@BrightGoose That's probably what it was, poor little man. Hopefully I'll be able to have him with me soon, I'm going to ask today if they have any idea. Xx

WildWhirlwind · 08/05/2025 08:53

@Rainbowsunshine81 congratulations!! Hoping you're reunited soon!

BrightGoose · 08/05/2025 09:06

@Rainbowsunshine81 yes ask all the questions my son was born at 36+5 so not that early but needed three days in the neonatal unit for low blood sugars… after the first night I insisted I was moved to a side room as everyone was in the bay with their babies and I was without mine and it made me feel sad as well as being woke up by everyone else’s baby and not mine.. they soon moved me sending lots of positive thoughts

Rainbowsunshine81 · 08/05/2025 09:45

@BrightGoose they moved me yesterday evening from a postnatal ward as little man is in neonatal and not with me, I thought I was getting moved to a side room, but have been put on a ward with antenatal ladies. Thank you ❤️

Rainbowsunshine81 · 08/05/2025 09:45

@WildWhirlwind Thank you ❤️ I'm hoping so! Xx

BrightGoose · 09/05/2025 11:38

@PickledElectricity I think you may have been missed here hun we currently have 3 new threads thehe

TheBeesKnee · 09/05/2025 11:45

Hello everyone, just checking in! This thread was hard to find!

microwoods · 09/05/2025 12:20

I had a sweep this morning (well, attempted sweep) and it was bloody awful! I’m 39 weeks today. She said she could get her finger through the cervix so I’m a little dilated but it’s still long and tubular and not fully forward so not looking particularly favourable. Not what I wanted to hear after start/stop contractions I’ve been having. Feeling pretty fed up now! How is everyone else doing? X

SnakebitesandSambucas · 09/05/2025 12:46

Hi all I saw a thread had been deleted? Just catching up. A week today for baby to arrive. But my swollen legs and headaches are tipping me into pre exclampsia just sooo fed up now! And still got loads to do.

SnakebitesandSambucas · 09/05/2025 12:47

@microwoods ooh that's not good. Hope it settles down and starts the process properly for you.

@Rainbowsunshine81 how are you both doing xx

LeBonBon · 09/05/2025 13:35

40+2 today. Had dance class with my DD this morning. It's soooo hard managing a toddler and being this pregnant - I just want him out 😖

Feeling back ache today which started yesterday and overnight I was woken up a few times by very brief tightenings. 2nd sweep tomorrow and induction Sunday. Not long now I hope!!

BrightGoose · 09/05/2025 13:36

I’m 37+3 and just had bile acids results that were high but not overly high so that’s sent my anxiety through the roof just have to go through the motion with it and being monitored.

hope everyone else is doing ok!

BodeAkuna · 09/05/2025 13:59

Well, my baby arrived via an emergency Caesarean after a range of complications got worse. It hasn’t been easy but I’m so happy that he’s safely here. Postnatal care is very stressful and I am really relieved to be at home now. Really enjoying hearing about the new arrivals and wishing everybody is still pregnant a smooth final week or two!

BrightGoose · 09/05/2025 14:17

Congratulations @BodeAkuna !! Enjoy your newborn snuggles !

Poster57 · 09/05/2025 14:26

I did wonder why there had been no notifications for a while 😂 congratulations to all who’ve had babies arrive and hope you’re doing well and not feeling it too warm to those still waiting ❤️

SnakebitesandSambucas · 09/05/2025 14:42

@BodeAkuna sounds like a whirlwind. I'm glad your both here safely take care of yourself x

Beccaa123 · 09/05/2025 19:29

Our little girl was born on Wednesday via emergency C-section.
Had went in for induction and it was working, 7 hours of contractions later & neither me or baby were coping with the medication.
To say I am exhausted is an understatement!

microwoods · 09/05/2025 19:43

Congratulations @BodeAkuna and @Beccaa123 ❤️

@GraySweatpantshas your little one arrived yet? X

GraySweatpants · 09/05/2025 19:59

@microwoods Thank you for checking in! Our little one arrived on 6th May - two days overdue which is exactly like her sister. A chunky 8lbs8 born vaginally with tiny bit of tear and of course epidural like I wanted 😁

Overall it was a great experience, except it wasn’t that quick like people warned me about with second birth haha

Toothfairy0113 · 09/05/2025 20:22

@microwoods aahh, so disappointing! Are you going to have another go?

CONGRATULATIONS @BodeAkuna @Beccaa123 and @GraySweatpants 🎉💐 Hope you're all doing ok x

@SnakebitesandSambucas eurgh, awful! Sending hugs ❤️

@Rainbowsunshine81 hope you guys are doing ok 💙

I'm 38+4. Car seat arrived today finally so we're good to go now 🥳 Apart from the fact my eldest has her SATs next week 🙈🙈🙈 So husband's said I have to wait until atleast next Friday when they're done 🤣

BrightGoose · 09/05/2025 20:28

@Beccaa123 and @GraySweatpants congratulations !! Hope you are all doing well

microwoods · 09/05/2025 23:42

There’s absolutely no way I’m doing that again! Unless for some reason I end up needing a medical induction and it’s a last resort before that. The only reason I accepted it today is because my daughter’s birthday is next week, and I thought if a sweep will increase my chances of labour in the next 48 hours I should do it to give them more of a chance of not sharing a birthday! X

Rainbowsunshine81 · 10/05/2025 06:03

@Toothfairy0113 I can't remember what I've written my head is smashed and feeling quite emotional and tired. Little Luca is on the neonatal unit, not on any air flow, but back on a feeding tube down his nose to help with the jaundice. I've been expressing my milk for him to have and have been trying him at the breast, he sort of knows what to do, but we are both still learning. I'm hoping he can be moved to a low dependency unit where they concentrate on feeding.
Hope everyone is ok ❤️

Rainbowsunshine81 · 10/05/2025 06:08

@SnakebitesandSambucas I'm so tired and very emotional, think it's a crash of pregnancy hormones. Little Luca is still in the neonatal unit, not currently on any air flow, but has had a feeding tube put in his nose to help with sugar levels as he has jaundice. I'm expressing with a pump so he can have my milk and also trying to breastfeed. He's sort of got the idea, but we're still learning. Whether he's sleepy from the jaundice I'm not sure. He's had antibiotics just to be on the safe side incase there's been an infection.
Hope everyone is ok ❤️

BrightGoose · 10/05/2025 06:13

Aww @Rainbowsunshine81 ! I know it’s so super hard but sounds like your doing everything you can for him, absolutely sucks having your hormone crash and not with baby properly yet.. hopefully he’s moved soon and u can spend all the time doing skin to skin and cuddles, your milk should be coming in soon properly so he’ll be better at maintaining his sugars then. My son had the same issue then all of a sudden turned a corner and was fine. Sending lots of positive thought try and rest as much as possible your still recovering yourself
