@RealTealQueen thanks! I'm not a huge fan of flying, it's too crowded and noisy haha so I'm hoping to just survive. Flying for work so out on Thursday, back on the Sunday which is a lot, and especially as work don't know I'm pregnant so that's fun...

Hi all. I’m 10+4 today and yesterday and today I’ve had like a dull heavy ache at the bottom of my stomach, sometimes it’s a little sharper but only for a few seconds.
In was going to speak to my midwife yesterday, but she was an hour late so I text her and she had knocked herself out with painkillers and was off sick but hadn’t thought to tell me….
anyway, could this be normal stretching of my uterus? I’ve had two losses previously, no other pregnancies and have never got this far so I’m anxious but hoping it’s nothing.

any previous experiences would be welcomed. Thank you

Around the same time I got dull ache and put it down to stretching, I’m now 13+3 and it has settled again. I totally understand the worry hopefully midwife will be back soon to explain it more than me xx

@Sunshinemoom oh really? Thank you for your reply, that’s reassuring. 🙂♥️

Yeah I had it on and off for about a week and half. And took it as everything is stretching!

Hi, I’ve also had the dull ache off and on (I’m 15wks 2days). I’ve put it down to stretching.

I would speak to your midwife though if you are worried, sometimes in that area it can be a water infection (I’m not medically trained, just had that in a previous pregnancy 😊)

Jadeypie · 08/07/2025 18:29

@AiRoo ive been the same today! like a heavy feeling im 14+5, I wouldn't say any pains, just like a weird sensation. Im not sure if its baby moving, trapped wind or what hahah. Could be both 🤔 I do feel like my womb has come alot higher today. So think things might be shifting around. Its crazy how much change can happen in a day or two xx

When did everyone start feeling better? I’m 11 weeks tomorrow and have had fairly mild symptoms from 6 weeks like sore nipples, nausea but no vomiting and tiredness but the last few days these symptoms have really dropped off. My NHS scan isn’t till a week Friday and I’m feeling a bit worried!

Completely understand the feeling I'm 12 weeks today. Nausea and vomiting started to ease around 11 weeks for me. Although it had been coming in waves for a couple weeks before that.
So I'm still wondering if it will come back and then worried about it easing at the same time!

It's scary but it I think it's normal. Try not to worry about it and hopefully your scan will be here before you know it.

Its very normal because your placenter starts to take over. But totally get why it makes you worried.

Im 15 weeks and I do feel so much better from when I was in the trenches. Still get the off vomiting or random neasua but its not enough to complain. Tiredness is still the same. With my 1st I was fresh as a daisy from 12 weeks without a problem xxx

I would do anything for it to subside even a little bit. And yeah when I was in hospital doctor said it was HG as it was more than normal pregnancy sickness/nasuea! Xx

Yeah the doctor warned me it could last up to birth 😭😭 I hope it doesn’t or even if it gets a bit less I would be so grateful. No moan away pregnancy is hard work at the best of times makes me feel better not just me moaning about how I feel 🤣 xx

@Sunshinemoom fellow HG’er here. GP has prescribed me Xonvea last week after telling them I felt like I was going to die of vomiting (slightly dramatic, but I did honestly feel like I was a goner) and they have been a life saver. My HG lasted til 20 weeks last time, just sharing incase that gives you some hope. It’s rough.

Pregnancy with a toddler is a wild ride.

hoenstly it’s so rubbish isn’t it. I did find Xonvea and prochlorepazine helped the when I first started to take them. Now it doesn’t seem to do anything, the only other thing the doctor can prescribe is ondansetron now which I’ve had when I’ve been in hospital. I’m lucky work been so supportive and have a meeting soon to see what else they can do to help me cope with work and sickness been signed off the last few weeks.

there is hope! I had sickness with my first pregnancy but nothing like this and with him it lasted until 18 weeks.

yeah it’s so much harder this time chasing after a older child!

Oh no, you’re doing amazing for coping with limited medication working. I’m signed off too, same with first pregnancy. Luckily my work are also relaxed about it, as I learned from last time not to push myself so this time don’t feel as guilty as I did last time.

Has anyone here flown long haul in second trimester? I'm going to be flying 8hrs next week when I will be 15 weeks. Apart from compression socks and taking all my anti nausea/acid reflex medication, anyone got any tips? I seem to get really uncomfortable quickly currently so sitting still in a small seat for that long is worrying me 🤣

Not long haul but I've flown 4.5 hours at 17 weeks before. I wore compression tights and made sure I moved around a lot, and it was fine x

I had my first scan today and it was lovely. Saw my happy baby wiggling away. I'm a few days further ahead than I thought, measuring 13+2 so now due 12th January 😊

I think that’s been my biggest thing not over doing it and just listening to my body! I’ve gone back to work this week and definitely told myself don’t over do it or you be signed off again

TigerLily38 · 10/07/2025 08:44

@WanderWalker @Moosey898 thanks so much for replying, it's interesting how it's so different depending on where you live!

Mine turned out to randomly be routine bloods (I do have a previous underlying health condition that I think they're just monitoring, as it can come back in pregnancy) and she said the screening bloods will be the same day as my scan when I'm 13+2. The wait continues!🤣 x

WanderWalker · 10/07/2025 09:10

I’m at the weird stage now, I’ve had my 12 week scan a few weeks back, symptoms now eased off, can’t feel a lot of movement yet and my 20 week scan isn’t for another month…so I’m like are you still in there? Are you still okay? I’ve got quite a visible bump, but the not knowing still stresses me out. Is anyone else feeling that way?

Its like being in limbo isnt it! My 20 weeks scan seems so far away in august! Ive got a midwife appointment coming up so hoping she will listen in then for some reassurance. But I have felt some movement, mostly of a morning when my bladder is really full so its pushed my womb up.

I seriously can not stop having little wees and its driving me mad 🤣 i feel like im bursting run the toilet and its a tiny wee xx
