Round ligament pain is kicking my butt today and everything is irritating me. Hoping I can turn the day around attitude wise but plan on a long soak later after work

Omg me too...had pain last night in bed when rolling over and then on and off all day today, and in my back too! Walking like an old lady🫣🤣x

TigerLily38 · 11/09/2025 18:30

Does anyone else's bump feel bloated/stretched/uncomfortable? Mine seems to have popped massively overnight and today I feel so stretched and uncomfortable, like when you eat way too much at Christmas and have to lie down in distress 🤣 x

MonsterBookOfTyson · 11/09/2025 18:57

My coccyx is hurting too.

peps2917 · 11/09/2025 20:06

@TigerLily38 mine does sometimes! It’s a very strange feeling isn’t it! But then it goes away… maybe it’s the bowels or something?!

I had my 20 week scan last week and have to go back tomorrow for an obstetrics appt as I’m under consultant care due to my fibroids. I assume that’s what the obstetrics appt actually is but not sure!! I’ve got a huge list of questions 🤣🤣

Mine was like this terrible for about a week around 20-21 weeks but it’s eased off this week.. felt like my skin was going to tear 😬

@peps2917 oh thats a good point!! It probably is everything all squished! 🤣 x

@Confusedmermaid1 Omg yes exactly this!! I'm glad its not just me haha🤣 It also looks insanely big tonight - I've got friends 2 months ahead of me who are smaller! 🫣🤣 x

Confusedmermaid1 · 11/09/2025 21:10

@TigerLily38 I’ve been told I’m ’carrying big’ by more than one person 🙄😂 my bump does still feel like it doubles in size in the evenings compared to when I first wake up..
moisturiser helped but I think it was just because it was nice and cool

peps2917 · 12/09/2025 20:29

I had my consultant appt today as I’m under consultant care due to my fibroids (I need to have a c section) and I was given the date for the c section and they booked me in!!!!! Can’t believe it!! 15th January!!

Oh wow! I have an appointment with one of my consultants later in the week and so hope they give a date for the section rather than waiting for 36 weeks to talk about it like I’ve heard tell

Wow that is organised! It’s nice you’ve got a date though so you have something to prepare for 😊
I remember with my last pregnancy they didn’t tell me until the week before 😕 I’m hoping they tell me at my consultant appointment in November this time

TigerLily38 · 12/09/2025 23:35

@peps2917 ahhh that's amazing!! So glad you've been booked in, bet it feels so real now haha! I have a consultant appt about an elective c section in October, but think that's just a consultation about it as friends who've had their baby there didnt get a date until 37 weeks 🙃😅 xx

I’ve been suffering with a bit of lower back / flank pain and it’s particularly bad this evening. I think it worries me as it feels similar to period pains! Has anyone else had this and know what causes it / any advice? Thank you

I’ve been getting this the last few days, especially after standing/sitting too long. Sorry I can’t offer any advice. I think possibly just all the muscles softening and the pressure of the growing baby/uterus. It’s not nice though 😞

I’ve started with rib pain too and can’t get comfortable 😓

I hope you get chance to rest up 😓 it’s awful, I really feel for you. I had it in a previous pregnancy and I remember crying a lot and feeling miserable.

I’ve seen some people buy those bump supports not sure if they help at all though. Hope it eases up soon! X

Has anyone started the process of sorting maternity leave out at work yet?

I am finding it complicated and every question I ask my manager they don’t have a clue of the answer or the process, which is stressing me out further

I’m using 12 days annual leave then go onto maternity 15th December. So I’m off from the end of November. Around 35 weeks. That might be changing though and I go off November depending on baby coming between 35-38 weeks! X

Can you go to HR? My manager hadn’t sorted a mat leave out before but luckily we have a clear policy that he has been following to the letter.

My MATB1 has been submitted and payroll informed that my last day at work will be 12 December with maternity leave starting the week after. I’ll be 36+5 on my last day but I’m prepared to start earlier if need be as my eldest came on 36+6

WanderWalker · 15/09/2025 14:54

Thanks everyone. Thats given me some sort of idea re maternity leave 😊

work have known I’m pregnant since May and haven’t even done a risk assessment 😐 just to give you all some sort of idea of what I’m working with in terms of getting sorted.

I’m looking at starting my maternity leave at 39 weeks (22nd dec) as I’m due to have a C-section then, but also want to take a couple of weeks annual leave before then. Unless they make an earlier appearance!

I’m gathering I don’t need to give them a return to work date until closer to the time?

I had my risk assessment last week - some of the things they came out with was stupid! Told me when I work from home and have to use the bathroom I need to make sure I hold the handrail when using the stairs 🙄😂

My bosses have known since May I was pregnant and still haven’t started to look for my replacement and I need time to train them up!!
