Come here and obsess about mucus, etc.
Have fun.
Try not to swear too much.
Oh actually, go for it.
The phrase "any news?" is BANNED. Offenders will be sat on by the most overdue woman present.

hatrick - wish there was something I could say, I know you didn't want an induction but at least it's the end of the road and I'm sure once you start going it will be fine and you will have your little man in no time and thats all that matters. Please don't be disheartened your going to have a newborn really soon, you should be excited. This time next week you will have forgotten all this.

MrsJohnCusack · 19/07/2008 07:28

hatrick you poor love
I can only hope that what happened to me happened to you - I'd given up completely, toddled along to the induction thinking I might be in labour and I was - I really, really have my fingers crossed that'll happend for you roo - good luck

MrsJohnCusack · 19/07/2008 07:32

Congratulations Umlellala.

Good luck for your hospital visit, Hatrick.
What happened to MrsJC may happen to you.
If not, you'll still be fine.
Sending happy birthing vibes.

jamiesummers · 19/07/2008 10:09

Thanks for your messages - good luck to all of you. It IS so hard those last days of waiting... I got sooooo grumpy, my poor dd

Good luck Hatrick, you could def still go into labour before induction... you could be dilating right now - I didn't even realise I was!

Also, I would never have picked for my labour to have gone like it did (the plan was: epidural asap) but I am so glad it did. It worked out best for us really and I truly believe things do happen for a reason. Stay positive!

EEC · 19/07/2008 11:36

Welcome Skyler - so pleased for you Umlellala.

Still waiting here. No signs at all. Suddenly feeling quite resigned to waiting it out to the 2 week mark (miserable of course, but resigned). It's so good to have the company though.

Hatrick - I went into labour hours before induction due with DS too, so don't give up hope.

FabioUnblogged · 19/07/2008 12:06

Congratulations Umlellala!

Hope all going well for hatrick.

springerspaniel · 19/07/2008 12:34

Checking in. Still here. 40wks+11 days. Induction tomorrow.

Aargh - this thread has turned into birth announcements. Hope I'm next.

Induction can take days. Not looking forward to being poked, being in pain and being in a ward full of smeg-heads.

FabioUnblogged · 19/07/2008 12:39

Oh dear, poor spingerspaniel.
At least you have a good excuse to call everyone a bastard quite freely.

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 19/07/2008 12:40

Congratulations on the birth of Skylar Umlellala!

Good luck to Hatrick.

mummy2bsoon · 19/07/2008 12:41

dnt worry im with u, still waiting!!!!

FrannyandZooey · 19/07/2008 12:42

springer LOTS of people told me good stories about induction this week
only needing the gel, for instance, or having the full works with drip etc and then having a perfectly normal and copable labour

The anecdotal evidence does seem to point at induction after 40 weeks being a different experience from an earlier induction.

How are the dss, Franny? Is ds1 being adoring big bro?

FabioUnblogged · 19/07/2008 12:47

PS Unrelated hijack.
ggglimpopo had a scary car accident, but I don't think many people have seen the thread. She's ok but shaken.

Here

springerspaniel · 19/07/2008 13:12

LOL (a lot!) at Fabio - you b*stard.

springerspaniel · 19/07/2008 13:13

Eek - I meant LOL at "now you have an excuse..." NOT at the car accident which is v scary.

FabioUnblogged · 19/07/2008 13:16

I assumed twas at the bastard bit.
Yours sincerely,
Fabastard.

ExterminAitch · 19/07/2008 13:19

i had an absolutely fine induction experience, for the record. all done and dusted in 6 hours, pain manageable (although foofin' sore obv), no footering about with interventions, nothing. it was great.
