Come here and obsess about mucus, etc.
Have fun.
Try not to swear too much.
Oh actually, go for it.
The phrase "any news?" is BANNED. Offenders will be sat on by the most overdue woman present.

Well hello again. Was due to go in to be induced this morning but things happened last night.
10:30pm - first contraction
10:45pm - waters broke and off we go into hospital
2:30am - baby girl, 9lb 12oz

Horrendous pain. So so so much worse than the first. Screamed and screamed. Took me a good few hours after birth to actually appreciate that I had a baby, rather than simply that the pain was over!

No stiches. Out by 10am.

Phew.

Now the hard part...

Good luck everyone else. Remind me never to do this again.

FabioTheWhisperingCat · 20/07/2008 19:01

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 20/07/2008 20:09

Congratulations Springer! What a whopper, I think when ds2 decides it's time to comes, he will be a weight to rival your dd!

EEC - am sending some pain vibes your way, or should I say 'cervix opening like a flower bud' vibes your way?!

MrsJohnCusack · 20/07/2008 20:55

Congratulations Springer!
big babies are great

MamaG · 20/07/2008 21:22

Well done Springer and congratulations

Welcome to the new puppy!

wheresmyfroggy · 20/07/2008 23:29

First off, for those who don't know I am Hatrick's DH

Just a quick one to say that all the mooching and whinging has finally ended for us as we were joined by Cassius at 5:18 this afternoon. Weighing in at a respectable 8lbs 10oz.

We went from wonderful organic home birth plan to OMG! 3 midwives, 2 obstiatricians and 1 paediatrician in a delivery suite at East Surrey hospital, but Hatrick and little Cassius are in good health and everything was fine thanks to the wonderful team at the hospital.

Hatrick will fill you in on all the details in good time.

Good luck to all those still waiting and congratulations to any that have arrived since this morning!

hunkermunker · 20/07/2008 23:30

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!

hunkermunker · 20/07/2008 23:31

And aha - he is a wee redheaded chap then?

Sounds like it might've got a bit exciting - give Hatrick a big hug from me and have one yourself, you dad of four, you!

Can't believe Hatrick and WMF have a boy!

Hey, you could've called him Froggy!

hunkermunker · 20/07/2008 23:34

WMF, they're all talking about missed holidays but I know there are heaps of people hanging out to hear re your new son so I took a bit of a liberty. Hope you don't mind!

wheresmyfroggy · 20/07/2008 23:35

Might be redhead but prob not.

Cassius just seemed to fit!

hunkermunker · 20/07/2008 23:36

It's bloody lovely - I really like it! Has he a middle name?

cadelaide · 20/07/2008 23:38

mrsmacleod · 21/07/2008 07:50

Think I must be the most overdue ever - am 42+1. Have private midwife so am not being rushed into induction but am getting so frustrated. Can't understand why he hasn't come yet - DS came at 38 weeks. 3 friends have given birth in the last 4 weeks - which is lovely for them but makes me
