Hi guys,

if like me you’ve just got your BFP, then it’s likely you’re due in January too!
congratulations.

I find it absolutely ridiculous that people can't just accept that you're not drinking. It's madness that we have to make up these excuses. One that I do find works quite well is saying that you've got something on early the next morning and you have to drive and don't wanna be over the limit.

SnoreyMushroom · 25/05/2025 06:49

Hi ladies, can I join in?

I found out at 8dpo, 2 weeks ago now. I’m 5 weeks 2 days with no symptoms except for raging anxiety 🙃. I’m 35 and this is my first.

SureLook · 25/05/2025 07:25

Welcome @SnoreyMushroom oh the anxiety is real! I did find it fades as you move out of the first trimester though 🤞🏻

Moosey898 · 25/05/2025 08:25

Hey @SnoreyMushroom welcome! I'm queen of the anxiety so you're in good company 😂

cowgirlmama · 25/05/2025 09:25

Hey Ladies. I’d love to join too ☺️ I think i’m about 6 weeks pregnant with my second. I had every symptom under the sun with my first by this time but hardly any symptoms this time round.

SureLook · 25/05/2025 09:54

Welcome @cowgirlmama hopefully you won't have any bad symptoms this time!

TTCno1in23 · 25/05/2025 10:56

Hey everyone! Jumping on this thread as I’ve had a positive test this morning, our first month trying for baby no2 so it’s a bit of a shock! I’ve also got an abroad hen do in 2 weeks which I’m now dreading slightly as getting through 3 nights with no suspicion from my friends is going to be mission impossible 🤣

SureLook · 25/05/2025 11:16

@TTCno1in23 welcome and congratulations! Oh god, how are you going to manage that?

TTCno1in23 · 25/05/2025 14:23

@SureLook I’ve honestly no clue😅 think I might have to tell one of them and have her help me hide it from the rest?!

SureLook · 25/05/2025 14:41

@TTCno1in23 that's a good idea! Hopefully they'll manage to order all your drinks for you 🤞🏻

Nynm23 · 25/05/2025 17:44

Currently in Ibiza on a hen. Have just told people I dont drink any more. It’s plausible as my hangovers are diabolical. What wasn’t possible was making it to 2am to go to a club. I bowed out as I’d been up with DD1 from 5:30 and travelling all day.

Tiredness starting to hit me like a tonne of bricks and only 5w1d. Hope all feeling ok and not stressing too much!

TTCno1in23 · 25/05/2025 20:48

I wish I could use that excuse but I’ve been part of the planning and totally egged on the drinking side 🤣 hope you’re having a fab time on the hen!

SureLook · 25/05/2025 21:27

@Nynm23 fair play for even making it on the hen 😂

TigerLily38 · 26/05/2025 00:38

@Nynm23 I completely feel you! I've just got home from a wedding - luckily didn't know many people and the bride (my friend) was obviously busy, so think I got away with not drinking - but we kept getting dragged up to dance and I am literally exhausted 🤣 I'm 5w1d too! Well done for making it on the hen, hope you have a lovely time and no one catches on to the real reason you're not drinking 🤣

ChilliPeach · 26/05/2025 06:56

Hi everyone! I found out that I am pregnant last week and I’m current 4+5. I had an early miscarriage in March so every little twinge I experience now has got me panicking 🤦‍♀️

My symptoms this time are more intense though, which I hope is a sign it’s going well! I have had regular nausea in the morning, the heartburn is terrible, my rings won’t come off my fingers every time I go for a walk and my boobs feel quite bruised!!

Nonetheless, I am very happy to be here and desperately want it to progress well 💖

newbaby3 · 26/05/2025 09:06

Has anyone else been struggling to sleep but feel absolutely exhausted? By the evening, I’m in bed by 10 but can’t seem to sleep past 6am. It doesn’t matter if I force myself to stay up later, I still am awake by 6.30. I’m absolutely exhausted and having to have a nap (when I’m not working) in the afternoons!

SureLook · 26/05/2025 09:30

@newbaby3 same! I'm wrecked in the evenings, falling asleep on the couch. But I'm waking frequently and then waking before 6am ish most mornings! I think it's Mother Nature's way of preparing us for the broken sleep 😂

NiftySheep · 26/05/2025 09:39

Hi team 👋

Congrats on all your pregnancies! Happy to be joining, pregnant with #2! 4w3d, the line just getting darker and darker since the first positive 13DPO. Due date 29th Jan, but will most likely be having a c-section so could be before then.

Due January 2026 ✨
curliegirlie · 26/05/2025 10:04

@ChilliPeachI feel exactly the same. I’m currently 4w2d after a MC in March and will be holding my breath until I get to 6 weeks without bleeding! And all the rest of course!

My body wakes me up at 4:30 and 6:30 like clockwork every night! And then as soon as I’m awake at 6:30 I must go to the toilet immediately! The last 2 days I’ve snoozed a bit after but that almost makes me more tired!

SureLook · 26/05/2025 10:31

Welcome @NiftySheep and congratulations!

ChilliPeach · 26/05/2025 11:04

@curliegirlie fingers crossed for us both!! 💖 I have a really good feeling about it this time but it will always be in the back of my mind after what happened last time.

Jadeypie · 26/05/2025 13:01

My sleeps been up the wall since the day I've found out! Wake up multiple times a night then up at bloody half 4 or five if I'm lucky! I was like this with ds so I'm assuming it's a pregnancy symptom! I'm 8 weeks and have every symtom hahahah.

Welcome to the new joiners and congratulations 🩷

I'm sick of trying to hide my pregnancy i just feel like it would be so much easier if people new like in work ect. I'm having a private scan at 10 weeks + so we can tell our ds which I'm so excited about and crnt wait to see little beans progress. We had a early scan at 5 weeks cx

SureLook · 26/05/2025 13:19

@Jadeypie I've told some very close friends but no one in work so far. I'm waiting until my scan at 7 weeks. I told more people the last time but had an MMC so I'm keeping it a bit smaller this time. Before I was shouting it from the rooftops 😂

Jadeypie · 26/05/2025 14:18

@surelook ive told a few myself if alls well with my 10 week scan i will be telling colleague ect. I hate hiding it, ive had two losses myself so i know the feeling about keeping it extra quiet. i dont feel like being quiet this time. even tho i didnt tell many with my losses i speak about them now because they matter xx
