Hey, anyone else due July 2026? I got my first faint positive at 10dpo on Thursday 23rd October, I’m now 14dpo/4 weeks pregnant. Feeling nervous as still very early my period was due tomorrow. I’ve booked an early scan for in a few weeks so hopefully everything is all good, now just an anxious wait

Hi all, I'm 9 weeks today and haven't had loads of symptoms so far but they seem to have disappeared the last day or so, apart from my boobs still feeling bigger they also aren't as sore.

has anyone else had this? I know it could be due the placenta taking over more or just general fluctuating symptoms but it's still a bit worrying...

I had a scan at 7 weeks +2 and everything was good

LittleWrenUK · 14/12/2025 07:03

Had a bit of a scare Friday night as I started spotting. Booked in for a private scan as EPU couldn't see me until Tues and the little bean was absolutely fine at 8w. The sonographer said that it was most likely implantation bleeding which they tend to see about 7-9 weeks - I thought this happened much earlier! But feeling very relieved. Has anyone else had something similar?

On a side note can anyone recommend a good pair of leggings for yoga?

Greengardener1 · 14/12/2025 10:00

I'm probably over analysing this but I'm having one of those mornings. Ive had quite a few scans at epu over this pregnancy due to MC history. On one scan I measured 5 weeks, I had a scan exactly 1 week later and measured 6 +4, then I had a scan a few days ago (so about 19 days later) and measured 8 +6 (but going by previous scan i should be 9+1) is this normal for growth to be variable each time and not be bang on each time? I know its only a couple of days. I was told they're not concerned and as so early on This can happen, but my heads having a moment this morning, as nausea has been getting worse, so has my eating and now worrying if this is having an impact 🫠

SoftLaunch · 14/12/2025 10:10

@Greengardener1 yeah it's very normal early on as the baby is so small that it's hard to measure accurately. It doesn't necessarily mean that your baby's growth is up and down, more so that the measurements that are being taken are not all the same level of accuracy. The more scans you have, all presumably with different sonographers, the more you'll be seeing that variation play out in your results.

I had a private scan last week and it was wild seeing the way the week+days measurement swings up and down as the sonographer decides exactly where to place the dots on the screen!

I think it's also normal for there to be peaks and troughs in baby's growth. They definitely have growth spurts- I remember from last pregnancy that I'd get random ravenous days when baby was growing faster!

Struggling so bad with food aversions šŸ˜‚ I do not want any dinners at home at all šŸ˜‚ but I absolutely cannot afford takeaways on a super regular basis, never mind the unhealthiness of doing that 🤣

I have had the same , I am 11+2 but symptoms dropped about 3/4 days ago and I am really worrying as miscarriage history. I have my 12 weeks scan this week coming so fingers crossed everything is ok, I just ā€˜feel’ different. Which isn’t good ! 🤨 do you have another scan coming up soon at all ? I am sure everything will be fine as I have researched and read so many post where other ladies feel the same drop and everything was absolutely fine, so it is completely normal for symptoms to come and go and drop off but I get it doesn’t stop the worrying at all, completely understand where you are coming from and sending you lots of positive vibes 🧔

Babyno2duejuly2026woo · 14/12/2025 16:45

9 weeks 1 day today - just had a scan as had a MMC with twins at 9 weeks and everything was perfect!

To anyone that has lost symptoms and worrying, it can be really normal I know it’s hard not to worry when you’re the one going through it. In my experience having symptoms also doesn’t = healthy baby. I had awful sickness with my twins and they miscarried but sickness disappeared with my son and he was absolutely fine xx

I would 100% eat a McDonald’s right now but the thought of home cooked food makes me sick

Juicytoot287 · 14/12/2025 16:52

Food aversions are the worst! I’m less so on cravings but against it all lol. I’m really hoping to be joining the symptoms loss soon as it’s flooring me. I’m 11w 3d at the moment but not slowed yet. It does come and go in waves.

i also so particularly enjoy sour sweets atm like tangfastics - could do with some healthy cravings now ha

