Hey, anyone else due July 2026? I got my first faint positive at 10dpo on Thursday 23rd October, I’m now 14dpo/4 weeks pregnant. Feeling nervous as still very early my period was due tomorrow. I’ve booked an early scan for in a few weeks so hopefully everything is all good, now just an anxious wait

@SummerSolstice25thank you, that's good to know. Hoping some symptoms do return soon as that would really help me worrying

souiii · 15/12/2025 17:00

Has anyone had quite heavy bleeding that stopped with 20 minutes and still been pregnant? I've had this and terrified, waiting for someone to call me back

At 11 weeks with my son. I already had a previous MMC so was terrified. Bled for about an hour quite heavy and had a scan the next day with nhs and he was fine, he is 3 now.

That's so reassuring, I spoke to a doctor and they said that it starting and stopping relatively quickly was also reassuring. Hopefully in for a scan tomorrow morning to see if little bean is hanging on in there

@Allsigns gosh this sounds so familiar! I’m praying and waiting for it to get better for us soon! I’m 12w on Thursday so praying for this to tail off. When I had a scan at 11w, there was still a yolk sac so maybe my placenta isn’t fully taken over yet for both babies and that’s making me still so sick. However!!! I managed to eat a dinner this evening which is progress and do some dishes even.

also to those without symptoms - had basically none with my first (realise now what a blessing that was) and had a very pleasant pregnancy - this one I think I’ll just mope and moan at this rate haha

EllieWales · 15/12/2025 19:54

@souiii I’m in a similar position had some very light spotting on Friday which stopped quickly then last night when I wiped had a lot of blood like period heavy but then it stopped again within the hour. It’s so scary, I do remember having some light spotting with my son and he was fine so I’m trying to stay positive. I have a scan with EPU tomorrow too, let us know how you get on and hope you’re ok!

Andrasa · 16/12/2025 07:58

Very ready for this tiredness to go away. I’m also starving every few hours so I’m scared to check my weigh, especially with so many nice things in for Christmas. 🫣

Fingers crossed for you, it's very alarming isn't it. I have a scan on Thursday morning

Curiousrobin · 16/12/2025 09:15

Sorry to those with bleeding. It definitely isn't always a cause for concern. Ironically, I had a lot more bleeding with my son than I've had with my 2 losses. I pretty much bled throughout the whole first trimester with him - from brown blood, to period-like bleeding, and then the scariest time was a massive sudden gush at night which woke me up and soaked the sheets. He was absolutely fine. I wasn't even given a reason why it happened. With my losses, I had no bleeding. Only found out I was losing/had lost them when I was scanned.

PolarJadeite · 16/12/2025 10:43

I've just had some spotting this morning, with some minor cramping too. Annoyingly I can't self refer to the EPU so have had to message my GP, hoping they'll refer me asap!

EllieWales · 16/12/2025 14:56

Gosh @Curiousrobin a gush sounds very scary but glad it turned ok and thanks for the reassurance. I’ve been down to EPU, baby is ok and I haven’t had anymore spotting thankfully.

@souiii @PolarJadeite hope you’re both feeling ok and hoping everything goes ok for you both. Try not to worry too much although I know it’s so much easier said than done

Betty208 · 16/12/2025 19:15

Hi ladies,
Hope everybody is doing well??

Really uncomfortable evening it’s turning into for me… aches and just general heavy feeling to lower stomach. Hoping just ligament pain but never a nice feeling is it x

LittleWrenUK · 16/12/2025 19:25

I've been spotting since Friday, and
saw the GP today (lovely man but didnt have a clue) who told me to ring EPU. Just spoke to an excellent nurse there who said because the scan I had at the weekend showed a healthy 8w embryo that it's likely everything is fine and it's known as a threatened miscarriage. She said the bleed could be leftover from implantation that has just started working it's way out or a blood clot near the sac.

I also found a good NHS leaflet here for any others in a similar position. Sending love xxx www.swbh.nhs.uk/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/Threatened-miscarriage-ML4609.pdf

souiii · 16/12/2025 20:07

Thanks for the reassurance everyone. The bleeding hasn't started again so taking that as a good sign, just having some brown blood when I wipe so assuming it is just the bleed from yesterday working it's way out. My abdomen just feels quite sore and like it's been churned. Still got all the pregnancy symptoms but we have lost the pregnancy I guess I still would for at least a few days.

