Hi everyone, found out I’m pregnant today (only 8dpo and very very certain!!) usually I get some kind of feeling but haven’t this time, so hoping this one is kind to me in the first trimester and beyond 😅. I’m going to have a read of the thread and catch up! Congratulations to everyone for your bfps!

tiffxxx · 04/01/2025 14:51

Hi everyone is anybody due on the 11th?

Rachae · 04/01/2025 15:22

Hey everyone hope you're doing ok! 😊 I'm also on progesterone and I found the front bum too messy! So I switched 🫣. Was on progesterone all throughout my successful pregnancy and my consultant said either way was fine.

Any second time mamas have Gestational Diabetes in their first? I did and so I'm starting the diet from now just in cases xx

thismotherhoodthing · 04/01/2025 15:33

@Rachae no GD but it's something I'm conscious of this time around now I'm older so going to try and keep diet as healthy as possible. Easier said than done as the nausea has come on thick and fast today. Also have such a bad headache it's so awful I feel like my head is going to explode!

MyGardenDaisies · 04/01/2025 17:04

I’ve got light cramping today which I had with my first too. Taking that as a good sign things are growing down there

Halpmer · 04/01/2025 18:29

Just having a read now of the thread…

So sorry to those who have experienced previous losses, I hope this is your rainbow!

Also, it’s nice to see the mix of first and second etc time mamas! I have a 3yo, and a 9m old. This one will be my fourth (third earth side 🤞🏻) so we shall see. Exciting to start the year off with this news ☺️

Rachae · 04/01/2025 18:33

@thismotherhoodthing ahh give me a shout if it does develop.. so much info out there and there's a wonderful website.
I've never had any pregnancy symptoms before. Just tiredness with my son and that's definitely kicking in now. I've had to go upstairs for a lay down 😂. Hope the nausea doesn't last too long for you x

Sugarcube84 · 04/01/2025 20:38

Tentatively joining I had a faint positive yesterday at 9dpo and better one today I’ll be due the 17th expecting baby number 3

Sorry everyone just catching up, we went to London yesterday for the day and I was EXHAUSTED! so much walking 😂

Me too @Melusina123 ❤️ hopefully it becomes a less stressful page and more enjoyable one 🤞

I'm with you @Rachae one of four sisters with A 10 year age gap and we're all really close. I was hoping for a four year gap between my daughter and the baby but my husband wasn't ready until now so it'll be 5 years.
Also with you on the GD front, I had it but it wasn't diagnosed until I was in labour having a giant baby, unhelpfully so I've no idea what the diet for it is. I'm hoping they'll tell me how to be cautious at the booking appointment. They won't ignore me this time though when I tell them I'm thirsty 😅

How is everyone today? I'm a bit anxious as the sore boobs have lessened a lot, trying to tell myself it doesn't mean anything.

This is brilliant! 😁
I might buy some more tests to see if I can relieve my anxiety..

MyGardenDaisies · 05/01/2025 09:50

Morning !
4+2 today :)
impatiently waiting for Thursday(4+6) to do another digital test to hopefully see Pregnant 2-3 weeks.

My symptoms so far are missed period, in the afternoons some gentle cramps/twinges, needing to pee more often, being thirsty and the white pregnancy discharge.

No sore boobs yet, they do feel fuller, and no nausea, but I checked my first pregnancy notes and I got nauseous at 6+3.

camelinastorm · 05/01/2025 09:57

@Lemonolive09 I highly recommended the cheep 99p ones from home bargains 😂 cheep and reassuring @MyGardenDaisies Im not bothering with the digital as I never do FMU so the weeks is out all the time 😂😂

jalapen0 · 05/01/2025 09:58

Morning everyone - hope you’re all hunkering down in the cold/snowy weather today.

I managed to get my booking appointment for the end of Jan, but it feels so far away! This is my first pregnancy so feeling a bit anxious about what to do between now and then.

@Lemonolive09 I noticed my boobs felt more normal yesterday so felt a bit disheartened, but I’ve woken up with them being crazy sore and have a lovely headache as a bonus. I assume this is normal?!

rainbow324 · 05/01/2025 10:02

Morning all!
4 weeks 6 days today
Boobs do not feel as heavy as they did last week, but tiredness has hit in proper! I haven't been sleeping well at all since finding out, may be apprehension, but last night I slept for 9 hours and still feel exhausted!
Twinges come and go throughout the day.
Hope everyone is feeling well.

MyGardenDaisies · 05/01/2025 10:17

@camelinastorm I like to know the data that the hormones have increased in line with the gestational age, I did it with my first baby too ☺️
as then I know the pregnancy is progressing nicely.

I still have some cheap ones left and did one today and the line has gotten darker, but the digital just seems more precise with weeks indication.

Morning, yes it's normal because your body gets used to the hormone increase then it increases again, it doubles every few days in the first few weeks I believe.

I've also read that for me as subsequent pregnancy I might have less sore boobs where they've done it all before, less changes, so I'm trying to remember that. On my app with my pregnancy with my daughter I noted 3 occasions in the first 6 weeks where they were fine then sore again in the next few days, hope that helps you a little 🙂 x

Sugarcube84 · 05/01/2025 11:51

Well now it’s starting to sink in 😊

Hello everyone,
Past few days I've had a headache, on and off. My boobs are sore and tingly today which was one of my biggest early symptoms with my first pregnancy.

I'm also tired, but that could well be linked to having a baby who's stopped sleeping through rather than pregnancy 😅

Ah thanks for the reassurance! It’s all totally new to me, so no idea what to expect 😀

DJE24 · 05/01/2025 13:13

Hi all! I’m joining on this thread, I tested positive with a faint on Christmas Day, getting darker the few days after that! My LMP was end of November which makes my EDD 5th September and making me 5w3d today! My boobs have been super sore and I’m knackered all the time, going for a wee more often, but other than that no symptoms!

Today, I’ve started with a really low aches/somewhat stabbing pain on and off on the right hand side, I’m hoping this is just where my uterus is now growing, but it’s hard not to be worried!

I registered for my midwife referral yesterday and have also booked an early scan on 20th just for reassurance really, as 12 weeks seems so far away!

Hope everyone is doing well :)