I am the same I get a tad jealous of those with no sickness but at the same time if I get a good day I worry about baby so it’s catch 22

I’m only 8 weeks so potentially a while to go šŸ˜‚ my nausea isn’t horrendous, I just feel permanently ā€˜off’ and have no focus or concentration, smells make my stomach turn and I’m very tired! I also feel a bit low some days at the moment - I think it’s obviously hormones but also starting to be a bit depressing having such little energy. Feel like all I do is go to work, come home and drop, then weekends I just need to rest 80% of the time, feels a bit wasteful sometimes 🄺 I know it won’t last forever though. Anyone else feeling like this?
Hoping I start to improve in the new year 😫

Definitely agree on the tiredness. Hard to find the usual joy in fun things when all I want to do is be unconscious! My overall nausea has definitely eased at 11 weeks but I am now every few days dry retching more - out of nowhere - and sometimes being a teeeeeny bit sick but nothing crazy. It’s like my body is acting upon the feeling of sickness but wants to hold on to as much food as possible - kinda gross but does make it easier to pop a mint afterwards…

Feel you on all of those things. My husband is picking up 95% of the housework etc but I spend all my time feeling guilty that all I feel capable of is lying down.

Sour/bitter foods are currently my go to, just eaten a load of lemon olives and salt and vinegar squares

summertime94 · 14/12/2025 19:28

@AmberRose26 thanks for the reassurance. My next scan isn't for another 3 weeks at 12 weeks. Really hoping everything is ok but it is hard not to notice every little thing going on in your body. Praying for some symptoms to return even if it means I feel slightly off again!

StayingHopefulx · 14/12/2025 20:37

Hey all! Pregnancy is totally kicking my butt šŸ˜‚ my house is not at all Christmassy and it is a messsss! No energy and nausea is horrific! Also my one year old is not sleeping great 😭😭 anyone else hanging on by a thread hahah

MaybePossiblyMaybe · 14/12/2025 21:45

I'm back!

After looking at my HCG the GP sent me for another scan, and the little bean was there, wiggling, measuring a little ahead of the dates, and with a flickering heart... So I'm still anxious, but at least a little reassured.

I have my first obstetrician appointment tomorrow, which is going to be interesting - I went as a midwife led public patient for my first, which was a disaster, so we've decided to go to the private system for this baby. It's very different though! We do booking in at 16 ish weeks with the midwife, but obstetricians get you in at 10-12 weeks. Cynically, I have to pay them for every appointment so of course they want me in more, but it will be good to be with a consultant of my choice this time (especially if the NIPT or 12 week scan are high risk)

This! He’s doing almost everything which makes me feel so guilty! I had a burst of energy yesterday and did some housework, then had to lie down the rest of the day šŸ˜‚ also so hard to keep it from colleagues now when I feel absolutely floored šŸ¤¦ā€ā™€ļø

@StayingHopefulx Me!! This is utterly miserable! I'm so dizzy I can barely keep my eyes open, don't feel safe driving and it's made so much worse by any form of screen so am struggling to work. Keep having headaches, nauseous 24/7, am sick if I eat before 11am or after about 4pm or anything too sweet, fatty or salty. I'll want to eat it, feel better for about 3 minutes and then everything gets worse for hours. I keep waking up in the middle of the night to wretch then I'm awake for ages. Smells tip me over the edge. We usually have a slow cooker on overnight but I can't stomach the house smelling like food. Seem to manage to feel tired just at the minute I need to collect the kids from school šŸ˜‚However small mercies that we are out of the tiny people not sleeping stage, I feel for you, it's rough!

Luckily fresh air seems to help so feeling very grateful it's winter and I live in the cool North of England!

Doodlestar · 15/12/2025 09:59

Hi everyone,

Sorry for all the ongoing struggles, hopefully it eases for us all in the coming weeks! My nausea comes and goes, has been better recently thank goodness.
I'm 8w +1 now, we had an early scan on Saturday and great to see all measuring fine and a little heartbeat šŸ’“

I've got my booking appointment in January at 11w, and just phoned to ask about my scan. They'll tell me that appointment at the booking one, apparently. That's a change from the system used in my first pregnancy and annoying because it will be pretty short notice for us both to be away from work. Also, there was nothing on the booking letter to tell me that, so I had to waste their time phoning to ask.