Catlady1991 · 16/12/2025 21:13

Another one for spotting here 😬

I am 10 weeks pregnant today. Over the weekend I had mild period like cramping radiating to my groin. Since becoming pregnant I have had a lot of cervical mucus, yesterday the cramping had died down but I have noticed a slight tan/brown tint to it which I have not had before, no increase in the amount of CM. I have had 2 scans this pregnancy one on 30/12 (7w5d) and one on Sunday (9w5d) both have been great. Sunday’s showed that the baby had doubled in size and had a strong heartbeat (like it did 2 weeks ago) and was wriggling around waving their arms…. should I be concerned? I no longer have cramping.

Spoke to EPU who advised to monitor over the next few days and if it gets worse/doesn’t stop then I should call back and they’ll get me an appointment

blossomhoney2 · 17/12/2025 08:36

Sorry to hear about the bleeding / spotting for lots of you. It must be a bit worrying, keeping my fingers crossed everything is ok and you can all get some reassurance. šŸ’œ

Can somebody post the Facebook group link please? I’m being dim and can’t find it. Thanks!

I am in the group (but there's only a couple there so far!) But I can't seem to post a link. I can only invite people to join if they are already my FB friends. The link was originally posted maybe 7-10 days ago šŸ¤”

Andrasa · 17/12/2025 10:32

Twelve week scan tomorrow! Even though I had one at eight weeks and no issues since, I still feel weirdly nervous. I guess it’s just because I have no real indications I’m pregnant (other than being tired and hungry) and I don’t think my weight has changed much yet.

I am in same boat with approaching 10 weeks and spotting pink last night. Also had scan Friday and lots of previous scans which has shown everything progressing as should be. Despite the reassurance I find it so hard to be chill when I see spotting! I've spotted throughout my pregnancy so far and they've put it down to cervical irritation, I'm on progesterone pessaries and did use thrush pessary the night before so I wonder if that's all just irritated everything. Ive been told to keep an eye but that spotting can be normal- it's never ending anxiety! Also had cramping yesterday but did read at this stage it can be stretching of uterus/ligament pain? I've definitely felt more 'tight' the last few days. Do you have another scan booked?

PolarJadeite · 17/12/2025 13:08

EPU have booked me in for a scan on the 23rd to check everything is ok since I've started spotting - a week just feels an age away! Really hoping its nothing to worry about but I can't help feeling pessimistic

Allsigns · 17/12/2025 13:49

@PolarJadeite fingers crossed for you! Appreciate it's very anecdotal but I've had some spotted and everything was fine, had something where the cells were appearing on the outside of the cervix which apparently can be very normal. Was just told to avoid horse riding and sex till at least 12 weeks.

With my first pregnancy I didn't even realise I was pregnant as I was having what I thought were periods (I didn't track anything back then and was living a manic life so the fact that my cycle suddenly became longer/shorter/more sporadic didn't even register) right up until about 18 weeks. Was a big surprise to realise I was in fact almost 4 months pregnant!!

Allsigns · 17/12/2025 13:56

The food aversions/cravings are fascinating me this week! Usually I'm a veggie with a real sweet tooth, but for the last two months I've not wanted anything remotely sugary (not even squash in water!) and I am loving beef. I've never liked red meat, even as a child, so this is very strange. I keep seeing things I'd usually love to eat and my brain goes 'mm I'd love a mince pie' but then very swiftly followed by my body going 'don't even think about it!!'.

It's all rather bizarre how swiftly and extremely things can change isn't it? Making me wonder if it's another boy as I wanted salads with my son and all the sweet treats with my daughter. We're keeping it as a surprise though, so long time till we find out!

Anyone else having aversions/cravings?

SoftLaunch · 17/12/2025 14:11

@Allsigns ive not had anything too wild this time round but it seems to vary so much day to day that its keeping me
on my toes. If I go to make a quick bowl of pasta or noodles I have to look at each potential ingredient and give it a sniff before I decide if it can go in the bowl or not!
