FrannyandZooey · 12/07/2008 09:14

oooh hatrick I was also excited there
croissants just what are needed
I have my freezer full of delicious / easy / healthy / indulgent treats ready for when the baby comes - have forbidden dp to touch them till then - we are living off cheese sandwiches and salad as there is no room for anything else in the house

lol Franny I did that with my other two

"you can't eat the haagen dazs until the baby's born. Have an apple"

MamaG · 12/07/2008 09:28

FWIW I don't think Hatrick should change her name. She has 3 girls so thats the hatrick and now she's adding a boy (but don't do anything wanky like call yourself HatrickplusBubba please)

FrannyandZooey · 12/07/2008 09:28

yes
meanwhile going "I haven't got any tre-eee-eeeats. Can you go and buy me some cho-oooo-colate?"

MamaG · 12/07/2008 09:29
  • meant to add to franny's message - and when the baby was actually born I didn't really care WHAT I ate, as long as something was thrown down my neck at some point
FrannyandZooey · 12/07/2008 09:29

wonder how Butterfly is
am thinking of you

has anyone found nice things to do while waiting? I have read all the nice books I bought myself
I was booking in once a week for something like a pedicure / massage but just ended up fed up and uncomfortable and not wanting anyone to fiddle about with me
and going for some food is nice but god knows I am large enough without extra sustenance
walking or indeed sitting not v comfortable so most ordinary activities are right out [gloom]

Just checking in to see if anyone has had a baby in the night, nothing new to report here, had a good nights sleep last night, no BHs in the night, don't think anything is going to happen over the weekend.

I know what you mena F&Z a nice walk is out due to weather and SPD, cannot face shopping or a soft play (it's school hols here) so we are kind of confined to the house just waiting. DP is off on holiday until I have the baby so at least he is here to drive me mad help out

hatrick - last time was worse DD1 was 15 days early and I thought DD2 would be early or at least on time, I'm early for everything I don't do late and am very impatient though my daughters would be too, DD2 was 12 days late! Am only 2 days overdue so far.

We reckon she is waiting for DP's birthday on Monday (14th), DD1's is the 20th so it's going to be an expensive week in July from now on.

ButterflyMcQueen · 12/07/2008 10:25

well.............

here i am!

after watching a Daniel Auteil film until the wee small hours dp and i nervously turned the light out...

and woke 9 hours later without so much as a loo break let alone a waters break! I have not had a more comfortable night for 9 months

dp now at work

We are a rubbish lot aren't we!!!!

Well I finally plucked up the courage to do the deed with long suffering DH last night. Was convinced that it would do the trick, just last time. Nope. Lots of BH though which always gets your hopes up.

Was quite pleasant though and didn't feel too much like articulated lorry. Had forgotten that it was supposed to be a treat and not a chore!

Ho hum. Am staring out the window at my raspberry canes, wondering how to make raspberry leaf tea.

DH is so floaty and relaxed after last night that so far this morning he has:

  • played with lego DS from 6am-8am
  • given DS breakfast
  • done dishes
  • painted with DS
  • bathed DS to remove paint from almost entire body

...and has now taken DS out on bike.

Maybe I won't go into labour after all, maybe just have regular sex to keep DH floaty and relaxed in perfect husband mode.

I'm rather enjoying this thread

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 12/07/2008 11:04

Sending cervix opening vibes to you all, and thinking 'oh shit, this is going to be me in 8 weeks time'

min912 · 12/07/2008 11:24

Am calm mostly rational person today - but minor left over rant from yesterday, friend called 'to see how you are' - genuinely, she didn't use any of the forbidden phrases once BUT every time I said 'I feel like this...' or 'it just seems like...' she kept saying 'I know, I know.'

She has never given birth. Very hard not to snap 'no you don't f+++ing know actually!!!'
Do I get a virtual medal for managing not to??!

FrannyandZooey · 12/07/2008 11:24

Anyone else keep getting emails from eg Babycentre saying "your 1 week old"?

silly cunts

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 12/07/2008 11:25

min no we need to stamp this out quickly
everyone getting an annoying phone call or text today must reply with head-ripping-off fury
it will teach them a lesson

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 12/07/2008 11:33

ok this is a personal q but I need to know
when you are all getting millions of BH after sex, is that after you have had an orgasm? or is it just the physical action that is bringing them on, or the sperm, or what?

cos I have had about 6 BH during this entire pg I think and none of them have been after sex

Morning ...it's not just phone calls and emails here but bloody facebook as well..I keep getting messages saying...'PUSH'. These people obviously don't know the mechanics of giving birth.

They clearly think it's amusing when quite obviously it's not even slightly funny
