I've put this to the AC ladies and they've told me I'm over analysing and to relax but I'm really worried.

What do you ladies think?

Clinic don't want to see me until 7th jan for conf. scan

hi mowmi, i saw you on the AC thread ( i am a bit of a londonlottie stalker i am afraid cos we were ttc at the same time when she was ttc first time round). i think its really hard not to worry for the first few weeks. i took bout a million pg tests when i was pg this time and all gave different lines, some dark, some lighter. lots of it depends on how much you ahve drunk so how concentrated your wee is and at what time of day you do it etc and what type of test it is and i am sure even the same type of tests can vary a lot, so try your hardest not to worry. there is absolutely nothing you can do anyway, so just try and relax and enjoy as much as you can unti, your scan. and have a lovely alcohol free xmas!!!

just had to post quickly anyway to let you all know that my sis got a BFP today!!!! and its her birthday!!! how perfect is that!!?? just hope it sticks this time!!!

happy xmas all!!!!

seaside72 · 24/12/2008 20:04

Hi everyone (there's a bit tumbleweed blowing around in here isn't there!)

Hopefully everyone is off having a wonderful Xmas time

babylove - Don't be too down honey - I am afriad those colds are the blight of our little winter babies. Cassius had his first one at 7 weeks - also from a visitor. I know it is annoying and that 3 weeks really is wee to be snuffly but I told myself that at least Cassius was building his immune system up - they are supposed to get something like 9 colds in the first year so she is getting number one out of the way. The things that really helped were the saline nose drops which got the snot running out, karvol and olbas oil on muslins tied to side of cot and also one of those snot extractors things from Boots - unpleasant but satisfying when you get a load out!!
Glad you and DP had a chat and have sorted nights out -sleep deprivation messes with your mind! Hope you all feel better soon and have a lovely special Christmas.

Greedy - hope the sick bug stayed at bay! WOOOOOHOOOO about your sis - so happy for her - praying it sticks.

mowmi - hiya - I, like greedy, am a LL stalker so "know' your name! Congratulations!! I know how hard it is analysing very little thing esp when you have waited and tried for that BFP but like wise greedy said - it is sort of out of your hands now! I peed on sticks for about 10 days then stopped - also stopped temping as would have driven myself insane. I remember I felt like my AF was going to start every day. Just keep thinking positive thoughts visualise that little embryo growing and blossoming, give yourself plenty of time each day to relax and take care of yourself (esp at this hectic time of year!) I always imagined a blue glow around my belly (blue is supposed to be healing and calming apparently - but I am a bit of an old hippie!!) Anyway all I meant to say really is Yippee about your BFP and look forward to seeing you on this thread LOTS more!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND LOADS OF LOVE TO EVERYONE!!!

fettle · 25/12/2008 09:28

MErry Christmas all!

Off for 10 days now and trying to wean myself of my addiction to Mumsnet - done very well over the last few weeks. I'll pop back now and then to see how you all are though I promise!

Babylove - glad you're sounding happier - sleep deprivation is awful. Keep try and resting and enjoy your Christmas.

Mowmi - welcome - lots of sticky vibes for you - these first few days/weeks are always full of stress and worries until you have outward signs of being pg - keep feeling positive!

big hugs and Christmas wishes to all!

xxx

mowmi · 26/12/2008 17:00

rainbowdays · 26/12/2008 19:02

greedy - great to hear about your sis, praying that this one sticks for her.

hope everyone had a great christmas and has good new year celebrations yet to come.

MrsMcClaus · 26/12/2008 21:24

Hey ladies here to catch up and to say sorry for not wishing you all a very merry Christmas I meant to but things got hectic and I never got on here hope you all had a wonderful time!

Chooster · 28/12/2008 21:27

Hi everyone - happy belated xmas to you all!!!! We headed off for xmas in newcastle on the 20th and only got back yesterday so its all been busy busy. we saw loads of family and friends which was great but its SO nice to be home. Christmas for us was just brilliant - the kids loved all their presents and got spoilt rotten . But they were so good the whole time (apart from normal xmas excitment) and slept well too!! Phew!! everything is so much more relaxing when everyone has slept well. I got some fab stuff too so just need to get it all put away now.

Hope you all had a fantastic time too .

