Is anyone else considering waiting until baby is born to find out the gender? I can't decide if I want to find out or wait! My next scan is in a little over 2 weeks (16+4) but as that is an extra scan I don't think they'd say anyway, but I really don't want to know then because my other half won't be there!

Hope our cramps subside soon enough and that we don’t go too crazy waiting for the scan! Honestly if I could I would have them every week haha.

@Moosey898 my plan is to try and wait yes but I’m TERRIBLE at waiting and I always need to know everything. I will see how long it takes me to change my mind haha! A friend of mine got the midwife to write it on a piece of paper and her and her partner went to dinner and opened it together and saw which I think is a really nice idea!!!

@Moosey898 tempted not to find out this time (have a girl and a boy already) but just because I’m interested in seeing what old wives tales people throw my way 😂

We are waiting until the birth to find out the gender 😊 we wasn’t sure at first, but this will be our last baby. I also think a surprise might give me one last push because I’ll be anxious about having my c section. I thought if I am anxious, but don’t know the gender I will be think yes but I find out today! 🤣 (side note I am terrible at waiting so it will be a nightmare but I’m sure it will be so worth it)

I am 15 wks now with a little girl had blood test just before 12 wks to determine babys sex i of course will be getting them to check on 20wk scan but a friend also had this blood test earlier than I did and it was accurate

I didnt find out with my ds, was convinced he was a girl too. It really is a nice surprise! Im finding out this time though xx

I just don't know what to do, to find out or not! I know partially it's because I'm protecting myself from getting too attached...knowing the gender would make it scary real... And if something went wrong I don't know what I would do.

Just had my 12 week scan and all good with baby!! Such a relief after all the pain I’ve been feeling this weekend. Now waiting at the women’s diagnostic unit to see someone about my fibroids. It’s a walk in so the wait is loooong, but I at least know my baby is fine and healthy 🥰

How's everyone els feeling? Im on a downer today, I've had a headache since yesterday stuffy sore nose, morning sickness and feel so sorry for myself. I don't think im ever gona feel like me till baby's born 😌

Totally feel you on a downer! I’ve also got the worse headache and the doctors signed me off again for the sickness. It’s all going to be worth it in the end 😌 I hope you feel better soon!

Thank you @Sunshinemoom its hard, isn't it! I never get headaches. I feel like i can't move my head today. I've resorted to paracetamol, which hasn't really worked either. I don't really like taking anything when pregnant, but it was getting too much. Im glad it's a dull day, so I've just been on the couch all day. Aww, don't blame the Dr signing you off. You're really going through it! As you say, be all worth it in the end when all sysmtom magically disappear and we have our babies xxx

@Jadeypie @Sunshinemoom ah so sorry to hear you're both suffering still with the headaches and morning sickness 😩😔 I usually get really bad headaches when I'm hormonal that make me feel like I could be sick, so you have my total sympathy putting up with those AND morning sickness! Hope you both feel lots better soon ❤️❤️

I had my most nauseous day so far yesterday - probably not helped by the heat! Also had lots of mood swings the last few months and feeling quite down which isn't like me at all, coping ok but was a shock tbh, didn't expect to feel like that as I'm very very happy about the pregnancy! Think it's all the hormones, will keep an eye on it. My scan is a week today and I'm so anxious I just can't wait to go in and do it now! 🙈 xx

@TigerLily38 they checked my fibroids and I got some answers and some strong meds!! Got hydrocodeine. He said the fibroids feel very normal. Two of them are sitting on top of my womb so he said that’s what the bulge is - he said it’s normal for women with fibroids to start showing earlier as the fibroids make it look like the bump is bigger than it is. He also said that as the pregnancy progresses unfortunately the pain can increase and I’m at risk of something called red degeneration which is when the baby is using up all my blood supply and the fibroids don’t have any left so they’re making degenerate and this cause EXTREME pain and often women need to be hospitalised to ease the pain. There’s nothing you can do to prevent it or to treat it apart from IV drip for pain. Hopefully this won’t happen but at least I know now that if I feel terrible pain that could be happening. Anyway it was helpful to see him and he gave me some useful information at least. Lots of monitoring and for now, lots of resting!

So hard! Even worse when paracetamol not touching it. I don’t think the weather is helping my head feels like a pressure headache like it needs to rain to clear. Sometimes just need a sofa day that will be me more minus my sons pre school graduation! It was needed I struggled so much today at work. Had to keep leaving meetings to be sick which is just unprofessional so happy been signed off again. Hopefully when I’m back my sickness would of improved 🤞🏾 xx

@Jadeypie @Sunshinemoom @TigerLily38 Glad you’ve all mentioned being on a bit of a downer. I’ve felt like my emotions have been fine so far, but for the last 2 days my mood has been all over! I’m normally really laid back, but I’m getting frustrated with things and this afternoon I’ve been crying at the most random things (also not like me). I don’t think my partner knows what to do 🤣

I’m also experiencing headaches off and on too, but like you’ve said this heat really doesn’t help does it 😣

Today ive decided to put myself it a better mindset and stop being so miserable!! Im going to have a productive day! Mind over matter and all that 🤣 xx

Yeah it’s so weird my moods definitely been up and down as well. Sounds like my partner he’s not sure what he should be doing. Giving me a kiss or space 🤣

Mine disappeared last night and came in with a new microwave, kettle and matching toaster 🤣 (I’ve been moaning about ours for a while). Not sure if he just wanted to get out the house away from me or thought the purchases would cheer me up 🤣 (surprisingly they did cheer me up 😊)

@Sunshinemoom @WanderWalker bless the men they are actually terrified 🙈 hahaha mines the same!! The new toaster cracked me up 🤣🤣🤣 i actually said to mine last night am I getting on your nerves? and he paused then was like noooo. He was like a rabbit caught in the headlights haha i told him not to worry because I am getting on my own nerves. Tbh since becoming pregnant I have fully neglected him i just crnt help it i feel with all what's going on with me i just crnt be emotionally available or lovey dovey and it does make me feel guilty xx

@Jadeypie haha I can just imagine the complete panic on his face when you asked him that 🤣 Oh I’m the same. Me and my partner are normally really affectionate and I haven’t been present at all either. It’s almost like I’ve gone into my own little bubble 🤦🏻‍♀️ x

Ive just got my results back from the combined screening and its low risk. Also just had a referral to another hospital for the prem team (due to my heart shaped womb) but that lands on my 16 week midwife appointment so need to re arrange that. Why do all appointments always fall on the same day hahs xx
