Hi guys,

if like me you’ve just got your BFP, then it’s likely you’re due in January too!
congratulations.

@CatsCoffeeChocolate I know, it's gonna be a looooong 8 months 😂
Aww, that'll be a lovely surprise on Father's Day.
Yes, I have a two and a half year old DD. How old are your other kids?

CatsCoffeeChocolate · 23/05/2025 22:45

@SureLook . Are you hoping for any particular gender this time?
By The time baby is here, my other kids will be 16,13,9,6 and 2.
I appear to have them in pairs. 😅 Which is so funny because they also come in pairs by looks. The 16,9 and 2y/o all look like me in terms of light hair and eyes.
The 13 and 6y/o have dark features like their dad. So I’m curious as to whether we will keep our pairing theme and have another dark features baby. 🤗

SureLook · 23/05/2025 22:48

@CatsCoffeeChocolate I'd love a boy cause we won't be having anymore so one of each would be lovely. But obviously I don't care and would be delighted with another girl also.
Haha, that is gas! Or maybe this one will be a mish mash 😂
Do you have any preference gender wise?

CatsCoffeeChocolate · 23/05/2025 22:52

@SureLook Aw yeah that would be lovely to experience one of each.
we have 4 DS our most recent was finally a DD.
I have no preference at all. Part of me wants me to keep my DD as the only girl so that we can have a really close and special bond being the only females in the family, however I would love her to have a sister like myself.
I do love having boys, I find it easier to name them and I’ve just got way more experience as a boy mum. But that said, no preference at all, and we will keep it a surprise again.

SureLook · 24/05/2025 06:19

@CatsCoffeeChocolate aww, that's lovely. Are you gonna find out the gender or leave it as a surprise?

CatsCoffeeChocolate · 24/05/2025 08:47

@SureLook I will be keeping it a surprise.
what about yourself?

SureLook · 24/05/2025 09:24

@CatsCoffeeChocolate 100% finding out. I'm way too impatient 😂😂

Jadeypie · 24/05/2025 09:52

Anyone else just feel like a whimp with their symptoms? Because I do!!

All I've done is moan how sick i feel (genuinely feel awful) all I can eat is beige food! All my usual healthy meals i crnt stand to cook them or eat them! I just feel like a full on drama queen 🙈🙈 xx

SophR890 · 24/05/2025 09:56

Hi ladies can someone send me the Facebook link please? Found out I’m pregnant yesterday with my second, my daughter is 4. It’s took nearly 4 years to fall pregnant each time so I’m very nervous xx

curliegirlie · 24/05/2025 10:00

Hello all! Tentatively joining as I had my BFP last week. I'm now 14dpo and a day late so I'm past the first hurdle anyway! I had a MC in March at 6 weeks, after trying for 3 years following a first early MC, so to state I'm nervous is understatement of the century!

I've got 2 DDs, nearly 7 and 9. My EDD is apparently 31st Jan.

SureLook · 24/05/2025 10:46

@Jadeypie you're not a drama queen. You're growing a whole human which is exhausting and making you feel sick. Eat the food you need to eat and vent away!

@SophR890 welcome and congratulations ❤️

@curliegirlie welcome and congratulations ❤️ I think I recognise your username from other threads. Sorry about your losses. I had an MMC in January so I understand the nerves.

Moosey898 · 24/05/2025 11:26

@Jadeypie not at all! Early pregnancy sucks for a lot of women. Last few days my nausea has gone up a gear and now the only time I don't feel sick is when I'm eating. I'm constantly starving but simultaneously have zero appetite for anything so I'm on beige carbs too!

Jadeypie · 24/05/2025 11:57

@Moosey898 this is exactly me!! It does help knowing I'm not the only one. Xx

I've just booked a scan for when 10+4 so we can tell our little man while on our annual Wales holiday. I crnt wait to tell him just didn't feel right telling him without seeing everything is OK. We had a scan at 5 weeks so crnt wait to see the progress xx

Amazing news!! I remember your name from a ttc after mc group from my first loss. Fingers crossed this is the one🤞🏻

I feel the same. I think some people breeze through…I am not one of those people. I’ve barely moved off the sofa, can’t stand eating food I’ve cooked, don’t really fancy anything to eat just forcing myself to eat anything at the minute. So defo not on your own. All I’ve done is moan and be like a slug around the house. Let’s hope the second trimester will be our time to shine 🤣 xx

Jadeypie · 24/05/2025 13:12

@WanderWalker hahahaha i had to laugh at slug because that's the best definition 🤣 😂 😆

I was prepping our lasagne for tea at 6am because I know once the sickness overtook I would not be cooking! My poor child must be thinking why are you sooo boring all of a sudden haha xx

This is soooo weird because yesterday I cooked a lasagne at 10am for tea on the night because I knew I wouldn’t be up to it by 5!!! 🤣 it worked though because I actually ate it because it felt like I hadn’t cooked it myself 🤣

The things we do! 🤣 xx

Oh, how random hahaha!! Wonder why we don't like to cook. i find it so strange because normally I love to cook nice recipes xx

Just the general smell of the fridge is making me sick, I’m just cooking quick meals so I avoid smelling it 🤣🤣🙈

TigerLily38 · 24/05/2025 16:40

Has anyone else been super bloated early on? I'm only 5 weeks and look about 5 months today 🤣 went for a family meal and was paranoid wondering if people would get thinking as no one knows yet! 🫣🤣

Yehhh I'm so bloated! Also think it's down to all the carbs I've been consuming xx

Is anyone really struggling to hide their pregnancy? I am away this weekend with my DH’s family and they keep questioning why I am not having a drink (I would always have a few drinks on the weekend). I used the antibiotics excuse but they are saying it’s ok to have a drink or 2 on antibiotics. It feels like they are suspicious and pushing it out of me. This is my first pregnancy, and I really don’t feel comfortable telling anyone (including family) until we have at least had our first scan. It’s making me want to pull out of things we have coming up over the next few weeks which is pretty miserable 😕

Tinytotdriver · 24/05/2025 20:39

In response to some of the other posters yep
also super bloated! Everything seems to have grown already, even my rib cage etc.

Also been feeling sooo sick, haven’t been able to leave the house because I know transport will make me throw up! Not yet been sick but sometimes think if I did maybe I’d feel better.

So hard having a toddler to chase after and entertain all day as well 😩

HazelPeer · 24/05/2025 21:28

Anyone had a cyst during pregnancy and did it go away ? Had an early scan because I was having right sided lower abdomen pain and they found a 3cm cyst in my right ovary. It causing me a lot of discomfort and just praying it resolves itself shortly.

Yes! I went to a hen do with a lot of DH’s family there and had planned to drink lime and soda but tell anyone who asked that it had vodka in it. Genius plan except his sister followed me to the bar every time I ordered 😩
I figured she’ll be suspicious but in a few weeks time will know why I was off the booze but it is really tricky to navigate!
We’re due to see friends next weekend and always get through a few bottles of wine when we see them and I’m dreading trying to dodge having a drink. I’m actually hoping they cancel on us 😓
Ridiculous really that people can’t just accept ‘no thanks, I’m not drinking’
