Hey, anyone else due July 2026? I got my first faint positive at 10dpo on Thursday 23rd October, I’m now 14dpo/4 weeks pregnant. Feeling nervous as still very early my period was due tomorrow. I’ve booked an early scan for in a few weeks so hopefully everything is all good, now just an anxious wait

What a fucking whirlwind - I’ve just come out of my scan.

turns out I was pregnant on twins, miscarried one and still carrying the other with a heartbeat and growing.

my head feels so scrambled and mixed.

I don’t know to laugh or cry

Wow! What a rough time you’re having. I’m so sorry for the loss you have had but also so happy for you that you still have a baby in there. I can’t possibly begin to understand the mix of emotions. I hope you’re okay and you have lots of support around you! Xxx

Andrasa · 28/11/2025 19:04

Think I might be the earliest purchaser of a pregnancy pillow ever, but the bbhugme keeps getting recommended and it was in the Black Friday sale so. If nothing else turns out it’s great for propping myself up on the sofa for tv watching 🤣

SoftLaunch · 28/11/2025 19:10

@Andrasa ooh I can't wait to get my bbhugme out of the loft again! Though my partner will not be glad to see its return. It makes a great barrier to ward off middle of the night spooning attempts when you're overheating and grumpy 🤣

If the Black Friday price is still too high for anyone there's also always loads on vinted- I got mine off there and it was good as new.

Doodlestar · 28/11/2025 20:39

@Threecheersfor26 oh I'm so sorry you've been going through so much, what a rollercoaster. Hope you are doing okay (considering).

Will there be any further extra monitoring in the next few weeks for you given what's happened?

I got my first midwife appt in the post today, not til January which feels so far! Will be 11 or so weeks by then all being well. Assume I'll get a scan appointment sent seperately too, it's at a different hospital. They seem to have changed their system since my first pregnancy as last time it was a phone referral, this time I had a detailed questionnaire to fill in for self referral online.

Catlady1991 · 29/11/2025 11:04

Hi all,

Ive been reading this thread but haven’t commented yet. Currently 7 weeks 4 days (according to LMP) got a private scan booked for tomorrow. The anxiety is real

88claire · 29/11/2025 11:09

Turns out my hospital are super efficient. I was discharged from the EPU (on progesterone) on Thursday and got my midwife and scan appointments through yesterday. 29th Dec for the scan and 19th for midwife.

Christmas will be interesting keeping it quiet. I have told my sister as will need help getting hold of non alcoholic beverages!

DaLouO · 29/11/2025 18:36

Just as my anxiety had calmed down I’ve woken up this morning and had another lot of brown spotting every time I’ve wiped all day it’s been there. I’m not sure whether it’s the transvaginal scan at epu on Tuesday that’s caused it or disturbed something as it did feel very uncomfortable or if it’s something more untoward I called epu earlier but they said because my last scan was perfect and they have no other concerns that they wouldn’t intervene now unless I am in pain or filling a pad with bright red blood. Finding it hard to calm down now xxx

Oh wow, congratulations! Big shock but amazing! Hope you are OK.

Bang on six weeks here and the sickness has kicked in hard this morning. Never had it in my first pregnancy at all, I got away so lucky!

AliceinSlumberland · 30/11/2025 10:50

Hi all, tentatively joining at 6 weeks today. This is baby number 2, I have a 2 and a half year old. Both times we’d started to look at IVF when I fell pregnant so feeling very lucky and anxious at the same time. I’m still in the WhatsApp group formed from my little boys birth thread and we’ve had meet ups and all sorts, it’s been really lovely.

I got away lightly with my son and had hardly symptoms but this time I’m nauseous and tired, today it’s really hit me! I’m self employed so have little choice but to plough through, especially if I want any sort of maternity leave! I had a really complex pregnancy first time round and have had my booking appointment through for Thursday when I’ll be 6 and a half weeks, feels so early but maybe they looked at my notes and thought oh for god sake šŸ˜‚

Early scan at 8 weeks on 16th December, feels like an age away!!! Hope everyone’s doing okay, @Juicytoot287 congrats on your twins, did this pregnancy feel different to the last? Did you have stronger tests or anything?

@DaLouO hope today is an easier day for you and it subsides x

Juicytoot287 · 30/11/2025 10:53

Hi everyone

im still in some shock! The symptoms have been awful this time - so tired and nauseous and had none of this with my first so it’s clearly because of the twins.

they were both measuring 9wk 1day (what I expected) and beating away so it’s all looking very promising. We didn’t do the Christmas reveal as planned because we were in such shock we have shared this with family already. My mom not long passed away and she always said our family had missed twins so it feels a sign. However going from 1 to 3 will be a SHOCK.

blossomhoney2 · 30/11/2025 14:02

Congratulations @Juicytoot287twins is amazing! I can imagine it’s a shock, but hopefully also wonderful for you!

today has been the worst day so far in terms of pregnancy symptoms. I’m absolutely exhausted. Feel like my body has been hit by a bus, just had a nap and some pizza so feeling slightly more human, but so glad today is the weekend and not a workday.. not sure how it’s going to be if I feel like this next week too. This tiredness is unreal! Hope everyone else is coping ok!

