Hi guys,

if like me you’ve just got your BFP, then it’s likely you’re due in January too!
congratulations.

I'm in shock. Things looked ok at my scan, measuring 8+2, so one day smaller than my dates. Back in 2 weeks for a rescan. I'm still scared though, means I have to register for a booking appointment and I hate doing that. Feels like tempting fate. I know to some people that will sound silly but to anyone who has had recurrent loss hopefully it makes sense!

SureLook · 02/06/2025 10:55

@Moosey898 I'm absolutely delighted to hear all went well at the scan. I've had one loss but I know what you mean about booking things ahead. You wonder to yourself will I even need this in the end? But all is well now so try and enjoy it ❤️

So pleased to hear everything went well at your appointment, feels surreal doesn’t it? When I went for my early scan I thought it was bad news as I’ve had recurrent losses and I thought I was measuring at 7w4d but I was estimated to be 8w1d! Completely threw me off. Still makes you scared though, I’m supposed to be 10w tomorrow and it just still doesn’t feel real although the sickness is relentless

Jadeypie · 02/06/2025 12:09

@Moosey898 aww lovely news 😊 so glad all is well with little bean ❤️

If your in the UK get that midwife booked! I understand it's nerve wrecking after a loss (I've been there) but mine took over 3 weeks for a appointment to come through!! with you being over 7 weeks you'll be classed as urgent now xx

Brilliant news! Let’s hope everything stays on track. I know what you mean about the booking in appointment - sometimes feels like “what’s the point?” But it’s time now! Xxx

So excited to be joining this thread! Got my first faint positive at 4+3 (according to flo app) the second one was 4+5.
Currently 6+4 and due 23rd Jan 2026 ( my late fathers birthday!)
LMP 18/4/25
First baby, second pregnancy - last pregnancy was 2011.
I am 37 and wasn't sure if it would ever happen again naturally!
Wasn't TTC so had all been a bit of a shock and I didn't realise how anxious I'd be regarding first trimester!
I keep telling myself my dad wouldn't be cruel enough to send me a gift and then take it away, and that's the only thing that keeps me going!
Symptoms have been sporadic, so prior to getting my BFP I genuinely thought i was suffering sudden onset depression, felt really low. I was pooping way more than normal (tmi)
But didn't even think i was until I was on cycle day 30 and no signs.
I then got some pain free spotting and that's when I knew.
The first test I was unsure if it was actually a positive!
Now I'm just having breast tenderness, bloating has been unreal, I thought I was gonna cry last Tuesday it was so bad I couldn't hide it! And waves of nausea but no vomit.
Sometimes I feel absolutely fine and then convince myself something must be wrong! Then I get the wave of nausea, but all in all feeling ok.
Sense of smell is through the roof, didn't realise how bad my car smelt, so yesterday I had to clean it out!
So excited to see how things progress for everyone else!
❤️❤️❤️

Aww I'm 6weeks and 4 days aswell. Pretty nervous about it all honestly but trusting that all will be well 😀 My symptoms being sore boobs, heartburn and peeing frequently.

Kind of waiting and hoping for the morning sickness / nausea for it to feel more real.

Bubblegum2887 · 02/06/2025 14:38

@Sunshine1621 well I am drinking that much water these days I can't say I have noticed the weeing as much!
But pooping what feels like all the time!
I'm waiting for the 7 week mark to feel like death! So I am trying to make the most of it now while I can!
Got a 10 day holiday booked for when I'm 9 weeks so that should be interesting! Not looking forward to that plane ride and transfer if I'm feeling unwell.
Luckily flight times are reasonable!

Hoping the best for our pregnancies.

Glad you’ve got your scan booked in. Although I’m sure the wait is horrible 😓 sending lots of love and positive energy your way. Fingers crossed for your scan x

Fingers crossed. I’m at my EPU tomorrow too. Keep us posted. I hope everything is OK. Xxx

SureLook · 03/06/2025 06:30

@RealTealQueen sorry if I missed this but why do you need to go to EPAU also? I hope everything is OK!

peps2917 · 03/06/2025 07:07

Hope things go ok at EPU today, let us know.

how’s everyone else feeling? The nausea is really annoying - I have it pretty much all day but it’s relatively manageable. I can only eat extremely bland foods which is so unlike me!! But hey what can you do…

I have an early scan on the 15th. Really can’t wait for that.

Jadeypie · 03/06/2025 07:40

Thinking of use at the epu today, hope all goes well and keeping positive for use Ladies 🫠

@peps2917 my sickness was like that from week 6 all day long spewed a couple times but God it had me depressed! But I've noticed the last two days (9+4) it's calming down and not consuming me. Yesterday was my best day and i was emotional because i actually felt ok for the first time jn weeks! Im still on the bland train tho because the taste in my mouth gets worse with strong flavours 🤢 xx

Jadeypie · 03/06/2025 07:40

Just to add I've woke up starving like I could eat a three course meal hahah.....I've already had cereal xx

peps2917 · 03/06/2025 07:56

@Jadeypie Ugh yeah it’s crazy! Currently 6+3 so yes, really feeling it. I can’t stomach salads or anything healthy haha. Mornings are definitely the worst for me and evenings. I am struggling to sleep as I feel sick. Luckily during the day it does calm down a little bit but it’s always there lingering.

I am keeping oat cakes next to bed for when I first wake up as that helps and also I find that sucking lemons helps and sucking sweets.

Is anyone else struggling to get to sleep too? I think digestion is slower… I am trying to eat like 1.5 hrs before bed but still doesn’t feel enough. The issue is that I go to bed really early and I eat dinner at like 7ish so I can’t possibly wait any longer than an hour! Maybe I need to have lighter meals?

LilacPombears · 03/06/2025 08:04

hope things go ok for those at epu today 💕

I went for a private scan last week and found I’m a week further on from an early one I had at epu! And saw some movement and a nice strong heartbeat so feeling a bit less anxious. I still haven’t heard a thing from a midwife though, no booking appointment yet or further dates in the diary and I’ll now be 10 weeks on Wednesday 😬 I phoned yesterday and they didn’t seem that bothered and told me to phone back next week if I still hadn’t heard but I’ll be well into the 10th week by then…anyone else had this? It’s my first so no previous experience to go by!

As for nausea, I’ve been well in the trenches too 😂 the thought of pretty much all food has me gagging 🤢

SureLook · 03/06/2025 08:19

@peps2917 I'm doing OK. The tiredness ramped up over the weekend. I had to have two naps which I never normally do. Also extremely sore boobs. 6+1 today with a scan booked for next Wednesday.

My sleep hasn't been great either. I just blame the hormones 😂

@LilacPombears delighted to hear the scan went well. I'm not sure about the booking in appointment. I'm in Ireland and sometimes your first appointment isn't until 13/14 weeks depending on which hospital you go to.

That was me on Saturday had Italian, subway and maccies in one day 😂. My nausea is back so back to me struggling to eat anything.
