Starting a new thread and hope it will fill up in the next few weeks

I am a bit nervous starting this group as I am still SO early, only just testing positive this morning at 9DPO, ive taken 3 tests just to be sure. Hoping for a sticky bean, I am not a stranger to chemical pregnancies so really keeping everything crossed, its so nerve wracking!

I've gone off 'conception date' rather than LMP as I ovulate late, and for me, its more accurate - this brings me to due date 1st August 2026.

If others would like, I can start a Facebook group, maybe in a few weeks, I found the group sooo useful with my first little one! Let me know πŸ₯°

How is everyone? Any symptoms yet?

@BunnyWilliams - sending a big hug. If anything, I think it's great that you're not being so sick this time round! You've got plenty of other symptoms so I really would take it as a win. I know it's easy to say and harder to do IRL. Anxiety is horrible. I'm struggling with anxiety too but for all the other reasons we already mentioned - namely, how on earth am I going to survive with 4! Big hugs xxx

Peonies94 · 05/12/2025 14:11

Hello all! I’ve moved over here from the infertility forum for the time being! I tested positive yesterday and had some line progression today! I’m super early joining but someone suggested joining here and thought that would be a good idea! Congratulations to you all! Been having fertility treatment for the last 18 months and it’s been a whirlwind! Crosssing everything thst this pregnancy sticks as I’m aware it’s super early days!! 🀞🀞🀞

Peonies94 · 05/12/2025 14:13

I’m currently 6DPT (equivalent to 11DPO) have added a picture of my both tests! It seems to have progressed okay overnight so hoping that’ll continue 🀞🀞

Peonies94 · 05/12/2025 14:23

Sorry it didn’t attach! I’d love to be able to schedule an early scan at 6 weeks but that would literally be a day or two before Christmas, so we’ll see! I also have blood tests mid next week to check my BETA results through my clinic.

mummatara · 05/12/2025 15:56

@BunnyWilliamsbig big hugs. It’s so hard. All my pregnancies successful and unsuscessful I’ve had all different kind of symptoms so try not to read too much into them. How many weeks are you again now? Will the EPU not scan you for some reassurance given your history?

@Peonies94 congrats and welcome πŸ‘‹πŸΌ

BabyW26 · 05/12/2025 16:33

Hi girls, I know there’s already been posts like this but just need advice. Had the tiniest bit of blood on my tissue when wiping. I’m 6 weeks 1 day. What does this mean? Feel sick with anxiety

BunnyWilliams · 05/12/2025 16:39

Thanks @Notmeagain24and @mummatarafor talking me down off the ledge. I know I need to chill out. I really struggled with very bad anxiety during my pregnancy with my son 6 years ago and ended up being induced on my due date because I was having panic attacks about something happening to him (he was my rainbow after 4 consecutive losses). I seemed to be more chilled in my last successful pregnancy with my daughter (one loss in between my son and her) and now the anxiety has hit me like a truck again. I should probably mention it to the midwife when I have my booking appointment.

I feel silly approaching the EPU about a scan when I'm not having any bleeding or cause for concern. I did have reassurance scans in my son's pregnancy early on but that's because we were under the consultant for recurrent miscarriage at the time. I don't even know what I'd say now, and I'm in a different area so not sure of the procedure.

BunnyWilliams · 05/12/2025 16:40

@Peonies94Congratulations! That's so exciting! Welcome ☺️

BunnyWilliams · 05/12/2025 16:43

@BabyW26I had bleeding in my last successful pregnancy. It was a subchorionic hematoma which is relatively common, apparently. It's a pocket of blood that forms as the embryo implants into the uterus. It caused me to have on and off spotting for a couple of weeks (some brown and some pinkish, never bright red). It's really scary but it can be very normal. I'd keep an eye on it and if it happens again tomorrow or it picks up, ring the EPU or your midwife if you've got their contact details.

mummatara · 05/12/2025 17:06

@BunnyWilliamsim the same EPU that I have always been in so they know my history and I know their procedure but I just rung them told them my history with recurrent loss and said they have told me to ring whenever I get pregnant and they will book me in for a scan. They literally asked no questions just booked me in. I think it could be worth a try to contact them. In their eyes with your history scanning you is worth it for your mental health too and see that it’s all going as it should for the gestation.

I haven’t filled in the form yet for my booking appointment. I think I’m going to wait until after my scan on Tuesday so I don’t have to cancel it if it’s not good news

BabyW26 · 05/12/2025 17:09

@BunnyWilliamsthank you for the advice this is reassuring. I feel like I’m cramping now but I think it’s in my head with the anxiousness I’m feeling right now. I will keep an eye on this and try and relax πŸ₯Ί

Peonies94 · 05/12/2025 18:59

Anyone else feel like time has never moved so slowly? Got my positive 2 days ago and honestly driving myself mad πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Peonies94 · 05/12/2025 19:10

Sorry to hear a few of you are having g spotting/feeling anxious! It’s just so hard, particularly in the begining specially when you’ve had previous complications!
I’m pregnant after my third cycle of ivf dnd feel so nervous! Think this was our last chance so crossing everything it works out!

