Hey, anyone else due July 2026? I got my first faint positive at 10dpo on Thursday 23rd October, I’m now 14dpo/4 weeks pregnant. Feeling nervous as still very early my period was due tomorrow. I’ve booked an early scan for in a few weeks so hopefully everything is all good, now just an anxious wait

Nausea and sickness has also got me today real bad, feel like it's worse than my previous pregnancy. The only way I could describe it to my husband is I feel like I'm really hungover 24/7. I think I will try and get some anti sickness from the GP on Monday.

I feel bad for my toddler that I'm not 100%, I might have to tell my mum I'm pregnant so she understands, I am just but anxious about telling people, has anyone told people (other than your partner) yet?

Juicytoot287 · 15/11/2025 19:23

@EL27 the same here, my partner is like a single parent part of the day because I can’t do anything when nausea hit. My meds say take as and when but some people are doing them consistently- maybe I’m doing it wrong, they do seem to help.

however it HIT again about 20 mins ago, it’s like I’m on a ship and one small move in gone haha.

i have had my tablet and some bread so will see if it wears down.

i haven’t told anyone. My mum passed away recently so she is who I would have told early. I want to wait for a later scan! My booking appt is tomorrow so hopefully I’ll have an idea of when scans are at the moment in my trust

Salamander91 · 15/11/2025 20:30

@EL27 my MIL and SIL know. I needed someone to watch my toddler on Friday while I had a scan at EPU because of bleeding. They would know if we miscarried anyway so doesn't hurt for them to know now.

Hi everyone, due around mid July and it's my first time pregnant! Have known for a week and still doesn't seem real - trying not to get too excited. Besides the cost what are the cons of paying for an 8 week scan?

Phoenix321 · 15/11/2025 21:43

Tentatively joining, due mid July according to calculator. BFP 4 days before af due as just felt 'different' and now 11 days on from that and still no af. Have no symptoms really other than very uncomfortable lower back and bloated abdomen with some twinges on left side. Can't remember what it feels like to feel pregnant. Debating whether to pay for an early scan or just sit tight and wait for 12 week scan.

Trashracoon · 16/11/2025 10:04

According to my lmp, I’m looking at around July 20th 🄺 (last af was October 13th, was five days late for this cycle and then got a bfp 😭) I’ve had 4 losses so I’m feeling overly cautious but I see my clinic next week which will hopefully ease some worry 😭

congratulations too! šŸ’•

Congratulations! I’m also due around middle of July all being well.

8 weeks is a good time to get an early scan - it’s not too early that be able to see anything or leave with uncertainty (if your dates are slightly off you can feel like you’re in limbo) but also makes the wait until your NHS 12 weeks scan feel less because you know you’re getting a scan in between. by eight weeks, you will see a little gummy bear looking baby on the screen. This is when I will personally be booking a scan x

For me personally, I want to check that everything is going well, especially with Christmas around the corner. I’ve had a previous loss so there’s no way that I could wait until the 12 weeks scan! X

Also forgot to mention that the risk of miscarriage goes down significantly after seeing a heartbeat on a scan @ eight weeks pregnant.

For anyone that’s into lush the kitchen box has been released for January and they have a very lavender/sleepy inspired box!

I think it would be a lovely as a lot of us will be heading into second trimester!

Anyone else feel like they look like they’re halfway there already?? The bloating is unreal and genuinely would pass for 20 weeks right now! 2nd pregnancy!

Phoenix321 · 16/11/2025 20:28

Yes I definitely look bloated and not sure how I'm going to keep it under wraps over Christmas especially as the fact I won't be drinking will make people suspicious!

Disgruntledpelicanlady · 16/11/2025 20:32

Feeling bleh today. So tired. Been vomiting. Been on my own with the toddler who has been a monster. Feeling a bit lonely with noone other than partner knowing but also not really wanting to share with anyone yet

Phoenix321 · 16/11/2025 20:38

Still doesn't feel real to me that there might actually be a baby coming along in July! Excited about when the time comes along to tell others but nervous too about how some may take it.

