Been away from this thread for a couple of days. I LOVE overdue bingo, especially the last one.

Realised this morning that I hadn't shaved my legs for several weeks some time and that was obviously the reason baby hadn't come out.

Have now remedied the situation. Baby still not arrived, obviously because he/she wants me to have a bacon sandwich for lunch. He/she will definitely then make an appearance.

fryalot · 14/07/2008 13:15

fingers crossed for you, franny

Just think, butterfly may have her baby now

robino · 14/07/2008 13:20

Franny - thought I'd send you my best wishes for your sweep. I can't even imagine HOW fed up you are right now with the waiting game - good luck.

FabioTheLiterateCat · 14/07/2008 13:25

Take paracetamol before sweep?
Good luck.
I will keep my legs paws crossed.

Tatties · 14/07/2008 13:28

Good luck girls [excited]

FrannyandZooey · 14/07/2008 14:40

Did she tell you how your cervix is doing?

fryalot · 14/07/2008 14:50
MamaG · 14/07/2008 15:15

I'm glad she could do the sweep franny, hopefully it will get things moving for you!

I keep thinking about butterfly too. hope everything is going smoothly. When I had to be induced with DD they said they were too busy and I had to go back the next day - gutted isn't strong enough a word

I met a Mum today who has a 16 week old, her son will be going to school with mine in September. We got on really really well and she said taht at LAncaster (my hospital) they induced her only 2 days over after she very firmly told them she wanted it done! Hopefully they'll do the same for me (I don't mind being induced, am weirdo).

springerspaniel · 14/07/2008 15:45

I'm booked in for sweep tomorrow pm.

MamaG - why would people mind being induced? Is it just because contractions can be much more painful and they do more monitorring?

I'm 7 days over and they leave you till 12 days. I know it sounds dreadful but I just feel like I am wasting my maternity leave.

hunkermunker · 14/07/2008 15:49

Fingers crossed (then uncrossed again, with a quick rummage to boot ) the sweep sends you into labour, Franny. Baby before tea would be nice, eh? Well, before T-morrow, maybe?

AlexHanjon · 14/07/2008 16:17

I am four days overdue - went to the doctor and he said it looks like the baby is waiting... he said it could be another week maybe.
Tiredsome this is becoming....
hopefully Leon will decide to come out soon and give Mommy a rest.

sweetkitty · 14/07/2008 16:31

No sign of MW although she did say she might pop by today will phone her tomorrow.

Franny - hope it tips you over the labour edge fingers but not legs crossed.

AggiePanther · 14/07/2008 16:33