ZazuJens · 05/12/2025 21:09

Hello everyone, congratulations to you all. Tested positive on Tuesday (9dpo so super early). Tests still light but seem to be getting a bit darker as days go on and digital saying 1-2 weeks. This is my 4th pregnancy this year following a chemical, and then 2 back to back MMCs. It has been a really hard year so I’m feeling very vulnerable and anxious at the moment. Trying to stay positive but it is difficult. Due date mid August 🀞🏻 Sending you all hugs xx

mumwithallthebooks · 06/12/2025 00:29

Hi tentatively joining as it is very early days. Test says 2-3 weeks pregnant. I've had early miscarriages before so trying not to get too excited whilst also keeping everything crossed. We've been having IUI and IVF so this is a much-longed for second baby.

Xur · 06/12/2025 06:31

@BabyW26 Hi! I think the popular advice is that spotting and cramping can be normal as long as the blood dripping out is not bright red/fresh as bright red indicates shedding of uterus and fast bleeding.

@Peonies94 so slow, I feel like I’m in the movie inception and time has stopped. πŸ«₯

@BunnyWilliams My nausea is coming and going (one day I have it, the other day not, on repeat) and it’s driving me monkeys.
Today morning I Spent a substantial amount of time laying in bed and wondering if it’s okay.
I have not had losses before and I don’t want to know what I would be like if I had. Sending good vibes your way!

BabyW26 · 06/12/2025 07:10

@XurYes I think so, it’s not happened since so hopefully was normal spotting! Staying positive πŸ‘ΆπŸΌπŸ©·

bigbaggyblue · 06/12/2025 08:04

I agree with how slow time is passing. I usually find the days run away with me but since finding out I was pregnant at 9dpo times stood still. I’ll be 5 weeks tomorrow and the exhaustion has started!

JennyTig · 06/12/2025 08:41

Morning ladies, sorry to hear some of your anxieties and symptoms (or lack of), early pregnancy is such a tough time. No one prepares us for this at any point until it happens!

I'm having all day intense nausea and food aversions, only time I don't feel sick is when I sleep, and am living off beige food. Finding it really difficult to just get on with normal life.

I second checking in with the EPU for anyone that has worries. I have had a niggling cramp/pinch on one side for pretty much the whole time and it wasn't easing off so I self referred on Thursday. Got a call yesterday morning asking me to come in for a scan and turns out all is fine (we saw a heartbeat too) and it is apparently a "giant" corpus luteum on the left that was causing the pinching sensation. For me I wanted to check the pregnancy was in the right place (and also that there was a fetal pole etc) so a big relief.

Feeling hopeful because things are off to a good start, but also thinking of having another scan at 9/10 weeks to check things are still going well after a previous MMC where I had seen the heartbeat at 6 weeks.

Peonies94 · 06/12/2025 15:06

@JennyTig glad you had a scan to reassure you!
@bigbaggyblue honestly so slow it’s insane! I only found out two days ago and 5 days post transfer and it’s been so slow!

@ZazuJens think we’re the same date, I tested positive Wednesday at 5 days post transfer which is equivalent to around 10DPO!

Notmeagain24 · 06/12/2025 16:07

Goodness me ladies, I'm with you on time passing slowly. we all have a really nasty lurgy too - feels like it's probably covid with a constant cough and burning chest. It's taken us all out. I'm struggling to work out what's pregnancy yuckiness and what's lurgy-related. My husband keeps asking why does it matter but it really does... if this is all pregnancy related, I don't know how I'm gonna survive for another 7 weeks or so of this first trimester! I'm sure its
mostly illness though... it's the tickly constant cough that's awful! Hoping you're all doing ok today and staying lurgy free xx

Peonies94 · 06/12/2025 17:58

@Notmeagain24 i hope most of them are illness symptoms so that you’ll feel better soon 🀞🀞 get well soon!

Peonies94 · 07/12/2025 06:06

Feel like I’ve finally had progression on my easy at home test strips with the bottom one finally being a bit darker 🀞

mummatara · 07/12/2025 07:21

@Peonies94they look good. I have found the strips to always take a while to look obviously darker.

@Notmeagain24i hope you feel better soon there are a lot of lurgies going around. I’m shocked I haven’t caught the horrid cold my youngest has atm

@JennyTigahhh so glad your scan went well and there was a HB that’s fab news πŸ₯³ how many weeks are you now?

im 6 weeks today getting all day nausea atm and the exhaustion is unbelievable. I have so many things to do for Xmas but I’m in bed once I’ve put the other 2 to bed so getting nothing done πŸ˜… just 2 more days to wait for my scan

Peonies94 · 07/12/2025 09:45

@mummatara thatd good to know! My FRER is just about as dark as the control line right now! have HCG bloods with my clinic middle of next week!

Ohh 6 weeks!! Good luck for your scan! Sorry you’re feeling so rubbish though!πŸ˜” such a busy time of year which makes it harder too!
