@BrightGoose I stopped breastfeeding cold turkey about 3 weeks ago and I feel like my boobs are a lot more comfortable and I think my milk has gone, well pretty sure. I was getting Luke warm/cool showers to help with being uncomfortable and taking some ibuprofen.

@BrightGoose I also did what @SnakebitesandSambucas suggested to pump so you feel more comfortable, I used a hand pump and just did for a short time so my boobs felt a bit softer and the cabbage leaves, I found helped when it had been in the fridge or even left it for a short time in the freezer.

BrightGoose · 12/06/2025 14:52

Oh it’s just so uncomfortable 😣 I went in the bath earlier and I just let them leaked out it felt better at first but sore again now. I’m going to get some medication that will stop it but it’s rare so nowhere has it in stock so it will have to be ordered for tomorrow.

on a positive Mileys stool is SO much better ! So at least it’s all worth it and she alot more comfortable.

post c section not driving is driving me mad and I am also not a fan of not exercising how’s everyone dealing with the day to day new born routine

WildWhirlwind · 12/06/2025 16:24

@BrightGoose also struggling with not driving, but only a few more weeks left until I'm allowed. I sustained an injury during my operation which means I can't walk too far, otherwise I would be up and about more.

We're just muddling through still, no routine. Just trying to get through the nights, she's started to wake for milk at similar times in the night which feels great but may be a false sense of security!

Sorry to hear you're in such pain... 💐

SnakebitesandSambucas · 12/06/2025 18:23

I think having the school run and pick ups mean a routine of sorts imposed. Sometimes naps are same time in the morning. But I'm just winging it tbh. Just started longer walk in the prams and bus back. I don't drive. Finally got him to take a dummy as well 😁

SnakebitesandSambucas · 12/06/2025 18:24

@WildWhirlwind oh know what happened? Hope you are on the mend

SnakebitesandSambucas · 12/06/2025 18:25

@BrightGoose well done Miley! Bet that's a relief for both of you.

BrightGoose · 12/06/2025 19:05

Yes making me feel alittle bad that I didn’t realise something was wrong u til now just shows even with the third one I’m still just winging it 😂

Rainbowsunshine81 · 12/06/2025 22:09

@BrightGoose I'm looking forward to being able to drive again for the freedom. Have been getting out a little, taking my eldest son to school, going out with my mum on the bus, etc. Started a baby sensory class on Monday so that was good to get out for an hour. Luca has a couple of sleeps through the day and usually wakes for his feeds, sometimes goes back off again.
There are times where he cries, goes really red in the face and looks like he's holding his breath, we took him to the doctor's and he got checked over, said it could be Colic, so have been trying the infacol, it's not all the time though.

SnakebitesandSambucas · 18/06/2025 14:12

Sorry for late reply been a blur. Can't believe baby is just over a month old! Where has that time gone!!

BrightGoose · 18/06/2025 17:01

I know crazy how time has flown how is everyone doing what do all the babies weight now ?

Rainbowsunshine81 · 18/06/2025 17:37

Time definitely has flew by! Can't believe some of the babies are a month old now.

SnakebitesandSambucas · 19/06/2025 11:07

How's everyone healing up? I've stopped bleeding 👍🏻. But I've started getting itchy sensations. Still tender but only using the binder at night.

microwoods · 19/06/2025 15:20

@BrightGoose Roman is 10lb now (7lb 6 at birth a month ago) so we’re moving out of “up to 1 month” and into 0-3.

We’re in the trenches a bit with sleep, but I feel much more chilled about it this time round because I know how quickly this passes! My DD didn’t sleep through for the first time until 10 months and not regularly until a year, but I remember sleep improving after 4 months.

Hope everyone is muddling through well! X

Same here, my first didn't sleep more than 3 hours at a stretch until he was 11 months ☠️

This time around I've just gone with co-sleeping so even though he's waking up at 3am and 6am like clockwork I am at least not a zombie from getting up and feeding him in the chair then trying to put him in his cot etc etc like I was last time around!

No idea how much baby weighs (we are 7 weeks today) but he's in 0-3 and we're meant to have a HV appointment tomorrow but I think I'm going to have to cancel because I have the toddler with me on Fridays and I just cannot face wrangling a double pram in this heat.

MomToBe2025xx · 19/06/2025 16:42

Is anyone else’s baby really sleepy in this heat ?

Rainbowsunshine81 · 19/06/2025 16:45

Long last night with the heat and I think Luca is going through a growth spurt. He just wouldn't settle at all and slept on me for most of the night. I weighed Luca at baby sensory on Mon and the scales said 10.30 if that's right, that was with a nappy and baby grow on.

Rainbowsunshine81 · 19/06/2025 16:47

@MomToBe2025xx Luca seems to be sleeping a bit more in this weather and also seems to want feeding more frequently.

microwoods · 19/06/2025 18:01

@TheBeesKnee I was curious about weight so did the not-so-scientific method of weighing myself holding him, then weighing myself not holding him and calculating the difference!

I’ve been trying to keep him in his next to me but the last few days he’s got in the bed from about 6am because he just won’t be put down but settles beautifully in the bed!

SnakebitesandSambucas · 19/06/2025 19:16

Feeding a lot more. But omg he hates the pram. And I hate the sling as it pulls. 😂. He's had a few naps in his snuz pod. I'm trying not to clock watch at night as it just used to depress me 😄

BrightGoose · 19/06/2025 19:49

Miley is still only 8 pounds at 4 weeks old. Im
hoping that now her milk has been changed she will start gaining. She slept all morning woke for a feed and slept all afternoon she’s Ben awake since about 5:30 now and she just getting ratty, this is our normal routine to be fair defo her witching hours

Rainbowsunshine81 · 19/06/2025 22:22

Think it's definitely the heat and another long night ahead. White noise seems to help for a period of time. Does anyone know what day it is as they all seem to roll into one 🙉

It's Thursday. I always know when it's Thursday because Freddie was born on a Thursday and the baby app emails me every week letting me know how old he is.

Rainbowsunshine81 · 20/06/2025 04:07

@TheBeesKnee all the days seem to merge into one and the days seem to fly by.