So did the sick bug descend on the whole family Greeds or was Kiki the only one?? Hope they were OK? Brilliant news about your sis . sh must be over the moon - you all must be - Fingers crossed for her. What a great birthday / xmas present.

How are things now babylove - hope you ended up having a nice christmas and your over you chest infection. Its nasty when that happens. My mum is someone who always gets a chest infection as soon as she even within sniffing distance of someone with a cold. Hope Katelin is fully recovered though - colds really are a nightmare in those early days - sleep is so precious anyway the last thing you want is something which is going to make that harder. Both my kids have colds at the mo but its not such an issue at this age.

welcome too Mowmi!! Fingers crossed that you are feeling more positive now. The 7th jan is getting pretty close now so hopefully you'll get the re-assurance you need to relax into it. Keep us posted...

Hi to everyone else - I'm tempted to sneak into bed early tonight even though there is a ton of stuff to sort out. DH is out and Max is finally dropping off to sleep (the kids have been sleeping about 9pm to 9am at the mo ) and I would love some chilling out time to myself.

make sure you pop back soon fettle!

See you soon!

greedygreedyguzzler · 28/12/2008 21:42

hey chooster, mrs, rainbow, seaside and mowmi and everyone else!

chooster - you sound really really happy at the moment, its lovely!

rainbow - hope you are ok, read about your mastitis and af on another thread. how did you manage to mix up the kids presents?

we all had a lovely xmas. no one else got the sick bug (is that tempting fate?!). marcy has been and still is full of cold, but she is such a sweetie she looks even cuter with a bright red nose! ellis and kiki loved all their pressies. dont think marcy had clue what was going on really but loved all the people and attention! we went to my mums which we always do, but she has got a broken leg at the mometn so everything was a bit different and we all had to do much more work than normal1!! normally she waits on us all, cooks a fab meal AND entertains the kids..........not sure how, but she is a wonderwoman..........but this year was a bit different!

i am SO SO excited for my sister, but its really hard cos i dont want to get as excited as last time cos i think me being so hyper and going on about it all the time might have made it harder for her when she miscarried. so this time i am going to tone it down a bit................but then i dont want her to think im not excited......

better go anyway i guess, got some crap to watch on the tv.......then my wonderful comfortable bed awaits.....

mowmi · 29/12/2008 17:53

hey ladies, quick update for you... been to get another blood test and all is fine. Will try and relax until the scan next week! Will hopefully be over to join you properly soon.

x

Chooster · 29/12/2008 19:11

Great news Mowmi! So pleased all is growing well. Not long til you get the scan .

great that none of the other kids became ill, but your poor mum. Was she ok about xmas or did it feel odd to her as she wasn't able to do as much for everyone? My mum was poorly and couldn't even manage to cook the dinner which she always does so Dad did it (great job he did too!) but I think mum felt left out. I dont think I ever asked how she did it?

Speaking of injuries, I've peeled a bit of my thumb off instead of a bit of carrot - OUCH!!!! Not in the same league as a broken leg I grant you, but still... .

greedygreedyguzzler · 30/12/2008 11:47

at work today.........and i so want to be at home with dh and the kids. only doing a half day though, so not too bad. dh wants to take the kids swimming later which i dont fancy though, far too cold for that!

chooster - my mum HATED not being able to do stuff for us! she sat in her wheelchair and bossed everyone around from the kitchen door. my brother and brother in law cooked dinner under her guidance! how is your mum then? what was wrong with her? isnt just so horrible seeing your parents suffer and not being able to help? it was all a bit scary how my mum broke her leg............cant believe i havent bored you all with the story already! she got out of bed at 5.30am to go for a wee and then cant remember anything and found herself on the floor with a broken leg (she does have osteoporosis). she must have passed out and banged it hard on something, but the other scary thing is that my dad leapt out of bed to help her and then HE passed out! so my mum was freaking out cos she couldnt move or help him and he had fainted (only for about 20 seconds i should think, but long enough to freak my mum out). apparently when he came round he said she was hysterical and he has never seen her like that before........he nearly slapped her to calm her down (been watching too much telly i think!!!)

anyway......thats the story of my mums broken leg!!

gotta go, got an old woman waiting for me to sort her back out!

t'ra!!!

greedygreedyguzzler · 30/12/2008 11:49
