Hi everyone, just found out I'm pregnant today at 9dpo, I wanted to make a thread for people to join who will be due in September 2025!

I don't feel it! 😂
That's a lovely little age gap for you 😍

Rachae · 03/01/2025 20:54

@rainbow324 haha I don't think anyone does after Christmas 😂. Aww yes it it works out, it will be nice for him. I think all ages gaps are ok tho as I'm one of 4 sisters and my youngest is 12 years younger and we're best pals!
I always wanted children around mid-30s.. we had fertility issues too. So I'm tentative like a few of us on here xx

MyGardenDaisies · 03/01/2025 20:54

I’m actually looking forward to a bit of nausea as I found it reassuring with my firstborn - a sign that hormones are rising. At least till the early scan, as then the healthy heartbeat is more of a reassurance. 🤍

I am allowing myself to enjoy this time and not worry too much, and focus on making name lists, looking for a pregnancy photographer for summer time, browsing newborn section in online shops. 🥰

Eliffant · 03/01/2025 21:00

I've got a 15 month old (so she'll be 23 months when baby 2 is born, all being well) and I'm worried she'll feel pushed aside! I knew I didn't want a big age gap as my brother is 6 years older than me and we've never really got on well. But now I'm worried 2 years is too small and I'll miss out on seeing the 1st grow up. One thing I've learned since having a baby - there's always something to worry about 😅

Aww that's very reassuring to hear!
I wasn't too nervous until reading on here and have become consumed with wanting to keep testing! Had a variety of symptoms, some coming and going! Feeling OK most of the time (but I didn't have sickness etc with my other child!). Early scan to be booked for sure, but that's only because I have 1 tube / ovary so want to ensure implantation is not etopic. Sending hope, wishes and prayers to everyone worrying xx

Swings and roundabouts I guess, you can't predict their relationship! I have an 8 year gap with my brother and we get on great. I'm having a 10 year gap with my daughter & this baby (all being well) and no one knows how they will be. I have friends with kids 2 years apart, some get on great others argue constantly. Also depends what age range they are in! I wouldn't worry too much, good luck and congratulations x

I can worry about anything. In fact I worry if I'm not worried about something, in case it means I'm not worrying about something I should be 😆I think my brother resented me taking away attention so I'm hoping that won't happen as baby 1 won't remember life without baby 2. And if they don't get on, at least hitting isn't so bad if there's only 2 years difference, unlike when my brother was 11 and I was 5!

I've got a 13 month old, so we're in a similar boat!

Oh, I hadn't realised we get fewer appointments for a second one! I was looking forward to lots of time off work for them 😂

Is anyone going to go to not their local hospital? We're 20 minutes away from two different hospitals (out local is the one in town so closer but way more traffic!), but switched to the one we're "out of catchment" for late in my last pregnancy so my husband could be with me (COVID baby!). I'm planning on asking to be at the out of catchment one from the begining this time!

Our local has a bit of a bad reputation so I (and most people I know) went out-of-catchment for the first and I'll do so again. It was a bit of a PITA going to the hospital for appointments rather than the community clinic, but I've been under the same hospital for the MCs and my successful pregnancy so it feels like the devil I know at this point!

@Rachae I think that looks really good for CD30 and progression looks good too! I didn't do a FRER until CD34 (18DPO) but that line darkness looks about the same as my OneStep test from CD31 (15DPO).

PlanBea · 03/01/2025 21:16

@2U2 @rainbow324 I'm hoping my midwife will be alright, the local hospital uses a totally different notes system than the other one so I got the feeling it's more work for them, but last time it was the difference between being alone and hour after C-section or having DH the whole time I was in. This time it's just comfort in the familiar (and not having to face parking in the town!)

MyGardenDaisies · 03/01/2025 21:18

@Eliffant Our age gap will be 2.5y and I actually feel the opposite - I will get extra time with my first as I will be on mat leave for 1 year, so she will be home with me more than if I was working and she was at the nursery

camelinastorm · 03/01/2025 21:18

@Ru19 ah yes I have just seen, mine was on the 14th not much between

camelinastorm · 03/01/2025 21:21

@Ru19 what company did you use for the bloods

Eliffant · 03/01/2025 21:35

@MyGardenDaisies I hadn't thought of it that way, thanks!

Ru19 · 03/01/2025 21:47

@camelinastorm here it is https://walkin-clinic.co.uk
So much more reasonable than others I saw online and results were back in about 4-5 hours!

camelinastorm · 04/01/2025 06:31

@rainbow324 my son is 10 so know how you feel, we have been TTC for 7 years so nerve wracking I feel nervous now I have the positive test

susie1984234 · 04/01/2025 08:07

How is everyone doing today?

I'm feeling pretty normal apart from sore boobs and a bit of irritation down below due to the progesterone suppositories I'm taking - any other Progesterone girlies have the same?

Melusina123 · 04/01/2025 08:13

Morning @susie1984234 I'm feeling OK, starting to get some tiny niggles of nausea but not expecting that to hit properly until next week - my pregnancies have all been very consistent on that front.

I was on progesterone last time and I don't remember irritation. Are you doing vaginally (if not TMI 😂)? I think there is the option to do them rectally which a lot of people seem to prefer?

rainbow324 · 04/01/2025 08:16

Congratulations! Isn't it so exciting thinking about telling them. I know my daughter is going to be so happy, she's been wishing for a sibling for so so long. Xx

elsa15 · 04/01/2025 08:57

Hi everyone!

Hope you don’t mind me joining. I think I am currently about 5 weeks - it’s been about 6 weeks since my LMP but I didn’t ovulate until about CD21 so I do think I’m a week behind really. Got my BFP Christmas Day so that lines up with being about 3.5 weeks at that point.

I was testing everyday but now only every few days, lines are nice & dark and I’m just trying to not give myself anymore anxiety. I had a chemical back in April but didn’t even get this far so I’m feeling hopeful.

I’ve got an early scan booked for Friday 24th, so will hopefully get a bit more confirmation of dates then but I think I’ll be around 7 weeks 4-5 days. It’s not until you get pregnant you realise how long 12 weeks is to wait for NHS scan!

Dont have any major symptoms which is a bit worrying. First week I had really sore boobs and fatigue. Boobs still a bit tender in evening & morning now but definitely not as much, but I’m trying not to worry I know they can come & go.

Mals2022 · 04/01/2025 08:57

@thismotherhoodthing I found out on the 19th as well, what are the chances😂 my toddler is 2, how old is your little one? Have you phoned your midwife yet? I'm going to phone them tomorrow or monday.

thismotherhoodthing · 04/01/2025 09:19

@Mals2022 Aw I love that! I felt awful as I'd been on my work Christmas do on 18th and had a few cocktails as I really want expecting to test positive this month. my little one is 3. You will have a lovely age gap - I would have liked about the same but we had an awful family emergency this year which meant we put things on hold. So all being well, they'll be just under 4 years apart.

I phones my GP surgery the other day. Last pregnancy I lived in a different area and the process was different so I'm just waiting for MW to phone me I think, but the GP surgery didn't even know when that would be. I'm guessing around 10 weeks!? Are you going to have an early scan?

Ru19 · 04/01/2025 10:37

@susie1984234 I've been on them for about 3 weeks now and they’ve definitely been causing some irritation! Bit sore and itchy, but it has definitely eased off over the last week or so which I’m relieved about. I’m going to ask my ivf clinic about using them rectally instead

MyGardenDaisies · 04/01/2025 10:44

Morning!
4+1 today based on LMC but more like 4+4 from conception according to my app.

Having similarly symptoms to last time - vivid dreams, gassy, bloated, thirsty.