88claire · 30/11/2025 22:12

Anyone else around 8 weeks or on subsequent pregnancies and not feeling too bad?! I keep expecting it to ramp up and I feel pretty good! I definitely want to sleep more, boobs slightly sore but the nausea is so so so mild I barely notice it! I felt a lot worse with my two kids and DEFINITELY with my missed miscarriage. I mean long may it continue I just find it strange how good I feel. Saw a heartbeat 3 days ago so assume all is ok...

Please don't take this as rubbing people's noses in it - I've been through three where I felt dreadful and know how awful it can be x

AliceinSlumberland · 30/11/2025 22:16

@blossomhoney2 felt exactly the same, today has been the worst so far, completely exhausted, even had a nap which is not like me at all!! Really hoping I can drag myself through work this week!!

@88claire I felt like that with my son, in fact I had no nausea at all and no real tiredness! I remember googling it at the time but all was well! I really do think every pregnancy must be totally different which is mad really!

Clarysjb · 30/11/2025 22:21

Has anyone had any nausea/sickness start? I’m 5+4 and having read lots of comments on Reddit it seems to start weeks 6/7. I’m literally terrified of it beginning (I know I might be lucky and escape but odds are I won’t!)

We’ve booked a Christmas market trip in Europe in two weeks and we’re travelling to family for Christmas and so worried I’m going to be miserable

Greengardener1 · 30/11/2025 22:29

Juicytoot287 · 28/11/2025 13:23

@Threecheersfor26 oh my goodness! What an absolute rollercoaster of emotions. I think feeling both relief and grief in this are so confusing, conflicting but absolutely possible and even expected! take time to process whatever and ask to be referred to the mental heath perinatal team if you need this during your pregnancy. I hope all else goes smoothly for you!!!

side note - 9 weeks here. I have tickets to a concert tonight (Five) and I’m a bit worried - we are seated and I will avoid crowds as best I can - I’ve read it’s safe to go but there’s no concrete advice. Surely this is fine? It’s only for a few hours

I went to see five the other week and had seated tickets, planned to sit through it but couldn't help but get up and dance šŸ˜‚ definitely was great for my mental health. I have tickets for mumford and sons this week and despite the increasing nasuea I am determined to make it šŸ˜‚ Just take the pace as what feels comfortable for you!

StayingHopefulx · 30/11/2025 23:22

Hey all I’ve been kind of mia again, after pain last week constantly, a couple days later I had a small bleed & then passed some clots, got referred for scan urgently in epu, couldn’t find a reason for bleed but also couldn’t hear heartbeat as being so early, they could see a flutter and said it didn’t look like it had affected the pregnancy! Back this Friday for another scan should be 7w 6d so hoping to hear a healthy heartbeat!! šŸ¤žšŸ»šŸ¤žšŸ»šŸ¤žšŸ»šŸ¤žšŸ»

MaybePossiblyMaybe · 01/12/2025 04:53

Agh just been to the loo and wiped to see beige discharge on the paper 😭

Dating ultrasound tomorrow, so just crossing my fingers that it all looks OK when we're there and the discharge is something not to be worried about. Right now it's all I'm worried about!

I'm 6 weeks today and I've had sickness off and on - the main culprit is having an empty stomach for me

Definitely make sure you eat little and often, and carry some crackers around with you! I went away to see a gig over the weekend and they were a lifesaver. Take every opportunity to rest and drink plenty of fluids

Thank you, I have noticed that when I’m hungry and haven’t eaten for 4/5 hours it starts to creep up so will be keeping crackers in a Tupperware beside me!

Allsigns · 01/12/2025 10:43

Hey all, can I join? 7 weeks with baby #3. Feeling a tad rotten tbh. Sailed through my first pregnancy feeling like a goddess šŸ˜‚Second I had a bit of nausea at the start and insomnia later on but was otherwise fine. This time...ugh! Constant nausea and insomnia from what felt like day one, retching and being physically sick which is new for me, really super sensitive to smells and totally off anything remotely sugary, plus had some intense abdominal cramping which saw me doubled over catching my breath. Went to the hospital it was so bad but apparently there's nothing wrong at all so was sent home. Plus some other symptoms which might be a bit tmi. I'm vegetarian but am craving fatty, salty meats like sausages and bacon. I'm used to quite enjoying being pregnant so this is all a bit of a shock to the system!

Clarysjb · 01/12/2025 11:00

Just had my booking appointment through, it’s not until I am 11+2 and I can’t get referred for my 12 week scan until then so does that mean it’ll be later than 12 weeks for that? I know they can do it up until 14 weeks I suppose.

jw97 · 01/12/2025 11:40

hey everyone! Sorry to hear of your loss @Threecheersfor26, what a difficult and emotional time for you. Sending hugs and hope you’re doing ok.

I had my flu vaccine on Friday and have my booking appointment in a couple of weeks. I’m 6+3, going to wait another week or so before booking a private scan, in the hope we can see plenty by then šŸ¤žšŸ¼

Nausea is just starting but it’s quite mild and like others say, also worst when I’m hungry! I’m SO tired though
