Starting a new thread and hope it will fill up in the next few weeks

I am a bit nervous starting this group as I am still SO early, only just testing positive this morning at 9DPO, ive taken 3 tests just to be sure. Hoping for a sticky bean, I am not a stranger to chemical pregnancies so really keeping everything crossed, its so nerve wracking!

I've gone off 'conception date' rather than LMP as I ovulate late, and for me, its more accurate - this brings me to due date 1st August 2026.

If others would like, I can start a Facebook group, maybe in a few weeks, I found the group sooo useful with my first little one! Let me know πŸ₯°

How is everyone? Any symptoms yet?

Fingers crossed! My little girl (18mo) has been feeding lots more than usual over the past couple of weeks so I wonder if she can sense something has changed, or if it's a total coincidence...

Is anyone else still breastfeeding? I’m 6w today and I can’t quite believe how painful it is to latch!!!

Not this time but i did in my last pregnancy and then tandem fed for 6 months.

The lansinoh cool pads really helped but i feel your pain!

LoveYouHoneybear · 15/12/2025 20:35

Well the nausea has arrived full force and I am rendered basically useless. Haven’t vomited yet, but have come perilously close. No idea how I’m going to get through the other side while taking care of my other two!

BabyW26 · 15/12/2025 21:48

I need to come away from Mumsnet for a while. I don’t think this is my time to be a mum yet β˜ΉοΈπŸ’” heartbroken. I hope you all have happy healthy babies and if I get better news at my scan in 2 weeks, I’ll be back πŸ™πŸΌ best of luck ladies x

It won't arrive if you're pregnant!
Congratulations!

I’m so sorry @BabyW26 I had the same in July this year, the EPU were lovely and kept telling me hopeful stories but I knew in my heart it was over. There’s nothing anyone can say or do to ease the pain, just do your best to look after yourself.

Taysonic · 16/12/2025 19:38

Hi all. Tentatively saying hello...

13dpo and tested positive yesterday. Came home from work today and took two digitals (one 10mui, one 25mui) expecting one to probably show up digitally but not the other one yet... But, to my joy and amazement: both digitals say pregnant. Weeks indicator 1-2 weeks.

This is my second, my partner's first. My son is 9yrs old. Quite the age gap!

We sadly experienced two losses this year: an early loss in March and a PUL/suspected ectopic in July. That was quite a long drawn out affair and due to the treatment, had to stop TTC for three months after.

Keeping all my fingers crossed for a super sticky bean. My other pregnancies this year involved a lot of early bleeding (both times I thought I'd had my period before finding out I was actually pregnant) but no bleeding so far so... Long may that continue.

How do we get through this wait before we know if it’s real or not? 😭 only around 5w2ds now.

Ive got 2 boys already and have been pregnant 3 times before, my first MC started around now, and with my third pregnancy I was bleeding from the start and we lost a twin.
This time I’m very on edge and convinced it’s not going to work out. I’ve cried an unbelievable amount of times. I can’t stop testing, I’m yet to have a dyestealer and my tests look the same. I even tried 2 different tests to see if it would reassure me but it hasn’t.

Ive got one digital test left and I was going to use it around 6 weeks and hope it says 3+

until then I don’t know how to stay sane 😭

anyone else feeling the same?

I've only just found out I'm pregnant, but after having two early pregnancy losses this year already, I know exactly how you feel. My losses both included a lot of early pregnancy bleeding and so far, this pregnancy has been bleeding free so I'm taking some comfort in that but I'm terrified every time I go to the toilet, feels like it could all be taken away at any moment.

I hate that anxiety like that is part of my pregnancy experience, but I don't know how you can not worry and stress when you've been through it before. Just keep our fingers crossed for each other. Progression on tests can be really hit and miss, and I definitely obsessed over that both previous pregnancies so I'm trying to take a more rational approach this time but... easier said than done and I only found out I was pregnant on Monday and I've tested every day since already!

Have some quiet faith. If you can. And hopefully, everything will feel a little more real and less risky soon. It just takes time.

Hi. Your feelings are really understandable.
I lost my first two pregnancies and I was hyper anxious when I conceived a third time.
It was only when I saw a heartbeat at 8 weeks that I relaxed.
I hope all goes well with you.

givingitanothergo · 17/12/2025 11:41

Thank you @Taysonic + @TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne !

my test looked a whole lot darker this morning so that made me feel a bit more hopeful but still I guess line progression doesn’t always mean anything!

it’s so hard to properly switch off the thoughts 😭

ZazuJens · 17/12/2025 13:18

Anyone else not experiencing sore boobs? Currently 5w 2 days and they feel completely normal, no tenderness at all. A previous pregnancy which unfortunately ended in MMC they were sore from around 4 weeks, to the point I had to gently take off my bra every evening because they were so tender. It’s making me a little nervous that they’re not even the tiniest bit sore

LoveYouHoneybear · 17/12/2025 13:49

@ZazuJensi do have sore boobs this time around, but my previous 2 successful pregnancies I did not have sore boobs until much later (if at all)! So I wouldn’t be too worried about lack of soreness- as they say each pregnancy is different.

im 5w2d as well!

I’ve had it on and off but more off than on tbh. In my other pregnancies I don’t remember having that as a symptom at all this early on. So I think they’re all just gonna be different aren’t they.

hard not to worry though isn’t it !!

(I already made my own post earlier about being worried about everything 😭)

8 weeks here and only just started to get tender boobs now. With my first (successful) pregnancy I didn't get sore boobs at all

Right now I just have intense nausea, have some medication from the GP that is helping.

Started between 6 to 6.5 weeks literally overnight, so symptoms can come any time!

I have had some really sore boobs for a few days and now also hard lumps, but turns out it’s just a follow up from stopping breastfeeding approx 3 weeks ago.
Last pregnancy (which is now stopping being breastfed) I had no sore boobs at all, and my nausea has stopped, so I don’t know what to make of it. It’s playing with my head to be honest.

BunnyWilliams · 17/12/2025 18:30

@ZazuJensI've had 3 successful pregnancies and not had sore boobs in any of them 😊

FunnySam · 17/12/2025 21:25

Tentatively joining… FTM, only tested faint positive Monday so would be 4 weeks tomorrow! Tests are getting darker by day (so far) but it’s so early so nervous to jinx it

My nausea stopped completely with my first at around 7/8 weeks, and then a week or so later came back really mild after having been quite severe. It really worried me.

He's 5 with unstoppable energy now!

LoveYouHoneybear · 17/12/2025 23:43

@JennyTigoh I’m so sorry to hear that, what medication are you on? I’m speaking with my GP tomorrow and I’m going to ask for something because this is unbearable.