Phoenix321 · 16/11/2025 20:40

@Disgruntledpelicanlady toddlers can be full on at the best of times and very difficult if you're feeling bleurgh yourself. Hope you manage to get some rest and a good night's sleep.

Limmers14 · 16/11/2025 21:25

@EL27 describing the feeling as being hungover hits the nail on the head!

@EL27 describing the feeling as being hungover hits the nail on the head!

I described it that way to my husband and he suggested I take paracetamol and I then had to explain that wouldn’t help my symptoms… in a particularly upset state I later asked why creating life makes me feel like I am dying 😳😬 I honestly don’t know how people with HG cope. My mood is so low.

MaybePossiblyMaybe · 17/11/2025 06:27

I described feeling like I was hungover to my GP (icky, but not actually being sick) when I was pregnant with my first, and she looked horrified - I spent a while explaining that I didn't have one, it just felt like it!

Greengardener1 · 17/11/2025 15:39

I had my early scan today and everything seems where it should be and measuring where it should be at 5 weeks, which is reassuring. However had small spotting pink/brown this morning and clinic said whilst they aren't concerned, they have offered me cyclogest (progesterone) due to previous miscarriages. Is anyone else taking these pessaries? I had a transvaginal ultrasound so have had a bit more spotting after this but hoping that's just due to irritation and I know i have a cervical ectopy šŸ’•

I’m currently using 400mg of cyclogest and baby aspirin because of my history, it’s the second time I’ve used cyclogest now, and while they heighten my symptoms, I’ve had no adverse effects from them, I’m glad your scan seemed good though šŸ–¤

LoveHearts69 · 17/11/2025 17:26

Hi everyone! Parking here as I’ve had a surprise positive test last week! I’ll have a 4 and 2 year old when this baby is due so wish me luck šŸ˜‚ my app says I’m due around 18th July but I feel I probably conceived slightly later than it thinks! I’m getting quite excited at the prospect of another baby now though tbh! ā¤ļø

Whyowhomy · 17/11/2025 17:32

Mine is a surprise and my partner isn't sure how he feels yet. I haven't told anyone else but feeling very lonely. Desperately want this baby, so quite worried in case something happens as I don't think he'd then try for another. Waiting to hear from him what he wants šŸ˜”

Thanks so much for replying, midwife did say that I'll likely get stronger symptoms due to the progesterone, can't wait for that! I feel like id forgotten how much of a mind fuck early pregnancy is šŸ˜‚

TC2023 · 17/11/2025 19:31

I’m about 5 weeks now I think, just found out last week. Booked an early scan for 8 weeks so I am looking forward to that. We have a nearly 2 year old toddler and I had a very calm and lovely pregnancy with him but I am a nervous wreck this time around. I dread every time I pee in case I see something and just can’t seem to relax. Anyone else feel like this? I am hoping once I see a heartbeat šŸ¤žšŸ¼šŸ¤žšŸ¼ I will feel abit more relaxed.

Elephantscantjump · 17/11/2025 19:32

6w3d and the constipation is so awful! Eating fruit, drinking loads peppermint tea but its making my lower back so achy. If it doesn't ease up I'm going to have to talk to the GP

BunnyWilliams · 17/11/2025 20:47

Tentatively joining today after a BFP yesterday and today (11dpo today so still early). Due on the 29th July, so will likely be an August baby! I'm 36, almost 37 and this is baby number 4 - eek. When baby arrives we will have an 8, 6 and 4.5 year old. We only decided to go for a fourth about 5 weeks ago (although I've been thinking about it for about a year) so this feels very sudden, but we're very excited. We have a history of miscarriage (5 in the past), so I'll be holding my breath for the next 9 weeks or so.
Happy to be here! This all feels brand new since last time!
