Hey, anyone else due July 2026? I got my first faint positive at 10dpo on Thursday 23rd October, I’m now 14dpo/4 weeks pregnant. Feeling nervous as still very early my period was due tomorrow. I’ve booked an early scan for in a few weeks so hopefully everything is all good, now just an anxious wait

I will be 12 weeks on Monday 22nd Dec so really crossing my fingers! Booking appointment is the 12th Dec... I'll ask very nicely!

5+4 today so delighted to join! Also due 6th July.

I know it's so area dependent but what do you reckon the chances are of a 12 week pre-Christmas NHS scan? I didn't know you had to have 2 weeks between scans and I was going to go private just for some holiday reassurance...

I’m not even 4 weeks yet so don’t want to plan too far in advance but I will most likely book a private scan just before Christmas as I’d like to tell family knowing touch wood everything looks great on the scan so far! x

Elephantscantjump · 07/11/2025 19:18

Haha so many wasted MCR tickets! I looked at self referring to maternity services today but chickened out. It feels so real and so unreal at the same time!

Stitchwizz · 07/11/2025 19:51

I just put my referral in, I tick a fair few high risk boxes so I'd rather get the ball rolling. I'll be asking for an 8 week scan as well given my history

Threecheersfor26 · 07/11/2025 20:53

I also popped in mine too as I have underlying health conditions.

At what point are people planning to share their news?

I'd love to keep it until Christmas but I have a massive gob.

Also worried of 'why aren't you drinking' at festive activities.

nekophoenix · 07/11/2025 21:19

Haha all the MCR chat made me chuckle. I used to love that band but here my husband and I are booking tickets to Kinky Boots and other plays and musicals 🤣 fortunately nothing booked past end of April! We are big into travel so I’ve been looking up when and where we could feasibly fly to for our last trip as a two and after when I’ll need a fit to fly note. A couple of our friends had babies 4 / 5 weeks early so I am NOT taking that lightly as a possibility!

theskyisopalite · 07/11/2025 21:24

I'm hoping to tell my boss and close friends at 12 weeks then more widely after 20.

I haven't decided when to tell my mum though. She's a terrible worrier so it would probably be kinder to wait until the 12 week scan, but I do want her to know first, before anyone guesses at a Christmas night out or something!

I am so thankful I had Beetlejuice tickets for the end of may on the weekend after opening!

We are also thinking the same on holidays.

Debating if we can get another USA trip in (or two) ...despite only coming back last month!

Salamander91 · 07/11/2025 23:13

Gutted for you all missing MCR. I wanted to go but they aren't coming to Ireland. I did have to sell my take that tickets though. We'll just say my music taste is eclectic šŸ˜‚

I've booked a private scan for 7+6. I can't bring myself to self refer yet. I'm diabetic so they'll have me in every fortnight once I do!

That’s what we’re thinking, too. A US city break with some nature / chill / spa time thrown in to make it a week / 10 day break. Conscious of not travelling to states where health care may differ in respect to approach to any pregnancy complications without first researching, is all.

Juicytoot287 · 08/11/2025 06:00

My booking scan is so early (I’ll be 7 weeks)! But I’m hopeful that means my dating scan it before Christmas now. If it’s not I’ll book private so we can share the news.

im worried if the dating scan is early (eg10weeks) ill want another anyway to feel more reassured at 12…

Elephantscantjump · 08/11/2025 07:02

My lovely partner booked us a surprise holiday for first week of May but I don't think I'll feel comfortable going at 30/31 weeks.

I've told my 2 closest friends already šŸ˜‚ as they've been so supportive through everything else we've gone through so far and if anything happens I'll want them to know. Everyone else we're going to try and wait until 12 weeks.

Had the weirdest seasickness sensation overnight, totally fine while lying still but the nausea when I turned over was quite something!

I've also totally freaked myself out about the fact I have a high bmi and how the healthcare professionals are going to be šŸ¤¦šŸ¼ā€ā™€ļø , hopefully the anxiety is just in my head.

Limmers14 · 08/11/2025 07:53

Morning everyone! Congratulations to all! I’m joining from the IVF page and wow it feels weird to post this but I’m 4w4d! I had my beta yesterday at the clinic which came back at 311 which is super strong. Going in again on Monday to check that it’s doubled and little embryo is doing what it needs to do 😊

I think the clinic will do a scan at 7 weeks and then they discharge me to the NHS. I must ask if I should self-refer before that though to try get a scan before Christmas…

Does anyone else on this thread take routine medications?

I’m prescribed naproxen, lanzoprasol, co-codamol and sertaline (200mg).

I’m worried about taking these but is it too early to speak to my GP about this?

i’m 4w and 3 days so extremely early!

i also conceived on mounjaro (which I have stopped since finding out!) so wondering who I made aware of that too.

I take lansoprazole and that's fine. I'd be checking with your GP about the others though to be safe

I’m on Venlafaxin & was throughout my previous pregnancy. I also take montelukast and stopped this in my previous pregnancy but have found out it is safe so will be speaking to my gp about it.

i would suggest speak to your gp Monday and find out but you can check medications on bumps website which tells you what’s pregnancy safe etc

Anyone else super anxious? I have ZERO symptoms. I felt worst with my three miscarriages. Got myself in a tizz at work today and got a bit click happy on Amazon. Got these at 19dpo.

It hasn't helped. Now I'm worried about a molar or twins šŸ˜‚

Me, I'm mega mega anxious.

sorry to hear about your previous MC.

I had been on contraception for 10+ years and had been taking mounjaro and fell pregnant the first night of having 'unprotected' sex.

I feel like its too good to be true and constantly on edge!!

Wow that's impressive! I was on wegovy to lose some weight from my first two kids but not recently. I do fall pregnant mega easily. Just have a hard time keeping them. This is my third pregnancy this year. I've told myself If this doesn't work out we are done....

I've lost over 10 stone, it honestly changed my life.

I feel like I'm just waiting for something to go wrong and can't stop checking tests...

Wishing you the best luck for a healthy pregnancy

Wow, well done. I was trying to bring my weight down so bmi was better before my infertility appointment in Feb but now have a positive test!

It doesn't feel real at all!
Wishing everyone a smooth pregnancy journey šŸ¤žšŸ»

I am also in the ā€œon edgeā€ camp having been lucky to conceive in the first month of trying. We feel so fortunate but as if we are in a bubble that could burst any moment. I realised this week that I haven’t been taking folate / folic acid and have read mixed things online about when to take it. Some say until end of first trimester (which is another 6/7 weeks away), others say the development it aims to assist with is passed at week 7/8 so there’s not a huge point in taking it past that point. Confused!

Congratulations on the positive test! It's a strange one for sure isn't it, Happy but wary.

I think the nhs recommends up to 12 weeks so that's what I'll probably follow. It's likely one of those that it doesn't do harm to take longer even if the absolute benefits are peak a few weeks less.
