Ladies, how you all getting on? I’m over a week into my B12 supplements and still exhausted, reallly struggling to get through a workday, minimal focus and ability to just get on with it.
Feel like I’m a moaning myrtle but just can’t seem to get myself to a place where I feel like normal, functional human being. Have debated going off on sick leave again but feel guilty about it. Anyone else in same boat?

Still on 2 Xonvea a day for HG - scared to come off them incase the sickness returns.

My sickness been a lot better thankfully but don’t dare change my meds. Had my stitch put in today. All seemed to have gone well. Sorry to hear you’re still feeling exhausted. Could you ask for b12 injections? Nothing wrong with moaning pregnancy is hard work and it’s full on. If you need to I would? I’ve been signed off again this week on rest which helping.

peps2917 · 09/09/2025 16:25

@Jadeypie feeling the hormones too!! My husband travels for work a lot and I was sooooo anxious about him going away this time (normally I love it ha!).

Aww forgot you had that. Glad all went well and make sure you rest as much as you can. I keep thinking about going off work xx

I’m happy I did it as well and didn’t wait as my cervix had got shorter since last week. Yeah I’m off the rest of the week. Mt little boy with his nanna so I can just rest. Do it if you need to. Listen to your body

RealTealQueen · 09/09/2025 16:30

I went for another reassurance scan today. All still going well! 22+5 and he’s still measuring a bit bigger.

Sorry to hear everyone is struggling with tiredness and sickness. I nodded off at my desk the other day!

Yes, I know what you mean. It’s all just a few mm isn’t it? He seems to be measuring 23+3 looking at the report.

Yeah was the right thing to do. I was so scared for the surgery but the team were amazing. Kept me calm let me listen to my headphones. Was literally 20 minutes from spinal in and then finishing. Yeah wouldn’t be able to rest without her help xx

WanderWalker · 09/09/2025 17:42

I’m not doing all that great either. I’ve been trying to get an appointment with my GP for weeks and weeks to have my bloods done because I don’t feel right can barely stand some days as so dizzy and heart palpitations and not in with the midwife till October. Finally had them done…low iron, b12 none existent, infection marker and thyroid reading not great 😓 on iron, have to have b12 injection but having to wait for weeks for an appointment to have that too! The care has been terrible where I am and never any appointments to get anything done.

@Jadeypie oh no pelvic pain is awful and still having to look after little ones is hard work. I feel for you

@Sunshinemoom really glad the stitch went in and you are okay. I hope you have your feet up resting ❤️

@RealTealQueen aw that’s a lovely scan pic 😊 glad everything is ok.

Jadeypie · 09/09/2025 18:05

@WanderWalker oh bless you! Sounds like a nightmare. I miss the days you could book a appointment with ease or for another day hate all this ringing at 8 oclock for that day appointment. Glad they figured out what's been causing ypu to feel crap! Can u not get b12 injection privately? Xx

@Sunshinemoom well I think your brave i would of been a mess! Hopfully you can but it behind you now and feel abit more secure this stitch is there xxx

Edited

Sorry to hear you’re not well @WanderWalkercould you call your triage and ask if they do it there? Ours we get done at the hospital so seems a bit quicker than waiting for a doctors appointment.

yeah I’m at home now all resting.!

@Jadeypieoh I was internally but knew it needed to be done. Helped I had some staff in there who was there for my son and in the same theatre I gave birth to him in. Yeah back in a few weeks for a check up but feel a lot better now it’s in xxx

Glad it went well, it’s not something I was familiar with until this thread - so crazy the stuff women go through!

I’m back at gp tomorrow to see if the b12 supplements have increased my levels, not sure what happens if they haven’t - assume they go to injection?

I just feel like my boss will roll her eyes if I get a line in for tiredness, but honestly I’m at the point of tears most days and all I do is work, do dinner and put toddler to bed. Then do it all over again the next day.

WanderWalker · 09/09/2025 21:00

Thanks for the advice I might call them and see if they can give it to me sooner 😊

@Nynm23 if you are still feeling rubbish I would ask for the injection. I would try get a fit note and take some time off. Don’t run yourself into the ground. They also can’t do anything if it’s pregnancy related even if they don’t like it!

dubkitten · 09/09/2025 21:30

All good here, nausea seems to have gone so hopefully stays away this time. Have been getting awful heartburn the last few days but the Gaviscon chewables seem to help.

Finally got the baby rhesus status back and they are negative also so no anti-d injection needed.

Thegirlhasnamechanged · 10/09/2025 09:31

All good here too. I’ve an anterior placenta and feeling some pretty strong jabs (like on the outline of my bump rather than the front), heartburn like mad and crying at the drop of a hat - such fun!

I noticed last night that one nipple is starting to leak. I breastfed both of my other children but don’t remember having issues with leaking prior to birth so this is new territory

Jadeypie · 10/09/2025 13:17

Seriously ive had more sobbing breakdowns this week than in my life!! Im starting to think is this the progesterone thats making me so emotional and triggered all the time. I keep taking everything so personal too the point I sob and crnt calm down as quickly. Xxx

TigerLily38 · 10/09/2025 13:19

Hi everyone, back after a little break as my anxiety was pretty bad so was trying to limit how much I was on my phone (terrifying myself with Google mainly!) Hope everyone is doing well ❤️

Had our 20w scan yesterday at 21w exactly, and all fine 😊 lovely seeing people's scan photos on here!

Random new symptom though...yesterday and today I've been getting sudden waves of feeling like I'll be sick, then it passes...I dont feel badly nauseous but every now and then just feel as though I could throw up! I was very fortunate to not have morning sickness in the first trimester so I'm not sure whether this is a pregnancy type symptom or just something random - has anyone else felt similar or can explain if this is pregnancy nausea feels like please? X

I would say morning sickness feels like really bad travel sickness! Glad your scan went well and baby's doing great your over half way there 🥰 xxx

Neither had I. I was so obvious that it could be an issue.

hope your appointment went well today, I know B12 injections I think you have 6 over a period of time. Seen a few tiktokers have to had them.

cant carry on like this, I know it hard but get a sick note your health and wellbeing come first xxx

@Jadeypie Oooh maybe it's just something random I'm having this week then as it just seems to come on and then go again - weird!

Also just saw your post above mine about feeling emotional - this is me too at the moment!! Absolutely sobbed on the weekend despite trying to stop myself getting too worked up - definitely all the hormones! I then happy cried when in a baby shop the other day, picked up a book about a mummy and baby turtle and was in tears because it was so lovely🙈🤣🤣🤣 xxx

I would agree with @Jadeypie it’s like bad travel sickness. Mine stopped after the 1st trimester, but I do get random waves of nausea, so it’s prob pregnancy related 😊 The joy of random symptoms that just appear! I was sick out of no where this morning and then straight back to normal, then had a random nosebleed 🤣 feel like I’m falling to bits!

Glad your scan went well 😊
