Starting a new thread and hope it will fill up in the next few weeks

I am a bit nervous starting this group as I am still SO early, only just testing positive this morning at 9DPO, ive taken 3 tests just to be sure. Hoping for a sticky bean, I am not a stranger to chemical pregnancies so really keeping everything crossed, its so nerve wracking!

I've gone off 'conception date' rather than LMP as I ovulate late, and for me, its more accurate - this brings me to due date 1st August 2026.

If others would like, I can start a Facebook group, maybe in a few weeks, I found the group sooo useful with my first little one! Let me know πŸ₯°

How is everyone? Any symptoms yet?

I’ll be also having a few blood tests with my clinic to confirm my hormones are rising okay, so hopefully that’ll give me a little reassurance! 🀞

mummatara · 08/12/2025 19:16

@BunnyWilliamsim so glad they have managed to get you in for a scan this week that’s great news and hopefully will help ease some of your anxiety 🀞🏼

Peonies94 · 08/12/2025 19:25

@BunnyWilliams glad they’ve got you in for a scan!

Faithincats · 08/12/2025 21:04

Thanks @BunnyWilliams - great news that they've booked you in for a scan. I am only four weeks which feels super early to self refer to the midwives but I've done so today so will have a chat with them about how I'm feeling and see what they say. I was under the Tommy's recurrent miscarriage clinic in Coventry before, but (unsurprisingly) didn't really think to ask about what the protocol would be if I had a healthy baby and then got pregnant again!

Sending you all the luck for Friday x

basilsenia · 08/12/2025 21:56

Hope everyone is doing ok! I'm 6+3 today and nausea and fatigue are kicking my ass, I don't remember it being this bad with my son!! Early scan (viability scan due to reocurrent loss) has been booked in at the EPU for Monday when I should be just over 7 weeks!

How's everyone else's symptoms doing so far? A new one to add to the list for early pregnancy for me is acid!!

Where is everyone chatting outside the thread? I have seen a few Facebook groups and mention of a WhatsApp?

ZazuJens · 08/12/2025 22:52

What symptoms did everyone have at 4 weeks? Or when did your symptoms start? I’m on high alert but think so far it is just needing to pee more

LoveYouHoneybear · 08/12/2025 23:57

@ZazuJensalso needing to pee more! And I am so incredibly tired and hungry all the time! Dreading the incoming nausea but also at least it’s a good sign! I had terrible sickness for my previous pregnancies. Only 4+4… time is going by so slowly.

Peonies94 · 09/12/2025 05:29

@basilsenia yes id love to join a WhatsApp group if there’s one!

bigbaggyblue · 09/12/2025 08:05

@Peonies94there is a WhatsApp group, I’ve messaged to ask how to add you as I’m unsure! 😁

mummatara · 09/12/2025 14:25

Went for my scan today and there is a blob with a heartbeat 😍 back in 2 weeks for a rescan

wandatotherescue · 09/12/2025 14:26

Such great news @mummatara ❀️

BunnyWilliams · 09/12/2025 14:29

Aw yay @mummatara! I'm so pleased for you.

PandaOrLion · 09/12/2025 14:57

@Faithincats are you local to Coventry? I was under the same team during my first pregnancy.

@PandaOrLion I'm about 45 mins away, Market Harborough. I requested Tommy's rather than my local clinic as I have endo and wanted to be seen/investigated by Prof. Quenby's team. I assume you're nearby? πŸ™‚

Thanks for sharing the joining links. What's the difference between the Facebook group and the WhatsApp group?

I think I can join in on this thread after this mornings less squinty line, I’m holding on until the weekend to use my last digital but have a few cheapies to see me through!

All being well, this will be my second August baby, which is really funny as I vowed to never have an August baby again after the heat and swollen feet I experienced with my first πŸ˜‚

What do we think for this line at 9dpo? May be 10dpo, I’m torn between 2 days based on LH tests

Yes, I’m in Coventry. My first pregnancy was initially under George Eliot (Nuneaton) but they moved me to professor Quenby at 34 weeks due to fibroids. I think I can just be with her team immediately this time.

Thanks for sharing the joining links. What's the difference between the Facebook group and the WhatsApp group?

Based on my last group, we used the fb group to share bump pictures, ask questions like β€œany 1st birthday present ideas” etc and share birth stories. It was a much larger group. WhatsApp was general chatting in a much smaller group and friendships and meet ups came from there.

Xur · 10/12/2025 07:23

Hi,

Congratulations to the newcomers and happy your scan went great @mummatara! x

So today I did my last test. I’m not going to be testing anymore. Last week on this day I got 2-3 weeks and today morning it was showing 3+ weeks.
My symptoms are continuing with their every other day program. Smell aversion kicked in on Sunday, we went to a Christmas market and some of the stalls (food and oil infused air refreshers) made me πŸ₯΄.
Then Monday was just another nausea onset day, morning was intense, I was sitting on the loo and I felt like this is about come out both ends now. (Sorry graphic). My taste changed, made pancakes knowing very well how they should taste but not feeling the taste and not liking the non taste I was having from it.
Same day tried a vanilla/almond Danish and could not taste it apart from the sugar.
Yesterday I was having Doritos off of a melted block of cheese straight on the hob so that’s where we are at and also I’m eating baby pineapple/coconut milk puddings like it’s the best thing under the sun. Very odd.
With my first around this time I was all about dairy high in calcium-mozarella, ricotta, burratta and I did not want any meat last time. This time I am still enjoying the meat.
Melted mature cheddar on a plain Dorito is definitely a novelty to my diet in general.

I hope everyone is doing fine?

BunnyWilliams · 10/12/2025 07:56

@apt72That line looks really great for 9dpo! Congratulations!

BunnyWilliams · 10/12/2025 08:01

@Xur Oh I feel you on the Christmas market smells! I went on Sunday and it wasn't a good idea. So many food trucks pumping out greasy cooking air. It was like running the gauntlet 🀒

Not a vibe is it! I’m also sensitive to people passing by with a cigarette 😩

katek88 · 10/12/2025 10:06

Hey everyone! Just got a very unexpected positive, I think I’m about 4+1, due around 14th Aug from my suspected ovulation date.

hope you’re all doing okay xxx
