Bit of an update from me…I went for an early scan yesterday and I am actually further along than we thought. Turns out we won’t be having a January baby after all 🤣 we will be having a Christmas baby!! 🤦🏻‍♀️ The midwife said It’ll be planned c section at 39 wks, due to previous so with any luck I’ll be home by Christmas Eve (her exact words). I think my jaw was on the floor the whole time 😮

I hope everyone is holding up okay! I’m with you all on the bloating and tiredness, if I sit down for one minute I’m asleep.

SureLook · 31/05/2025 21:23

@WanderWalker oh wow, that's a lot to get your head around! The timing is just the way it was meant to be x

Yeah good timing to go see that. Yeah I’m sure he will. And yeah I am. He loves playing with my partner as well but he works nights so I naturally up more through the day with him 🙈 xx

Is anybody utterly exhausted? I’m only 5 weeks and I’m shattered. I can’t remember if I felt like this with my son. Granted, I now have a 3.5 year old to chase around so that doesn’t help with the tiredness 😂

9 weeks ere and eyeballs constantly on fire!! Xx

oldmcdonald87 · 01/06/2025 11:51

I’m 6 weeks tomorrow and I’ve had some bright red bleeding this morning 😔 my early pregnancy symptoms disappeared a week ago too so I’m fearing the worst. So anxious. Going to call GP tomorrow.

Sorry to read this 😔 you can ring the epu, they might scan or do bloods for you xx

SureLook · 01/06/2025 12:07

@Henbags exhausted! But also struggling to switch off and go asleep. But when my alarm goes off in the morning 😫

@oldmcdonald87 I'm sorry to hear that. As already suggested, I'd ring the EPAU today if you can.

oldmcdonald87 · 01/06/2025 12:22

@Jadeypie @SureLook In my area only a GP can refer to EPU so I’ll have to wait until tomorrow to arrange anything 😔

Thank you 😊 we are all very excited/nervous! I’m hoping this means I am closer to my sickness being over with too 🤣 xx

WanderWalker · 01/06/2025 13:12

@oldmcdonald87 so sorry to hear this. Fingers crossed all is okay. Sending lots of positive energy your way ❤️ xx

SureLook · 01/06/2025 13:20

@oldmcdonald87 is there an out of hours GP service in your area? Sorry you're going through this x

If you call 111, they can book you in with your local Urgent Care centre, who can then refer to EPU. Hope you’re doing OK. I’ve been through the same and it’s awful. Xxx

oldmcdonald87 · 01/06/2025 14:31

@RealTealQueen I tried the 111 form and it said to contact GP or A&E. I didn’t want to spend the day in A&E with a toddler so will contact GP tomorrow and see how bleeding progresses. It’s been very light and not increased yet. Did your experience end in MC? If it did, did you have pregnancy symptoms? I don’t know if the fact my minor symptoms disappearing at 5 weeks is a bad sign or if they were just fluctuating. I know disappearing symptoms can be a sign of MC. I’m just praying for a miracle 😔

Yes, sadly. I thought I was at 10 weeks but the scan showed baby had stopped growing two weeks earlier. It was devastating. I remember thinking a few days earlier that my heartburn hadn’t been nearly as bad for a few days and that I felt “better”. The bleeding just seemed like a period when it started. I hope you have a better outcome. Sending love. Xxx

Moosey898 · 01/06/2025 15:41

Got my first scan tomorrow. I've got such high risk of it being bad news I'm terrified. Not because I won't get over it if it is bad news - I've been there before, I know I will. I just don't want to have to go through it again. 😣

Hi, I've just been watching this thread but just wanted to say I'm so sorry to read this. I hope EPU can scan you soon and that all will be ok. Just to say I had bright red bleeding with 2 previous pregnancies and both resulted in healthy births. Im sorry you have to wait to see them and I really hope everything will be ok for you 🤞🙏 x @oldmcdonald87

oldmcdonald87 · 01/06/2025 16:53

@RealTealQueen @MuddyPawsMama Thank you. I’m praying everything will be ok 🙏🏻 the bleeding seems to have stopped (never got heavy enough to go on pad) but my disappearing symptoms in addition to the bleeding makes me worry. I have had some waves of nausea this afternoon but it could very well be the anxiety. Will keep you posted.

SureLook · 01/06/2025 19:53

@oldmcdonald87 try not to stress too much. The fact that it's fading/not going on a pad and you haven't had any pain/cramps is a great sign. Keep us posted for tomorrow.

@RealTealQueen sorry about your MMC. It's devastating isn't it? I had one in January. Hopefully we all have sticky beans this time 🤞🏻

@Moosey898 I've everything crossed for you for tomorrow. Keep us posted ❤️

MuddyPawsMama · 01/06/2025 20:36

@oldmcdonald87 I'm sure that does add to the worry but hopefully you'll get seen soon and I hope everything goes well for you 🤞🙏

And everyone else too 🤞🙏