I do find the NHS systems all very clunky and not patient friendly at all!! Need to have a think about how to best word my concerns (based on my first pregnancy) when I see the midwife in a few weeks...!

88claire · 15/12/2025 10:59

Hi everyone. Private scan this morning (wanted one before Christmas as the 12 week isn't until the 29th). Looking good, one day ahead of my dates - doing somersaults so the photos are awful šŸ˜‚. Heart rate 152.

I had a missed miscarriage at 10 weeks 2 days and I'm currently 10 weeks 1 day so an anxious two weeks now. But feeling a bit better for now!

SummerSolstice25 · 15/12/2025 12:04

@summertime94 I don’t have many symptoms at all but around 9 weeks the only symptoms that I did have (sore boobs and bloating) completely disappeared for about 2 days. It really freaked me out, my stomach actually looked flat. Everything was fine and those two symptoms came back. Had a scan at 10 weeks for the NIPT and everything was ok. I’m now 11+6 and having my 12 week scan on Wednesday. Symptoms are gone again but I’m not going to get into a panic over it again. Every day and every person is so different is what I’m learning. I feel like the only person who hasn’t had any real nausea, which obviously is great but at the same time that caused me anxiety also in the early weeks! I’m trying to choose calmness going forward.

I didn't feel nauseous at all with the last two and all was well! Everyone is different as you say :) not a one size fits all experience.

Can somebody post the Facebook group link please? I’m being dim and can’t find it. Thanks!

blossomhoney2 · 15/12/2025 15:50

@Limmers14 aww I can totally sympathize, I hope the counseling helped? I never got round to counseling but I think it would have helped me during my first round of treatment. I found IVF the first time around back in 2022 absolutely horrible, such a rollercoaster of emotions and I genuinely thought I’d be childless forever. Luckily it produced my son after one egg retrieval and two transfers (and one cancelled egg retrieval due to getting covid 🫠). This time it’s been a lot ā€œeasierā€ because I only did transfers from frozen embryos. I had 3 in the freezer from 2022 - one didn’t stick, one didn’t survive being ā€œdefrostedā€ and the final one is the one I’m currently pregnant with. The drugs this time sent me a bit crazy but nothing too bad- I had a few shouting episodes with DH and was feeling very emotional (lots of tears!), but I knew it was all the synthetic hormones having a big effect. Really hoping this one sticks and I don’t need to do any more egg retrievals because I’m almost 39 and the thought of going through that process again exhausts and depresses me. Is this your first? Keeping my fingers crossed for you! They never told me why I couldn’t get pregnant (always unexplained) but the nurse at my last transfer said she thought it looked like I had endometriosis which actually made me happy that there was some explanation.

I hope everyone is doing well! I’m enjoying all the updates. Did you find out the gender on your nipt test @SummerSolstice25? Hope you’re doing ok @EllieWalesšŸ’œ luckily no thrush in sight for me @Greengardener1but I hope it gets sorted for you!

Today is the first day I haven’t felt nauseous for a week, DH is very happy that I’m feeling more normal as he’s basically been doing absolutely everything - childcare, cooking, cleaning, washing, early mornings, the lot. I hope it’s now the end of that - I’m 12 weeks on 25th December and can’t wait! Bring on second trimester .. we’ve got this girls!

SummerSolstice25 · 15/12/2025 16:27

@blossomhoney2 no it was an option to find out the gender which I thought was wild considering so early but we opted not to. It’s our first pregnancy so we’re kind of enjoying the element of mystery for now anyway! Glad you don’t feel nauseous anymore. I can’t say I’ve suffered much at all but I’m not myself, I can’t pinpoint it but I don’t feel well, despite not actually feeling sick!
