Starting a new thread and hope it will fill up in the next few weeks

I am a bit nervous starting this group as I am still SO early, only just testing positive this morning at 9DPO, ive taken 3 tests just to be sure. Hoping for a sticky bean, I am not a stranger to chemical pregnancies so really keeping everything crossed, its so nerve wracking!

I've gone off 'conception date' rather than LMP as I ovulate late, and for me, its more accurate - this brings me to due date 1st August 2026.

If others would like, I can start a Facebook group, maybe in a few weeks, I found the group sooo useful with my first little one! Let me know πŸ₯°

How is everyone? Any symptoms yet?

Can the Facebook group go back to being private? One option would be that anyone wanting to join has to be a fb friend of someone in it - that can make it easier for someone to join i think?

Ive just panicked and left the group, will this have now shown to others that ive joined the group? 😳😳😳

I've also just left the group. I really don't feel comfortable with it being public, and I feel it was a little unfair to make it so without checking with others first. I will be really annoyed if FB friends and family can see I've joined as we haven't announced to anyone and won't be doing until after 12 weeks.

Panic over! We are safe!

Either way, please let me know when the group goes back to private and I will rejoin.

I really dont feel comfortable that all members of the public can see and read potentially private discussions, and also sensitive subjects that others may want to chat about.

Alternatively I can create a private one instead?

I’ve also left the group!!! Why make it public? I imagine most of us haven’t announced we are pregnant! I’ll be mortified if people found out from a FB group. Is there another private group? Or shall we create another?

Sunnycrispwinterrobin · 29/11/2025 15:59

Hi all,

Ive created a new private group - its been named

'AUGUST SUMMER CRUISE πŸ›³

Its so random I know but I feel slightly safer that the name doesn't give the game away (although it is private, no one will see you have joined or the posts)

Feel free to join

Sorry to the person who created the other group, I dont want to step on your toes but its left me a bit unnerved for a good half an hour wondering if others had seen! I would rather play it safe, hope you understand, and feel free to join this group!

im not on Facebook but Google says that posts that were made when it was a private group should still remain private and won’t be visible to the public. So if you posted in it when it was private you will be fine

Hi all, congratulations!

Can I join? Had my first definitive positive test today! This will be my first, I'm excited but nervous and feel very in limbo until I feel more securely pregnant. I feel completely normal, only difference is I realised I actually didn't feel angry and shit in the lead up to my period this weekend πŸ˜‚

Due date is allegedly 8th August, fingers crossed for everyone!

Thank you! I am hoping to join in a few weeks (the group with my first was amazing) but going to leave until 12 weeks because I'm a bag of nerves lol

wandatotherescue · 29/11/2025 17:32

Hi everyone πŸ‘‹ so happy to find this group! I tested twice in the early hours of this morning and both times had lines which were faint but very definitely there. I should be 10 DPO and, based on my last period, should be due 13th August. These are my first ever positive pregnancy tests!! Feels very strange and exciting. Trying not to get my hopes up too much but to still allow myself to celebrate cautiously. I told my husband first thing this morning, we got married a few months ago and have been trying for 3 cycles. I’ve bought some a dating pregnancy test to take in a few days time. Hoping that it’s a BFP then and will book an early scan for just before Christmas at 6 weeks. I’ve had very sore boobs, been really tired, a bit bloated and headachey. Congratulations everyone, really crossing everything it sticks!

Sunnycrispwinterrobin · 29/11/2025 17:38

@Giraffemug30ahhh welcome, congratulations!!!

Have you told your partner yet? I waited a few days and surprised him with a card 'made by our little girl' it was a tree, with the tests stuck down on the bark, inside said, our family tree is growing! Took him a few minutes to notice the card on the table 🀣

I dont have many symptoms tbh which is making me a bit nervous, my due date based on my late ovulation is 1st august so im not that much ahead of you! A few others have the same due date as you im sure!

Ahhh amazing congratulations!! It took me a good week for it to feel real and even now it still doesn't completely, its really daunting not knowing what's going on in there, all being well I will feel better after a scan, im like you ive booked an early one for the week before Xmas!

Welcome to the group πŸ₯°

I feel so much better despite knowing its a private group, if there was ever some weird error and it ever did show up, no one would bat an eyelid if they saw i was in a 'holiday group' hehe

Come join us!

Hi both! Happy to be here 😊 I'm technically due at the end of July according to my last period, but I know I ovulated late this cycle and my babies are never on time, so I'm certain that I'm actually due in August! This is baby #4 for us, although actually my 9th pregnancy which is insane to say.

I'm trying really hard to stay positive and not dwell on my anxiety, although it's tough with our history. I'm pregnant today and until proven otherwise! I'll definitely be booking at an early scan at about 7/8 weeks though.

Like both of you, I also had awful nausea and sickness starting at about 8 weeks with my first and 6 weeks with the other two. I've started feeling sicker by the day so I know it's coming. The absolute joy I remember from the last two pregnancies is that when you vomit, you also wet yourself (thanks pelvic floor), so we've probably all got that excitement to look forward to πŸ€ͺ

Have either of you started thinking about names yet?

congrats all on the pregnancies! @BunnyWilliams how are you feeling about it being number 4? I'm also pregnant with number 4... it was one of those 'if it happens...' type of plans and I don't really think I expected it to happen. It'll be my 4th section too! I have moments of excitement and moments of sheer panic. It's nice to know there's someone here with the 4th on the way too! I don't know many IRL with big families. I'm also due 28th July really so hope you don't mind me joining here!

Wishingandwaiting2453 · 29/11/2025 17:51

I love this! I haven’t told my husband yet. We’ve been through so much IVF stuff that I just cannot truly believe it. We’ve been doing Xmas decs today so I might do a test and leave it under the tree as a little gift.

It’s weird that I’m keeping it to myself. Think he’s scared to ask if I’ve tested because I’ve been a mess every failed round. It’s like a nice little few days to myself chatting away to the little embryo! Haha

PandaOrLion · 29/11/2025 17:58

Where in the country are you all? (Or elsewhere if not the Uk). My group with DS was very mixed but I’ve made some lovely friends who are near-ish. We’re in Coventry.

Yes I told my partner, I'd planned to surprise him but he was in the next door room 🀣 it's my Xmas party tonight so I wanted to know if I could drink 🀣

Like you I don't really have any symptoms so it doesn't feel real and yes I feel nervous right now, I don't want to get ahead of myself when it's such esrly days!

That's such a cute idea with the card, was your partner surprised?
